Exclusive Interview With

R&B “Diva Queen”

Sharon Brown

R & B diva, Sharon Brown, is such a big name when it comes to old school music. Her style and her grace is in a class by itself. When I finally reached out to Ms. Sharon Brown, I was so excited and nervous at the same time. When I was little, my parents would blast her song, I Specialize In Love over and over in the house. Now year's later, I'm conducting an interview with the diva herself. Check it out!                                                          GrinderZZ: Hello and welcome Ms. Sharon to GrinderZZ 24/7 Magazine &TV'’s studio. Can you please tell my audience a little about yourself? Sharon: Thank you for reaching out. It’s an honor to be here and to share my story of my love for music and creativity. I am living in New England and still very involved in my craft and the music industry.          GrinderZZ: Growing up in Harlem, New York, I know you were influenced by a lot of great musicians. At what age did you first show your love for music? Sharon: I discovered my passion for singing at the age of seven.  My dad was a musician, a drummer vocalist, and a dancer along with his brothers, Uncle Buddy and Uncle Jimmy. They had a band and I grew up listening to my daddy practicing his paradiddles. I was encouraged by my dad and family to sing along with the band, and I loved listening to the radio. Radio was huge back in my day, and my favorite song in the fifties was Mr. Lee by the BOBETTS, and of course I'd sing the song every time it came on the radio along with FRANKIE LYMON. GrinderZZ: Your #1 hit, I Specialize in Love was released in March 1982, and was a huge chart seller. What inspired you to make that song?                                               Sharon: Magical is how I’d describe the experience. 7

GrinderZZ: You're the daughter of famous drummer, William Brown, who played with the Isley Brothers, and the niece of songwriter/ musician, Phil Medley who co-wrote, Twist and Shout. How proud were they of you when you released your hit song, I Specialize In Love?                                                                                              Sharon: I’m sure my dad was extremely proud and supportive of my success, and as my uncles, heck, my entire family was affected by the success of I SPECIALIZE IN LOVE in 1982. GrinderZZ: Name three artist you would love to do a collaboration song with.                                             Sharon: I would Love to collaborate with MISSY ELLIOTT,NILE RODGERS, along with friend GROVER WASHINGTON JR, but also, I would love to add, SLY STONE, ÁNGELA WINBUSH , ROCHELL FERRELL, and CANNONBALL ADDERLY , Unfortunately Cannon and Grover have passed away, but I’m still so very blessed and favored to have been in the presence of both these phenomenal musicians. I know that more than three, but hey had to go there. There are so many great musicians I’d like to work alongside within a heartbeat.  GrinderZZ: What's the craziest thing a fan did to try to get your attention at a show?                                        Sharon: I was performing at Bonds, a huge NYC hot spot and it was a packed house. I was surrounded by security and suddenly an over emotional fan broke security lines and ran up to me, grabbed me around my waist, locked her arms round me screaming……. SHARON I LOVE YOU! All I could do was hug her back to stop security from tussling us both to the floor, and all she asked me for was a photo together.  GrinderZZ: If you never got into singing, what would have been your alternate career?            Sharon: A Lawyer, and by now I’d probably be a Judge Superior Court Certified and a mason sixth. 8

GrinderZZ: What advice could you give to someone who wants to break out into the music world?          Sharon: STAY INDEPENDENT! Do the work yourself, and when it’s marketable release it yourself. We are living in a different time and the tools available to artist are phenomenal and useful and will allow the artist musicians freedom creative freedom, which is most important to your craft. Remember yesterday, those before you, and how they fought for creative freedom. GrinderZZ: How can the fans reach out to you? Sharon: I can be reached by email:  sharonadabrown@aol.com Facebook,Twitter,YouTube,Instagram. GrinderZZ: Any last words/shout outs?                                  Sharon: LOVE YOURSELVES ❤️ Again Ms. Sharon, we at GrinderZZ 24/7 Magazine &TV thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the interview. God Bless, stay safe, and continue to grind.                  9

Branch III is an Executive Music Producer, Arranger, Producer, Song Writer. What can't this man do? If you're looking for someone that has great talent, then Oliver is your man. I was so lucky to have caught up with him to get this I interview. Let's hear what he has to say.                                                                                GrinderZZ: Good afternoon Oliver, and Welcome to the GrinderZZ studio. Please tell my audience a little about yourself?    Oliver: I was born in the Mississippi Delta, Tunica County, Mississippi, next door to the famous Barn owned by Legendary Harold "Hardface" Clanton - Tunica - Mississippi Blues Trail. I grew up and attended public school in South Memphis, Tennessee, living very near Stax Records, home of recording artists Issac Hays, Al Green, Otis Reddings, Sam & Dave, Carla & Rufus Thomas, The Bar Kays, Temprees, Al Jackson, Jr., Booker T & The MGs, Etta James, this list goes on and on. I attended Metropolitan / Minneapolis Community College in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with the likes of Jimmy "Jam" Harris, Terry Lewis, Morris Day, Jerome Benton and Prince Roger Nelson would often be around too. See:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_(musician) .                                                                  GrinderZZ: When did you first know (what age) you had a flair for music?  Oliver: My life started out with music playing inside my head. As far back as I can remember, around three or four years old, there was always music playing inside of my head; melodies and beautiful sounds.                                                              GrinderZZ: Growing up around different types of music, who were your biggest influences? Oliver: My biggest musical influence comes directly out of my own Brown's bloodline., the Legendary James Brown. I was doing the James Brown's dance and singing his songs before I knew how to say my ABCs or how to tie my own shoes. James Brown is my earliest and greatest musical influence; however, I love Otis Redding, Issac Hayes, Al Green, The Bar Kays, The Temprees , Booker T & The MGs, Carla & Rufus Thomas, Barrett Strong and anything Motown.                             12

GrinderZZ: I'm ecstatic to have this interview with you because you're soon to be my cousin. You're the cousin of The late James Brown, and a cousin of his son, Daryl Brown. When James was alive, did he ever give you any type of advice on the music industry? Oliver: When I was young James Brown often visited Memphis; however, as a small child, I was not allowed to be around adults. Although, I did notice James Brown would always be handing out a hand full of money, three or four hundred dollars at a time to his first cousin Sonny. When I was 9 years old I attended a James Brown Concert with my two friends Bonnie Freeman and Surg at the Mid South Coliseum in Memphis. I had to lie about my age because the age restrictions was 11 years old. After a magnificent concert, James Brown came outside to meet and greet with us; nonetheless, I was too shy to talk to him. He asked me about his Aunt Lula Brown Branch. He told me I should learn how to talk when people are taking to me. He also visited us when we lived at 189 West Dison Street in South Memphis. It caused a lot of confusion because when the home owner learned my family knew James Brown, she insisted on raising our rent. This unwarranted rent increase forced my mother to move. As a young child until I was approximately 14 years old James Brown, would tell me he was my daddy; however, his first cousin Sonny  said he was my cousin.                                                            GrinderZZ: Since you've been doing music, have you worked with any celebrities you can speak about?

An Interview With

I first heard this guy back in 2015 via Facebook. He uploaded a video of himself singing and Facebook went wild. 5 years later, Andres is still going strong with his music career. Let's talk with him and see what's next for this talented young man. {GrinderZZ} Hey Andres, welcome to GrinderZZ. Please tell my audience a little about yourself. {Andres} Hey GrinderZZ!! First, let me say, I’m more than honored to have this interview with y’all. I’ve always wanted to spark enough interest for someone to ask me questions about me, haha! Thank you! Now to answer the question, I think it’s simple, I’m a country boy with big city dreams! No cliches there! Haha! {GrinderZZ} You were born in Atmore Al. Were there any influence in the area when it came to music? {Andres} The biggest influence in my entire life is my great grandmother, affectionately known as, “Grand Betty”. {GrinderZZ} So you told us you're an Army brat, who was raised in Tennessee. At what age did you start singing? {Andres} Like anyone, I’ve sang in the shower my entire life. Professionally, however, 2016 after I released my debut single, “Drinkin’”. {GrinderZZ} Have you done any type of shows anywhere? {Andres} Yes, of course. However, my favorites would have to be Virginia Beach’s AFRICAN FESTIVAL 2017, and The 5th Annual Black Men Rock Image Awards. No one will know until now, but I cried after both of those performances.

25

{GrinderZZ} You currently have 2 songs out. Can you tell us about them? {Andres} I have two singles out currently. Drinkin, circa 2016, was a different type of writing than 25 Feet from my self-titled, debut EP, “DRE: The Prelude” which released in June. Drinkin’ was written from a more personal place. The lyrics were about two relationships I’d been in, one that led me to drinking. On the other hand, 25 Feet, along with “The Prelude” as a whole, is more of a grimy, smack talking, “I’m feeling myself” type of track (in which the title seems kind of perfect for the times we’re living) and is kind of how I’m really feeling these days in real life. {GrinderZZ} Name 3 artist you would love to work with? {Andres} TOP 3, that’s easy! King Bey, King Breezy, and Drako! {GrinderZZ} Do you have any upcoming project's you can talk about? {Andres} There will definitely be videos too, so keep your eyes open for! {GrinderZZ} What advice would you give to someone that's starting out in the music industry? {Andres} Listen, everybody has a dream! “Believe it can happen, believe it’s supposed to happen, and then make it happen by any means necessary.” {GrinderZZ} How can your fans reach out to you? {Andres}My dreamers can reach me on IG, Twitter, and Facebook @Andresdejour. {GrinderZZ} Any last words/ shout outs? {Andres} My last words are THANK YOU again for even wanting to interview me. I more than flattered, I’m grateful! It's been a pleasure Andres! Please stay in touch with us. Keep grinding and keep shining. 26

An Exclusive Interview With

Author RASHAD Tarpley Rashad, thank you for stopping by and chatting with us. Please tell my audience a little about yourself? Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to talk with you first of all!! To those that may have never ever heard of me my name is Rashad and I am a father of two beautiful young ladies, Sky and Raven. I am a mentor and community activist but now I am also AN AUTHOR!!

GrinderZZ: You were born in Florida, but moved to Virginia with your family. At what age did you guys leave to head to Virginia? Rashad: I moved up here when I was eight years old, but stayed permanently when I turned twelve. GrinderZZ: I watched you matured over the years into a fine young man. I remember when I was your supervisor at Circuit City and all the fun we use to have with the customer's, and now you're an author. When did you decide to write this book with your two daughters? Rashad: First off, those were some great times we had back in the day! But honestly this was something that I always wanted to do. I found that I had a gift for writing at the age of 10 and I wrote several poems and short stories. But I always knew that I wanted to write something meaningful one day and it just so happened that the most meaningful thing in my life is my children. GrinderZZ: How is it being a father? Rashad: Being a father is so rewarding and yet so difficult at times. Listen raising one child is challenging but now I’m raising two and they’re girls at that! But honestly I would trade 27

this for anything in the word. You don’t know the feeling you get when you have these 2 little girls excited to see you when you pick them up from school or smile at you when you wake them up in the morning. Being a father is so dope. GrinderZZ: Will your book be a series of books written off from the 1st book? Rashad: Oh absolutely! The Adventures of Sky and Raven will be a series. I want to make The Adventures of Sky and Raven a household name one day. GrinderZZ: You are also a Pastor, and you mentor young teens who may be in need of some extra love and guidance. When did you first started your quest in lending them a helping hand? Rashad: The desire to help was something that was always inside of me. Coming from a small Island (Key West) I would go to the beach and see a lot and I would see homeless people sitting or sleeping on the beach. My heart would always go out to them because I couldn’t understand why they never had a home or why they never had anything to eat. And as I got older and began to understand a lot more about certain issues, so my passion for helping others just grew. I live by the concept that “I could be you” because in all seriousness, we are one paycheck away from poverty, one paycheck away from losing everything. So if I can lend a hand to help those in need, why not? I may not have the money I would like to have but I have resources that can help you and get you to where you need to be. So as long as I have breath in my body, I am always going to lend a helping hand to anyone that may need it GrinderZZ: I hear you're engaged. Tell us a little about your beautiful fian28

cé’s name is Tiffany and we met at my church. She’s a Master Hair Stylist and a beautiful soul inside and out. She is very strong minded and a wonderful support system. This may sound corny but she molded me into the man I am today. GrinderZZ: What advice can you give to someone who may be want to start writing their first book? Rashad: First thing is, find a publisher who understands your vision. Don’t feel pressured to sign with someone just because you may make a lot of money on the back end. Do what you enjoy and get with someone that will allow you to have creative freedom over your writing. GrinderZZ: How can people get in touch with you? Rashad: Feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @tattooedpreacher_ or Twitter @tattooedpreacher. If you are a formal person like myself then Facebook is always good and my name is Rashad A. Tarpley on there. GrinderZZ: Any last words/shout outs? Rashad: Never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You never know what God has in store for you. All you have to do is just take that first step because that’s all it takes. Take that first step into something new and experience something that you always wanted to try. Shout out to my beautiful fiancé Tiffany. Please go follow her because she is absolutely amazing when it comes to hair transformation @sheariously_gifted. Shout out to my big sister Angie who always shows love to me. And lastly to my babies Sky and Raven! Thank you for making me a better father every day and thank you for always loving me. I love you girls Rashad, it's been a pleasure speaking with you. Keep grinding and keep shining. God Bless.

To be an artist in today's society, you really have to have a gimmick. Everyone is competing to be that head honcho, and one thing's for sure......you better have something great that will keep the crowd moving. When we found Jalen Jamison, we knew he fit the profile we were searching for. Jalen, aka Jdubbz, is an up and coming rap artist that has everyone's attention on the east coast. Let's chat with Jdubbz and see what makes him tick.  GrinderZZ: What's up Jdubbz, and welcome to the GrinderZZ 24/7 studio. Please tell my audience a little about yourself? Jdubbz: I am, Jalen (Jdubbz) Jamison. I am the founder of an independent record label based out of White Plains, New York (Inner Circle,LLC).My goal is to be a leading force in this new age that both the entertainment industry, and world are going into. I have ideas further than music, such as: my clothing line (Lowlyfe™), men's fragrance, and even an alcoholic beverage. The music industry has changed a lot. It’s a very narrow market now, and unless you have the proper connections, or an ample supply of resources to get you to those connections there's a very slim chance of you even getting a look.  Talent alone doesn't win the competition anymore; and, that's a fact. You have to be able to market yourself 30

and your music as you would market any other product, and that's what I plan to do. Giving up is not a part of my mindset. I currently have 2 digital distribution deals: one, through of Sony Music's minor subsidiaries (Record Union), as well as another distribution deal with an independent NY based record label (Bentley Records); but, I am currently looking to work directly with a major entity

GrinderZZ: You hail from one of the best places in the world...New York City. Tell us about a little Jalen growing up in the big city. Jdubbz: I actually grew up 30 miles outside of NYC. I grew up in; and, currently reside in White Plains, NY. It’s a medium sized suburban metropolitan area in Westchester County. There have been other Westchester natives that were successful in their endeavors with the music industry. A couple examples are: DMX (Mount Vernon) & The LOX (Yonkers). There is no one that I know of from White Plains to accomplish this feat; but, I plan on being the first. GrinderZZ: Being that you're from the new generation of rap music, tell me your aspects on the culture of hip hop, and how some of the music from the pioneer's influenced you to become a rapper.  Jdubbz: I’ve been making all kind of music since I was a child because I grew up in a very musically rich environment. There are key individuals that have helped to shape my path as an artist; and, help me find a niche for my sound. Some of these individuals include; but, are not limited to: Juicy J, Young Sizzle, Future, Partynextdoor, Wiz Khalifa & Young Thug. GrinderZZ: Jdubbz, you're the founder of the independent record label, Inner Circle, LLC out here in White Plains, New York. Do you currently have other artists on with you right now?  Jdubbz: At the present, I do not have any other artists on my roster. I previously had three artists signed in White Plains, NY & one in Miami, FL. All of them quit making music before I signed with Record Union. The moral of the story… never give up! When I begin adding talent to my roster, I’ll start with producers; because, all artists need a reliable production team that can provide high quality beats that also align with the type of music they’re looking to create. 31

GrinderZZ: You also mentioned, too, that you have a clothing line called Lowlyfe, and you also want to branch out with your own fragrance and alcohol beverages. How is that adventure coming along?  Jdubbz: At the present, my primary focus is my music. I have already introduced my clothing line & you can purchase products directly from my physical inventory; or, place an order at my online store shop.spreadshirt.com/lowlyfe. As far as the alcoholic beverage, and men’s fragrance – those are projects dated for later in my career. GrinderZZ: You also mentioned to me that you already have 2 distributions, 1 through Sony music minor subsidiaries, (Record Union) and the NYC independent record label, Bentley Record's. Can you elaborate a little about it?   Jdubbz: I linked with Record Union for my debut album “Whatever It Takes” which was released Dec 18th 2016. The release was well received; and, lead to my hit song “Rodeo” claiming the #6 spot on the Upcoming100 chart. After a few solo releases on Soundcloud, I was contacted by Bentley Records, with whom I inked my deal with in the Summer of 2017. GrinderZZ: Name 3 old school artist that you would love to collaborate with, and why?          Jdubbz: I guess it depends who you consider “old school” haha. J Dilla, Craig Mack, & Nas . J Dilla has great boom bap beats; and, I love to flex my lyricism when I get a chance to. I have unreleased songs to Dilla tracks, like: “Life” & “Flowers”. I grew up listening to a plethora of music; but, one of the songs that was most memorable to me was Craig Mack’s “Flava In Ya Ear”. My dad used to spin that record all of the time. Lyrically, Nas

is one of the people I look up to most. The way that hes able to put words together; and, explain things so smoothly make for easy listening. While painting a vivid picture of it all in your mind’s eye.                                GrinderZZ: What advice would you give somebody who wanted to break out in the music industry like yourself?   Jdubbz: I would advise them to always trust; and, believe in themselves regardless of what’s going on. I am a fervent believer in the law of attraction; so, in my opinion – you should avoid negative comments & thought patterns. That type of behavior leads to negative outcomes. My next tip would be to remain consistent. It’s very easy to forget about people very quickly especially in today’s times. Always make sure to take your time; and, present your best material. Too many artists rush their projects (I’ve done it before); and, end up with a product that is of lower quality than it could have been if the proper time had been invested. Don’t sign anything without reading; and, don’t agree to anything without paperwork – especially if you have to pay for it. Build a team that believe in you as much as you believe in yourself. You have to surround yourself with similar energies; and, like minded individuals. Always handle your business. Good business relationships are very important in this industry.                                                                       GrinderZZ: How can people reach out to you?   Jdubbz: You can follow me on Instagram: Therealjdubbz Twitter: Iamjdubbz Faceb ook: Iamjdubbz or on my website InnerCircleRecords.com Snapchat: Iamjdubbz. Game with me on Xbox Live: Iamjdubbz                              GrinderZZ: Any last words/shoutouts?    Jdubbz: Catch me on tour this Spring with MorBookings Mar. 5th, & Mar 7th: New Jersey Mar. 6th: Washington, DC Mar 8th: Connecticut Mar. 9th: Philadelphia, PA  Jdubbz, thank you so much for your time and support. Please keep us posted on your endeavors.  32

Ladybug’s personable demeanor shines; from casual conversations with friends and family to networking with positive entrepreneurs and possible business associates, she is sure to leave a lasting impression. Ladybug took advantage of her personality and decided to take her love of media to the forefront. Since her first media opportunity in 2012, Ladybug was immediately grabbing audience attention and recognition from outside media outlets. Ladybug’s media experiences include online radio, audio engineering, television, magazine, print, and personal styling. Ladybug has expanded her credentials by obtaining her cosmetology license in New York State in 2015. She took her experiences with hair, makeup, and the media to start her own business named Ladybug Beauty. Ladybug plans to continue to work hard to solidify herself in her respective industries and give future generations a female figure that they can find confidence and inspiration in. In recent years, Ladybug has honed her craft in beauty to build her platform based on education and technique. She realized that the influx of “self-taught” influencers in the beauty industry are leaving clients confused and with less money. Ladybug feels that consumers are purchasing and executing beauty regimens based on an influencer’s demonstration and not their own personal skin care needs and desires. That ultimately leaves consumers in a habit of buying and using products that ends up not even being utilized and still searching for a product primarily recommended incorrectly .She feels with her extensive knowledge in beauty education and techniques can help bring clarity in an industry that has been watered-down by social media and the internet. Ladybug is building a platform that allows consumers to be introduced to the beauty industry confidently and informatively to continue learning their own skin and enhance their own individual beauty. 33

Blog LOOKING FOR ANSWERS? by

Kim Fannin

Seriously, all you're gonna find there is lint & it may not smell that good either. Want to know The Meaning of Life? Look in a mirror. There's no need to climb a mountain hunting for that little man with scraggly hair wearing a white nightgown He's not there. (Well, I don't think so, anyway. I've never actually climbed that mountain) A Fortune Teller will give you answers - but they may not be for you. Could be they're for a person in another room. I'm sure they are meant for somebody. Don't count too much on the lines on your palm, either. Except maybe the deep ones that can hold leftover crumbs of cake. Those you can use! Google is always a good place to start, though. Or you can ask your Mom. You might find the answer in music or in the dandelion blowing in the wind. Just don't worry so much. The answers will probably come to You, when you least expect them. Usually, they will wake your brain around 3 a.m. - you'll wake up, think about it, go back to sleep & not remember it in the morning. But - they Did come to you.

Introducing

Kellee Williams They always say, you meet people for two different reasons. Some are there to teach you a lesson, and some are there forever. This woman right here I feel God has brought into my life forever. Ms. Kellee Williams was actually a customer of mine at the resort, and once we started talking, she revealed to me that she was an author, so you know she had me with open ears. This fantastic phenomenal woman also has her own sweet treats company. Let's go into the lab and hear what she has to say. GrinderZZ: Thank you so much Kellee for taking the time to chat it up with us. Please tell my audience something about you. Kellee: Hello. My name is Kellee. I'm 53 years old, a mother, grandmother, and a wife. I love God. I'm a leader in my church (Xceleration the Down 2Earth Church) GrinderZZ: You were born in Altadena California. How was it living in that area? Kellee: I was raised in Altadena with my parents, and I had an awesome upbringing. I ran track and played basketball. GrinderZZ: When did you first thought about becoming an author? Kellee: After graduating from John Muir High School in '84 (honor roll student), I went to University of Arkansas for Journalism. I've always loved to write since age 14. I would write poetry and then went on to win oratorical contests. I knew I'd write a book one day. I didn't know there would be two. I continued on, and now I’m currently working on my 3rd one. Once that’s completed, I would love to write a fourth book using the Psalm and the Bible to write a devotional in poetry form. GrinderZZ: You were at the University of Arkansas, and in 1985 you got your degree in journalism. How did you feel at that very moment? Kellee: I have also graduated from Harvest Bible University with my AA in Theology. I will be returning in August for my BA. I'm excited! 35

GrinderZZ: You also have your very own pasty and treats company called Kelle's Kmakes and Kookies. What type of cookies and cakes do you make? Kellee: Yes, I also love to bake. God blessed me with a gift to do so. Learning "Down South" recipes for cakes, cookies, and cobblers from my mother, I took it and started my own business. "Kellee's Kakes and Kookies," in 2011. A lot of the money was used to publish my book. GrinderZZ: Any last words/shout outs? Kellee: I hope by reading my books, someone is uplifted n encouraged n strengthened! GrinderZZ Interviews With Lega-C

GrinderZZ: Thank you so much for allowing us to interview with you. Please tell our audience a little about who you are. Lega-C: My name is Lega-C. I was born in the Bronx NYC, and I was given my first break into the business by the Devastating Tito of the legendary group the Fearless Four. GrinderZZ: What was it like growing up in the Bronx? Lega-C: Growing up in the Bronx in the mid-eighties, was a great time and experience. Hip hop had a heavy influence over everything as it was still only in its teenage stages. As far as artists that influenced me, I grew up idolizing and looking up to many of the artists who I felt were prolific writers, such as Stevie wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, and KRS-ONE just 2 name a few. GrinderZZ: At what age did you discover that you were musically inclined? Lega-C: Music was always a part of my life since I was born. I grew up in a very musical household. My father was a singer in a band in the 70’s and my mother was always a music lover of all kinds. As far as creating music, I would say I was probably about 10 years old when I wrote/created my very first song. GrinderZZ: Have you worked with any other artists? Lega-C: I have been bless 2 wear many hats in this business, besides being an artist and creating original content I am also a writer for others as well , to answer your question in short Yes: I have had the honor & privilege to work with some very well-known artists/producers/ writers throughout my career both as an artist and as a writer : (Chris Rivers the son of the late legend Big Pun, Rustee Juxx of Duck down records, Mellow Man Ace,(Brother of Cypress hill’s Sen Dawg) K7, Tanto Metro & Devonte & The Mad Stuntman are just a few that come to mind. 40

GrinderZZ: Who ar e some of your favor ite artists? Lega-C:

Hmmthr ee of my favor ite all-time

Hip-hop artists I would have loved to work with?? That is so hard to answer with just 3 names seeing as there are so many artists, I am a fan of and have been influenced by so: I’m going to give u 3 still here with us to-

day, and three no longer with us because just three artists is too hard to narrow down (lol) Alive: I would say Snoop Jadakiss and Eminem although there are so many more I could think of & no longer with us: I would say (Biggie/ 2 Pac & Big Pun ) Big L & Nate Dogg would round out my top 5. GrinderZZ: Do you have any upcoming pr ojects? Lega-C: I am actually a few days away fr om releasing a brand new project entitled F.I.N.O. which stands for Failure Is Not an Option it will be released on all platforms on May 8th God willing it consists of approximately 12 brand new original tracks written by myself and all produced by my producer and partner

Angel

(DJ SPEED) Colon. GrinderZZ: What advice would you give to those who are interested in getting into the industry? Lega-C: If I had to give any advice to someone trying to break into this industry right now I

would probably say be patient /believe in yourself even when it seems no one else does/ stay the course (u only fail when you quit or give up) and work on perfecting your craft everyday now is an amazing time to be an artist of any kind. 41

An Interview With

Paris Josef Aka Baby Brown When I first saw this young man on Facebook performing some of the greatest hits, singer James Brown has performed, I had to reach out to him and asked if I can get an interview. Paris, aka Lil Brown has been performing....touring, and getting those exclusive interviews on radio shows and TV outlets. Let's check him out! GrinderZZ: Paris, welcome to the GrinderZZ studio. Please tell my audience a little about yourself. Paris: Hi my name is Paris Josef Aka Baby Brown. I am New Orleans own hardest working little man in show business. The Godson of Soul, Prince of Pop, and the Baby of Funk. I am a 7yr old entertainer that has found a way to marry James Brown’s groove with Michael Jackson’s smooth, put them together and it makes me “Baby Brown.” GrinderZZ: At what age did you start singing and dancing? Paris: Well when I was 2 yrs. old my mom brought me to see the James Brown “Get on up” movie and I started dancing in the aisles. Then I watched the movie once it came to television. Also, I watched all of James brown’s YouTube videos of the real James Brown realizing Chadwick Boseman did a great job but he ain’t no James Brown. Man I saw his legs and was speechless. I had to learn how to do it myself. GrinderZZ: Did your parents feel right off the bat that you had the knack of a performer? Paris: My mom tells me stories of how she has been told that I was going to be a special baby by strangers who would just see out while she was pregnant with me. She says she felt like that was odd and then when I came into the world before I starting walking people would crowd around her baby which caused her to not bring me out much. Then once I started dancing and dressing people started following me and recording me in grocery stores and asking me for my autograph. Now that’s when I realized at that moment “momma I want the world to see my James Brown legs.” GrinderZZ: What was it about James Brown that made you started exclusively performing all of his songs, and going by the name, Lil Brown? Paris: Well like I said earlier, Man I saw his legs and was speechless. I had to learn how to do it. Then I watched an interview he did where he explained that he liked for the girls to feel sorry for him so he did the song “Please Please” and well I kind of like the girls to feel sorry for me too so that’s one of my favorite songs of Mr. Brown. 43

GrinderZZ: Name 3 performer's, (Living and deceased) you would love to work with? Paris: I would like to collaborate with Mr. Daryl Brown of course. But my dream is to work with Mr. Morris Day (The bird Man) he is just cool I like his style. Now I would love to have Mr. Jimmie Jam and Terry Lewis help me co-write this remake of James Brown “Popcorn” song. I have already written the song but I’m sure they can help me make that song a hit you know what I’m saying. We can add James Brown’s “this is a hit” to the intro. Also, Mr. Rodney Jenkins, also known as Dark child; he worked with Michael Jackson. GrinderZZ: How many hours do you have to practice in getting those slick James Brown dance moves? Paris: Well it use to take me a few hours a day and now I can get the steps in one take. GrinderZZ: I know you have to be the talk in town and in your school. Do the kid's get intimidated by you when they find out you're part of the competition in any of the talent shows? Paris: I am definitely the talk of the Town at school of course they all have seen me on tv and Facebook, but I’m actually too young for the talent shows at my school. I have to be in the 5th grade to enter the talent show. So I don’t know about the intimidation part yet. GrinderZZ: Where do you see yourself in 5 years with your career? Paris: Five years from now I see myself collaborating with a few fire producers creating some hits and taking over the stage on a larger platform. I want to tour with some major hitters like the Isley Brothers or Charlie Wilson. “You know add a little bit mo to the show” 44

GrinderZZ: Do you have any tour dates or anything scheduled in the next coming months, going into 2021? Paris: I had a show booked at the house of blues in April, but due to corona it got canceled. So I created a corona song and did a video. Also I’m learning how to TikTok and create my own videos and learning how to edit and create animation. However I am hoping to get back on stage soon. GrinderZZ: What advice could you give someone who wants to break out into the entertainment business? Paris: I would say believe in yourself and don’t let no one tell you that you can’t do anything. Make sure you have someone you trust to take care of all of your business until your old enough to do it yourself. GrinderZZ: How can people reach out to you? Paris: Facebook: Paris Josef aka Baby Brown Instagram: Paris Josef aka Baby Brown YouTube: Paris Josef aka Baby Brown GrinderZZ: Any last words of shout-outs you would like to give at this present time? Paris: One last thing even though I’m an entertainer I am also a straight A student. “James Brown would say “don’t let nobody take care of your business better than you” And with a great education I can do just that. 45
