Dr. Toi Neshae Dennis is truly a mover and shaker in the Clarksville, Tennessee community. Her presence graces you with beauty while her heart of servitude and leadership speaks even louder. She is the mother of one beautiful 8-yearold daughter, named Genesis. She is highly educated and holds 4 degrees, (1) Bachelors, (2) Masters, and her biggest educational achievement is her PhD in Human Service, specializing in Social Work and Community Service. She has received numerous awards for her achievements and commitment to the Middle Tennessee City of Clarksville in helping homeless women bounce back from hard times and build a new life.
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Those challenging times during her childhood, left her living a life of loneliness, shyness, isolation, and defense. However, years later, after she began to know God and built a relationship with him, her life started to shift and she now understands that the works she does today would not have happened without her story and life of yesterday. Dr. Toi is a native of Champaign, Illinois, and goes home often to spend time with her family and friends. There is much more to her story, so listen for her name as she continues to stretch towards the mark and leave an impression on the lives of everyone she meets. This one thing we know, she is definitely a woman of strength and perseverance. To volunteer or support her in the cause to tackle homelessness amongst women and children, you can visit her website at www.serenityhouseselter.com.
In many eyes, this assignment may seem like a mere mission, a feel good community outreach effort, but this task is part of Dr. Toi’s lifelong commitment. In December 2012, Dr. Toi founded Serenity House Women’s Shelter, Inc. To date, she has serviced approximately 700+ women. Dr. Toi has an up close and personal testimonial of living a life of homelessness, in which she revealed her story and truth in her book titled, “Inside My Head!”
Dr. Toi, our Xcellence, Inc. family celebrates your accomplishments and is honored to feature and share your story with our Xcellence Community Family worldwide. We applaud you for your tenacity for change and for being the hope and light in someone else’s darkest hours. Thank You!
Within her book, she reveals her childhood life of living a life of homelessness and growing up fast. She left home at the age of 17 to pursue something greater, not knowing that her past was shaping her future. She is very familiar with

“Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made” (Isaiah 43:7). Every human being is crying out for reason, purpose, and significance. Dr. Myles Munroe once said “You were created not just to exist but to live a fulfilled and significant life.” Unfortunately, there are over 6 billion people on planet Earth but only a few of them know exactly why they exist. In this article I aim to primarily do two things (1) Encourage those who understand and have clarity on why thy exist, and (2) Challenge those who may be struggling with these concepts of reason, purpose, and significance. The discouraging truth of the matter is that many people never walk into their destiny and purpose while they live on this earth. I have found that this is so for two main reasons (1) They have received the wrong information in three specific areas, and (2) They have received the right information with no application. Firstly, many individuals never walk in their destiny and purpose while they are on earth simply because they have the wrong information in three pertinent areas: (1) Wrong information about who God is, (2) Wrong information about who they are, and (3) Wrong information about why they exist. Consequently, life is filled with turmoil, frustration, anger, chaos, and unfulfillment for the simple fact that you cannot live right with the wrong information. If an individual has the wrong information concerning those areas, they are going to live their life going in the wrong direction. Soloman affirms this in Proverbs 23:7 when he writes “For as he [mankind] thinks within himself, so he is” (NASB). In distinct contrast, a second reason why human beings never walk into their destiny and purpose while on Earth is due to the fact that they have received the right information but sadly they are not applying it. There is no follow-up. This is why people can sit in a church building all of their lives and never leave changed; becoming what James calls “Self-Deceivers.” “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22). Nevertheless, an individual can recover from either of these ideologies by comprehending this simple fact and that is “You were created not just to exist but to live a fulfilled and significant life.” Personally, this statement changed my life forever and has the capacity to do the same for you Your destiny is not just to go through the motions day-in and day-out. Ultimately, God has purposed and ordained your existence for the time in which you live. However, the key to executing that which He has planned stems from understanding that you were made by Him and for Him (Isaiah 43:7).

Aundre Shaw, a Retired Master Sergeant of the U.S. Air Force, is a 24-year veteran who recognized at an early age that life is more rewarding when elevating others. Whether ensuring the safety and inspiring the confidence of countless Americans at home and abroad, to leading members of the U.S. military and its allied forces around the world, Aundre Shaw made “bridging the gap” a cornerstone in his professional and personal life. Coming from humble beginnings in Brownsville, Tennessee, Aundre learned early that the vitality of a community could enhance a youth’s drive for success in everyday life. His grandmother, Ethel Shaw, embodied that belief. She played a vital role in the West Tennessee Upward Bound outreach program empowering teens to take a proactive role in their education and define goals. Her inspiration catalyzed Aundre’s next steps.
When the U.S. Air Force offered Aundre a promising future, he seized the opportunity to realize his dream of working with aerospace technology. Upon graduating from Haywood High School in 1991, he enlisted as an Aerospace Propulsion Specialist (Jet Engine Mechanic) and embarked on a career in which he specialized in multiple USAF Cargo/Fighter/Bomber platforms. Aundre was deft at platforms such as Pratt & Whitney and General Electric series jet engines, not to include those of other U.S. and Coalition Forces. In conjunction with his primary, he held other official roles: Cross Utilization Training Crew Chief on all C-141B aircraft systems, Aircraft Battle Damage Repair Specialist, Combat Readiness Element Chief, Aircraft Production Superintendent, Exercise and Inspections NonCommission Officer in Charge (NCOIC), and Superintendent of Inspector General Inspections.
10
Aundre’s stellar career has received high praise. He has been lauded by peers as Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) of the Year, Outstanding Teammate of the Year, and Maintenance Professional of the Year, and earned Humanitarian Awards from Texas/Africa/ Curacao. While serving, he received commendations for an outstanding career by Presidents Obama, Clinton, and Bush, Jr. for Operation New Dawn, Operation Odyssey Dawn, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and countless temporary duty assignments in supporting U.S, military and its Allies. His devotion to our country is equally matched by his charitable outreach. Aundre has enriched the lives of youth in the South, West, and Midwest as a volunteer at children’s homes, mentor at juvenile detention centers, and speaker at high schools. He is an advocate for many causes; raising public awareness and support for local charities like the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tampa Bay and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Sun Coast Chapter. Aundre remains active in his community while embracing whatever challenges God sends his way. He understands that it’s only by his faith in God, love for his family, and belief in the community that his journey has been and will continue to be a fruitful one.

Styling with Wandra TRANSITIONING YOUR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON My Favorite Tips 1. Paint Color
Have you been putting off painting a room that is outdated and need a quick facelift? Color changes the complete look of a room. If you are into trends, according to Benjamin Moore, the color of the year is shadow 2117-30. For more color inspiration, visit : www.benjaminmore.com – Color Trends 2018
2. Soft or Hard Focus with Textile and Furniture
Fabrics and textile can bring in boldness and texture to transform a space in minutes. Pillows with prints can express your style and mood. Drapery can inspire room design without having to change the furniture. However, if you want a quick transformation to your dining room chairs, why not select a fabric. Mix and match a traditional chair with a contemporary fabric, and now you have just created your own eclectic style. One last suggestion: area rugs are what I call a great anchor to any room design. It creates such detail and focal point centering to make your design complete.
3. Accessories
One of my favorite ways to transition a dining room for the holidays are Tablescapes, they are simple, but stunning ways to add a little something special to any bare space. You can select a collection or an assortment of things special to you. Tablescapes bring creative artwork to a room, whether it is your dining table, coffee table, nightstand or a bare core in a room. My favorite accessories to any room are fresh flowers and candles.
4. Lights
When it comes to details, we often overlook lighting, which is key to any design. Incorporate some new lamps or change out those lampshades. It is a quick way to transform your existing lamps into a new look, thereby creating a whole new look and different style. Choose a paint color for the base of a metallic texture, change the shades, and select wallpaper or fabric, will be sure to give you a dramatic gorgeous look not just for the holidays but for any day.
5. Wall Art
Finally: Wall Art. Wall Art speaks volume into a room, it tells a story about you in many ways. When designing on a budget, take your favorite quotes, print them, and place in a black frame. The words create energy and the black frame is your eyeliner to a complete makeover. If your budget allows, a great store to visit for ideas is Home Goods, they will surely not disappoint you with unlimited home goodies for the holiday. www.homegoods.com – Home Accents.

I am a Legend I Engage, Equip and Empower Others I Create Generational Legacies I Embrace Transformation I am Needed I understand my Destiny
That fact that God allows a couple to conceive and carry a child to birth is a miracle within itself, that means that God has done his part, not it’s the parents responsibility to do theirs. Psalm 139:16 says, “I saw you before you were born. Every day of your life was recorded in my book.” God has predestined the lives of our children, it becomes the parent’s responsibility to discover the destination. Notice I said discover! The destiny or purpose of a child’s life is ever unfolding, and to every child, there has been a God-given assignment and purpose. Communing with the Holy Spirit is a vital part of training up a child. It is the process that Proverbs 22:6 references, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” In John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” The very first instructions that God gives a parent is to train up their child in Christ, it is here where they will find all that they need, their way, truth, and the assignment for their life. Purpose begins and ends in Christ. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you.” Your child has an appointment with destiny. There is a reason for everything that they will go through in life; nothing is wasted. Every detail of
their life plays a role in that purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 say, “I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.” God has placed his plans (dreams) for your child deep within their heart and as parents, it is our responsibility to help them discover those dreams and cultivate them. As parents, we must always be observant to what our children are communicating to us, both verbal and non-verbal. Between those communications are hidden messages to their purpose. Remember that God has a great investment in your child, and the three of you together (The Holy Spirit, Parent, and Child) can do great things for His Glory and Kingdom. There is no greater joy than for a parent to see their child fulfilling their purpose on this earth. So the next time you see little Johnny banging on those drums or perhaps little Lisa singing a key, open your mind to the possibility that this could be their purpose peaking its head out, like the first blossom of a new flower. Therefore, Mom and Dad, remember it is your job to always be Parenting with Purpose. Article written by: Doris Reed

Hello Men of Xcellence, as we enter into the last quarter of 2017, I reflect back on last year and the things that God was doing. In 2016, it was a season of lack and lost. There were many things lost, many friends gone astray, but God has a way of decreasing in order to increase. This year by far has been a year of restoration. My ministry and mentoring program is spreading around the country and growing. Restoration to my mind, body, and soul, including restoration with my family and increased finances.
however, I just could not reach my full potential. It was when I joined Xcellence Inc., in February 2017, that I began to learn the true principles of leadership, success and community involvement. This is when I noticed a shift and began to see things turn around. Everything that I needed was on the inside, it just needed to be nurtured and cultivated with the right coach, in the right organization, along with the right platform to accelerate the things God had already promised and deposited.
I reflect back on some of the positive things that attributed to my new season; one that proved very fruitful was my change in associations/ affiliations. There were a couple of organizations and coaching groups that I had joined in the past;
It was hard to get past the many challenges and struggles, years of disappointments and failures until I met Dr. Angella Palmer-Banks (Dr. A). She was the leader that was able to speak to that area that I had broken, and stuck in for many

years. Her servant leadership style was a perfect fit for my dreams and me. A servant leaders is one who serves and leads at the same time. Dr.A has been that coach/leader that has helped so many people across the country, and I am forever thankful that God allowed our paths to cross. As Men of Xcellence National President, along with my organization, TDA‌Mentoring, my goal, and passion is to mentor, educate, and nurture both men and male youths to be positive productive citizens. It has been a joy to walk in this area of purpose to help so many, and now I have been given a larger platform to do so. Together, we will develop, empower, and promote men to become stronger leaders in their respective communities, calling them to a higher standard of leadership, spirituality, and fatherhood.
As Xcellence Inc. continues to grow around the country, I look forward to the advancement of our Men division and your support by joining our movement. In 2018, I will launch the Men of Xcellence 12/50 campaign. This campaign is to have 12 mighty men of valor from all 50 states here in America. As your leader, I believe that this will be great for our communities starting locally, nationally and then internationally. It has been an honor for me to be selected as Xcellence, Inc.’s 2017 Man of the Year. With this title comes great responsibility and I plan to forge ahead to fulfill those shoes. As I connect with you across the country, I would like for you to know that I am a man of faith, and one who values integrity. My personal message to everyone I meet is to be to be good and respectful to everyone. To serve each other with Love! Above everything,
