A Special Interview With

Lou Rawls Jr.

When you hear the words, "YOU'LL NEVER FIND, ANOTHER LOVE LIKE MINE", the first thing that should come to mind is, the talented lyrics of Lou Rawls. Even with his departure from earth, his spirit and his music still lives on. I am so happy to have caught up with his son, Producer/executive/actor, Lou Rawls Jr. Mr. Lou was so gracious to answer my call from his busy schedule to have a one on one sit down.                        GrinderZZ: Hey Mr. Lou! Thank you for hanging with me today inside the GrinderZZ studio. Can you please tell my audience a little about yourself?          Lou: Hello! First, thank you for having me in your great publication. I’m very fortunate to be healthy in these crazy times of the Corona 19 virus, and in the age of Trump, (which is a whole other subject) and to anyone who has lost a friend and or family member to this pandemic, I’m so sorry. GrinderZZ: Your father was a legend, the great Lou Rawls. How was it like having him as your dad when you realized who he was in the entertainment industry?                                               Lou: It was great, but like all families, we had our disagreements at times. I really didn’t know how famous he was until I went on the road with him. He was gone a lot of the time while I was growing up, but we did have quality times together. GrinderZZ: I see you went a different direction from your father's and started doing films. How proud was he of you?                                                                      Lou: Actually, I was in a band with Marvin Gaye’s son and we were signed to Capital Records, but at that time, Capital had dissolved its black/urban division and then the band split up before we could get another deal. My father was very proud of me, and the fact I did it on my own without coming to him for help. GrinderZZ: Growing up, did you ever go out on the road with your father?                                                           Lou: Yeah, it was incredible! One time we did 36 one nighters in 41 days, and I had to be called Eyes by everyone who worked for my father. My dad’s fan base was very broad. Black, White, Hispanics, Asian and Indian people. He actually opened several Native American casinos and 5 hotels in Las Vegas. People would follow me, and sometimes it was overwhelming and difficult to understand how his music affected people, and the lengths they would go to reach him. After You’ll never find came out, he was

Lou Rawls Jr. (continued……)

one of the biggest stars in the world! Natalie Cole, Jay Leno, The Pointer Sisters, Arsenio Hall, and Tina Turner were all of my father’s opening acts. GrinderZZ: You did a couple of great movies, Ethyrea : Code of the Brethren, Love is a Hurtin Thing, and Double Tap in 2011. Are you currently working on anything you could speak about with my audience?                                                                       Lou: I’m producing films, working on music, and I’m an ambassador for a great company. The company is Deberger & Bears out of Switzerland, and they make and sell incredible time pieces, and also selling Masterworks from the most famous and well known painters in the world  Picasso, Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, the most beautiful and expensive, Pink, Blue, and yellow Diamonds and precious stones in the world. The Covid virus, like everything else, has affected all of these industries. Hopefully in the near future, things will get back to normal, so I’m very excited about the future. GrinderZZ: Tell us, how's things are going with the, Lou Rawls Foundation?                                                        Lou: The foundation right now is dormant and restructuring the board of directors, but we’ll be back up and running in the very near future, and very much looking forward to getting back to helping the community at large. GrinderZZ: With Hollywood and the entire world being lockdown because of the pandemic, Covid 19, how have you been keeping busy?                                    Lou: I’ve gotten into the world of Gaming and Technologies. V R. Holograms, a company called Weisman worldwide Inc. This pandemic has really affected all facets of business, and

Lou Rawls Jr. (continued……) the lives of everyone. I’ve been putting together a list of contacts and connections to reach out to with these new opportunities. I’ve been blessed. When this pandemic allows the world to find some sort of normalcy and people can get back to doing things again, I’ll be really busy. GrinderZZ: What advice could you give to someone who maybe thinking about getting into the music or movie industry?                                                            Lou: Learn the business, it’s called Show Business for a reason! it’s critical and crucial to know what you’re getting into, especially now with all the different streaming platforms, and social media outlets that are available. The entertainment industry is a totally different animal than it used to be. GrinderZZ: Name 3 celebrities you would love to collaborate on a project with.                                     Lou: Hmmm, that’s an interesting question. For music, it would be Pharrell, Al Pacino for Films, and Bill Gates. GrinderZZ: How can the fans reach out to you?                     Lou: I’m on all the social media platforms. Facebook ,Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, all under Lou Rawls jr. Mr. Lou Rawls Jr., it's been a pleasure talking with you. Please don't be a stranger. May God continue sending blessings your way.

With everything that's been going on this year, I'm so thrilled to see a comeback with old school hip hop music. Mc Silver Fox, aka, Reginald Hobdy is one of the men who's bringing back the beat. Let's talk to Silver FOX. GrinderZZ: What's up Mc Silver Fox! Thank you, and welcome to GrinderZZ. Please tell my audience a little about yourself. Silver Fox: Peace Thank you for having me at your studio. I am Mc Silver Fox. I’m From Harlem New York, and I was born, Reginald Hobdy Jr. I’m the eldest of seven children. I grew up in General Grant Houses On 125th Street and Amsterdam Ave. that’s actually four blocks from the Legendary Apollo Theater. GrinderZZ: At what age did you first get into music? Silver Fox: I really got into music at the age of eight. In our community Center, there was an instructor named Kim Wong who taught Steel Drums or the Pan Drum. I studied with him for years. When I was in Junior high school, I auditioned, and received a scholarship to Manhattan School Of music. There I learned theory, sight singing, and ear training. I studied percussion because the steel drum was not an instrument thought in Manhattan School of Music. GrinderZZ: You were a part of the group, The Fantasy Three. Who came up with the name? Silver Fox: The name Fantasy Three was Charlie Rock‘s Idea. I really wanted a name that signified us being a group to recon with. In Harlem, we were associated With The Treacherous Three, and The Fearless Four. Devastating Tito of the Fearless Four was instrumental in getting Fantasy Three together. Mc Silver Fox was already established as a Solo Mc since the 70s. Fantasy Three formed in 1983.

GrinderZZ: Back in the day, you were battling at parties, and the clubs. Were any of those battles with anyone we may be familiar with? Silver Fox: I as a solo Artist Mc Silver Fox, I battled Everybody, That’s how I gained my reputation as a formidable adversary. My Partner Kev Ski, (Kevin Sheppard) from Grant houses, took me to every block party and PAL (Police Athletic League) parties. Most notable are battles with Kool G Rap at a Club called Joe Grants. I tried to battle Kool Moe D, however he cleverly avoided me. Kool Moe D was the best in Harlem. I felt if I battled him, win or lose, it would be notable. I have lots of respect for him. I battled LL Cool J constantly in 1983 he hung out with me for a whole summer before he was signed to death jam. LL Cool J credits Mc Silver Fox as his teacher. Mc Silver Fox also deeply Influenced Kool G Rap. GrinderZZ: You joined the group, L.O.D Posse In 1985, then you were down with the All Powerful Jam Masters in 1986, and then the Enterprise in 1988. Do you still stay in contact with any of the members from any of these groups? Silver Fox: I, most definitely, do stay in touch. The L.O.D. (Legion of Doom) Posse Consisted of DJ Soul, Mc Fresh G, Stephon Evans, and Mc Silver Fox. Stephon Evans recently did a track for me. I made Back In The Daze To it. The All Powerful Jam Masters was a massive group a bunch of dancers, Twi DJs and Mc Silver Fox as the MC. Da Enterprise was founded by Shay Drastic. They were already established with groups like Self Contained, and Trey Deep. Solo MCs like Big D, Raze, Cheeb Wu, D Bear, and my Dude Big Doc. Big Doc was the one that introduced me to Shay Drastic.

GrinderZZ: You also created, the Made Millennium album, 1999-2000. Back then, were you doing any shows with the new material you’re creating? Silver Fox: The New Millennium Album was a joint project with Big Doc, and Mc Silver Fox, under DA Enterprise label, produced, mixed, and mastered by Shay Drastic. There is a Doc side, and a Fox side. We did numerous shows, based in Atlantic City, and New Jersey. We covered the whole Tri-State area. Jersey, Philadelphia and New York. We self distributed our tapes and CDs. Hustle hustle lol. Our music was also played down south. I shipped a bunch to Savannah Georgia. There was a great CD and Cassette market down south. GrinderZZ: You now reside in Brooklyn, where you teamed up with one of the hottest music producers, Mr. Angel Speed Colon, and you released a single called, Wheels Fall Off under Light Speed Music. How is it working with Mr. Colon in the studio? Silver Fox: My residence is in constant flux. I have a residence in New Jersey, and back in Harlem. I’m also a San Diego CA resident. As to your Question: working With Angel Speed Colon is like working with family. DJ Speed is consistently coming up with new and hot music. Angel also makes sure that nothing but the best comes from LiteSpeed Music. His ear is tuned in, and if he hears something he will say *Nah Fox let’s do it again* so he’s like a coach, a creator, an engineer, a businessman, and I am proud to say A good friend. GrinderZZ: You also made the Resurrection Album under your own thing, Silver Fox Music. Are you also helping other artists new and old with music? Silver Fox: I wanted to Try putting music out under my own brand Silverfoxmusicus. I feel that I have to learn the business before I could help anyone else with this business of music. The way music is done and even distributed is ever changing. Gone are the compact disks, welcome the digital age. I do help and mentor new artist. I have Nephews J.A.H.G., and ETRYDE, also KING G, who have acclimated to the digital age. I have grand children (yes grandchildren) doing music and videos. Due to the Covid era, my hip hop classic classes are suspended; however, I’m in the process of creating interactive video chat classes.

GrinderZZ: What advice would you give someone who is trying their feet into the music? Silver Fox: My Advice is LEARN THE BUSINESS!! Many new artist are so hungry to get out there, they take a big L. Record companies will use you up and spit you out. Also, remember you can do it with the proper tools, and an investment in yourself. GrinderZZ: How can my audience reach out to you? Silver Fox: Mc Silver Fox is easily accessible. Just google Silverfoxmusicus for all of my page links, music, etc. Mc Silver Fox is on all digital outlets. If I list all my pages, it will take another page lol. Follow me on Twitter@Silverfox125 Facebook Reginald Silver Fox Hobdy Youtube@silverfox125 GrinderZZ: Any last words/shout outs? Silver Fox: A big shot out to Angel Speed Colon, my dude Lega Cee, Freddy B, Peso Stephon Evans, Shay Drastic. My dude in California JAYTON THA MAC along with CHARLIE MANSON, BluPro, Tracey Tan Parker for holding it down with me, and my security specialist, Benjamin Muhammad for keeping me safe and secure. Drea Nicole

R&B singer, Drea Nicole is the hottest singer that's making her way to stardom. This superstar was born and raised in Brooklyn. I also found out that she also attended my Alma mater, Sheepshead Bay high school. GrinderZZ 24/7 Magazine &TV welcomes, Drea Nicole. GrinderZZ: Hey Drea Nicole, welcome to the GrinderZZ studio. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Please tell my audience a little about yourself? Drea: Hello everyone I am Drea Nicole singer/songwriter/actress/influencer and entrepreneur. As a singer/songwriter, I sing R&B soul and is regularly compared to Mary J. Blige. Under A Train Entertainment, I currently have an album called "Musical Therapy" and it is streaming on all streaming sites, so if you put my name and the album title in the search it should come right up, or you can simply go to my website www.dreanicolenyc.com to purchase and download. As an actress I am currently in season 2 of the award-winning web series called Foster Sin where I play a Social Worker in New York City that is seeing all over. You go to their site and use code DREA50 you will get 50% off your entire order. I am also a hair model for Elegantly Carol, which is a wig line created by Nicki Minaj mother Carol Maraj. As an entrepreneur, I have launched my own beauty business called Pink Fiya Beauty where I sell strip eyelashes and beauty services such as eyelash extensions, non invasive Brazillian butt lifts, cellulite treatments, and yoni steaming. I started Pink Fiya because as a woman I know we are more confident when we feel good and looking good definitely makes us feel good. Eventually I want to branch out and have other services for women that are not beauty based but helpful to women like support groups and resources that make our lives better and easier. GrinderZZ: You were born and raised in Brooklyn New York just like myself, and crazy enough, we attended the same high school. What was it like for you growing up in Brooklyn? Drea: Well, I grew up in Sheepshead Bay and when I was younger the

neighborhood was dominantly caucasian. I believe this was a gift and a

curse but it made me tougher in ways and opened my eyes to things that may just be seen on tv to some. I had friends whose parents didn't want me around them because of my skin, I have been called the "N" word on numerous occasions. I can remember walking past the swastika symbol painted on mailboxes and walls, etc. On the flip side, it showed me at an early age that this way of thinking exists so I am not naive to it and it showed me that not all caucasians thought this way, so I guess I have seen the good, bad and ugly. But I love my city Brooklyn, there is so much culture and life and no matter where I move in life, if you ask me where I am from, I will always say Brooklyn. GrinderZZ: When did you first catch the singing bug? Drea: My first bug was writing, I used to keep a journal which turned into writing poetry which turned into writing songs. I would take songs that I heard on the radio and rewrite them to say whatever I was feeling that day and then teach the songs to my friends to sing. I didn't realize that I had a voice until I joined the choir in church and they gave me and 2 other girls a part. When it was time to sing for Sunday service, the other girls tried to keep the solo to themselves and not pass the mic to me. Of course I got mad and started to sing the solo without the mic, I was so loud that I overshadowed the girls with the mic and the congregation went bananas and I thought to myself, wow I must have sounded good lol. So from then on, I sang my own songs. GrinderZZ: Have you ever performed out of state at any events? Drea: Absolutely! I tell people, until my music is on regular rotation everywhere, then I am the rotation! I have been to Rhode Island, Connecticut, Boston, Pennsylvania, Miami, Canada, Atlanta and soon going to Dallas. I have also opened up for Tank, Mario, and Christopher Rivers (Big Pun Son) GrinderZZ: Can you name three artists, old school or new, that you would love to work with one day? Drea: First, Mary J. Blige, Lil' Kim, Keyshia Cole. There are more, but you said to only name three. Lol! GrinderZZ: How supportive are your family and friends? Drea: My immediate family is extremely supportive. I have 3 boys and my oldest boys help with the young one when I have to travel and/or perform. When I can I bring them to shows and they love it. GrinderZZ: Are you currently working on any new material that you can speak about in this interview? Drea: I am currently in the studio working on my next project name TBA. Hopefully, early next year, it will be released to the masses.

GrinderZZ: If there’s anyone out there that needs some guidance about getting into the music industry, what advice would you give them? Drea: Don't believe the hype and don't feed the negativity. H 3 Hello! Once again, this is Angie Christine bringing you another hot, up and coming artist. Yesterday GrinderZZ magazine, and Fuzionz magazine we're invited to the 2HotRadio's, “Who wants to make it competition”, and the atmosphere was lit! The people that came to audition definitely came to win, but there was one artist that really caught my eye, and I just had to snatch him up for this exclusive interview. His name is Steven Scott, but he goes by the name H3. GrinderZZ: Well, good afternoon H3 and welcome to GrinderZZ 24/7 magazine &TV'S studio. Can you please tell my audience a little something about you? H3: Hi! My Name is H3TheArtist. I’m from Clayton GA, aka, Southside Atlanta. I’m 17 years old. I do Hip Hop, and R&B. I write, produce, and edit a lot of my work that I’ve released. I’m just an artist who wants to create music that people can enjoy. GrinderZZ: You were born and raised on the south side of Atlanta. Tell us what it was like growing up there? H3: I was actually born on the Eastside of Decatur GA, Christmas 2002. My upbringing for the most part was here in Clayco, and I’m proud to have grown up here. You see a lot of different things living here. In my opinion, it’s not all one sided. You see people who work and live middle class lives, while some struggle and have to make a way. I love the grind of people from here though. We are true grinders down here. GrinderZZ: At what age did you first knew you wanted to be in the music industry? H3: My entire life, I’ve been surrounded around by music because of my family. I started producing in middle school at the age of 12, and I started writing music at 13. I released my first project at 16 in 2019 titled, “H3R0 Land”.

GrinderZZ: You told us your big influences are TI, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Bryson Tiller. What is it about them that makes them stand out to you? H3: TI to me is like an Atlanta poet, and growing up hearing him was a big influence, Cole and Kendrick have dope storytelling and punch lines. I admire Bryson Tiller. He has an image and sound I can relate to. I feel like I see a part of myself when I watch him perform. GrinderZZ: Your song, "Dreams" hit 100k streams on Sound Cloud within 2 months. How does that make you feel? H3: That entire Project was my debut to being a true artist, and it was extremely exciting to get that type of feedback. I was on the radio in Chicago, and Columbus do to that project, and I really loved everything. That project gave me the confidence to go even further with music. GrinderZZ: You were also crowned champion of Soulja Boy's SODMG'S 2019 Indie Music Fest. Were you your family and your friends going nuts that you were the winner? H3: It was dope, really dope! It was my first performance EVER, and to be crowned a champ gave my confidence a huge boost. My family was extremely happy for me, and I was glad to bring home the win.

GrinderZZ: The rap game back in the day was fierce! If it weren't for the pioneers of rap, there wouldn't be any rap. Can you name three old -school hip-hop artists that you would love to work with it if given the chance too? H3: That’s tough, I’d probably say Andre 3000, Nas, and Pimp C. GrinderZZ: How can a fan reach out to you? H3: Follow me on Instagram, and Twitter,at @h3theartist, and they could DM me as well. I’ll respond, no doubt. GrinderZZ: Any advice you can give to someone who wants the join the world of music? H3: You have to have the drive and passionate to know what you want out of it! Lastly, always stay focused on the goal. GrinderZZ: Any last words/shout outs? H3: Shout out to @therealsouthkak, all of Clayco, and all my family in South Carolina. I also want to thank you for having me in the studio. I appreciate it a lot. Again, thank you H3 for this wonderful opportunity to have you in GrinderZZ 24/7 Magazine &TV. Keep grinding and shining.

An Interview With

CEO Rashad Ali Khalil

This guy I'm about to introduce you too is a grinder to the fullest max. Rashad Ali Khalil is the C.E.O of Star Soul Fame honor's, and the host of his very own show, R&B Soul Effect Tv. GrinderZZ was able to catch up to him before he hopped on his business flight. GrinderZZ: Good afternoon Rashad, and welcome to GrinderZZ 24/7 Magazine &TV. Please tell my audience something about yourself? Rashad: I'm a DJ-Host, music promoter, and I tell history stories of legendary artists, and give fans update on new music releases, and other music related info. GrinderZZ: At what age did you start having a love for good music? Rashad: I've been a fan of music since I could remember. At the age of 3yrs. old, I was watching Soul Train, Video Soul, and, Solid Gold. It was so many music TV outlets that had me hooked really quick. Those were great times. GrinderZZ: You were raised in Louisville, Ky. How was the music scene out in that area of the world? Rashad: At that time, growing up, it wasn't a lot of people that I know or knew wanting to be an artist. It was more like being a fan of it, but not necessary active. Actually becoming one, but it didn't really start buzzing until a R&B group called, "Playa" came, and they were from Louisville. They came out around 1998, but that buzz died quick. The only major one that was real huge in my city was, Static Major, R.I.P. He wrote so many hits for Aaliyah, Lil Wayne, Destiny's Child, Ginuwine, the list goes on. There are lot of talented artists like, Bryson Tiller. He got signed to RCA in 2016. That was another great win you can say for the city to see someone making it.

GrinderZZ: You once told us that the three men you admired in the business were, Soul Train's, Don Cornelius, and MTV's, Ed Lover and Dr. Dre. Were they the ones that inspired you to jump into your career? Rashad: You’re absolutely right! I also admired Donnie Simpson, and all the other greats. They sparked something in me that I didn't even notice. When I was 9yrs old, I told my mother I wanted to be just like them. I knew that was my calling. GrinderZZ: You were a big fan and inspired by Soul Train and American Bandstand. What was it about those shows made you hooked on them? Rashad: At that time, American Bandstand, Soul Train, and other shows were great. Before we had the internet, I couldn't wait for Saturdays to get here just to see who was performing, and I used to study on how to interview artists by watching Don Cornelius, and Dick Clarke. I've learned a lot by watching them, and how they do their business. Those are trailblazers, and the reason I say that, is because, if it wasn't for them, it wouldn't be no Mr. Souleffect. I always pay my respect to those pioneers. GrinderZZ: Back in 1996, you were a hip hop promoter, and was given the name Mr Hip Hop effect by your friend, Andre Tobin. Name 3 hip hop artist you admire and would love to maybe one day interview them on your show? Rashad: If I was doing hip-hop again I would love to interview Andre 3000 of Outkast, Jay-Z, and E40 those be the top three. GrinderZZ: In 2016, you resurfaced and changed your name to, Mr Soul Effect. Are there any future project's that's coming up you can speak about? Rashad: My future project I'm working on is a spinoff called "RnB Souleffect-Tv After Dark", and that will make its debut on late January 2021 to early February. Fans will see me go live on Facebook, back on my DJ mode. GrinderZZ: July 2, 2021, you're once again hosting the 3rd annual, Star Soul Fame Award's. Can you give my audience a little bit of information on the show?

Rashad: Star Soul Fame Honors is an independent award platform that honors legendary artists for their accomplishments, and awarding indie artists. The award platform was needed because I wanted to make sure that legendary artists finally got awarded, because these mainstream award shows do a lot of favoritism. There are so many amazing artists and songwriters that wrote classic hits, but for some reason, they was overlooked and never been nominated or won award’s. This is why I wanted to change all of that, and bring something new to the culture of soul music. GrinderZZ: How can the fans reach out to you? Rashad: They can follow "RnB Souleffect-Tv" on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. GrinderZZ: Any last words/shout outs? Rashad: I want to give a big shout out to the fans that continue to support my business platform. Also, shout out to legendary artists and legendary songwriters, Jody Watley, After 7, Freddie Jackson, Jimmy Jam, and so many others. Thank you all for taking the time to knowledge my brand. I wouldn't be buzzing if it wasn't for you guys, so thank you once again. Again Rashad, we thank you for coming out and having this interview with us. Continue to stay blessed.

MOVING Blog by Kim Moving can be good. Right? Moving our feet & legs, so we can walk places. Moving our hands, so we can talk better. Moving our arms, so we can pretend we can fly. Moving the cup closer, so we can drink from it. And then - there's MOVING, from one house to another. It doesn't really matter how long - or short - a time you've been in one place. STUFF ACCUMULATES. I mean it's like bunny rabbits! Stuff Multiplies So Fast, like overnight, and we don't even see it happening. It's Amazing. Seriously we should get awards for how fast things end up at our homes. I'm not a hoarder. Really, I'm not. But, I do like 'things'. And, I'm sentimental, so I attach feelings to these things. Oh, the things don't have feelings. Maybe they do, but oh, I hope they don't because that would make it even harder to give them up. We just moved. Not far, just three tenths of a mile from one house to another. The new house is 300 square foot smaller. You know what That means: Less Storage Space = Things Have to Go. Yikes. I had great hopes in my head that EVERYTHING would fit perfectly into our new home. I mean, I could see it in my mind. Then, we started moving furniture in. Uh Oh. I had to face the awful truth. We Had Too Much Stuff. I rearranged it all in my brain, but the truth just laughed at me. I had to let some things go. Funny thing, this letting go. Once I got started, I was on a roll. I had to question myself a few times as I loaded one bag after another with all the clothes I thought I would wear again some day (and, let's face it, I'm not good at losing weight). I got rid of nic nacs that had been packed in boxes for years, just moved from one place to another. And you know what? IT FELT GOOD. I even feel like I weigh less. Why didn't I do this sooner? All this time, all this stuff & all I had to was get moving. I moved my arms, hands, and legs and drove 5 carloads to the thrift store. Hey! Moving is Fun!Do I wanna do it again? NOPE! No Way.

An Interview With

Kendra De’Angelo

Everybody can't sing, and if they can't, there's always singing lessons that are available. This young man right here I believe was born singing, because his voice is out of this world. GrinderZZ presents to you, Kendra DeAngelo. GrinderZZ: Hey Kendra, welcome to GrinderZZ 24/7 magazine and TV. Can you please let my audience to know a little something about yourself? Kendra: Hello Angie Christine! I am just so honored to even have this conversation! I am so excited! I really don’t even know where to start! I am 29 years old. I am a husband of one, a father of two, and the second eldest of 5 children! I grew up in a small town called Wellington, Alabama with my grandparents who adopted me as a baby. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. Like most artist, I received my foundation in church and grew up singing Gospel. I went to Alexandria Elementary, Middle, and High; where I became the first African American Drum Major. I graduated in 2010 and went to Jacksonville State University. I became a correctional officer around 2016-17. After working in the jail, I graduated from the North East Alabama Law Enforcement Academy as a Deputy Sheriff. I am currently the Chief of Security for a company in Anniston, AL. I am a member of Xoul N -Finity Music Group. I spend my spoiling my daughters, decorating, making floral arrangements, and hanging out with friends. GrinderZZ: You were born and raised in Wellington, Alabama. How was it like growing up there? Kendra: Whew! I take pride in being from Wellington, AL! I grew up on Woodruff Rd. In our part of the little town, everybody knew everybody and was somehow related! It was good having distant cousins to play with and many role models in the neighborhood. There are many woods and trails that my oldest sister and I used to spend time exploring! However; there are still church cemeteries where many of my loved ones are buried in back, just as in days of segregation. Many areas where the rebel flags fly high, the cotton fills the areas where my family gathered to make money to live. I grew up picking and purchasing fresh vegetables from the white man’s garden. I guess it’s fair to say that I’m an old soul!

GrinderZZ: At what age did you start singing? Kendra: I’m not even sure! I remembered that we had a children’s choir called “Me Too” at my home church in Ragland, AL. I was about five years old singing to the top of my lungs. I always knew that I wanted to become an artist, but my parents were not musically inclined. So it was a great challenge for me to embrace my love for music. Especially being a preacher’s kid and wanting to sing rhythm and blues or even country music. GrinderZZ: Are there any artist right now that you dream about ever singing and performing with? Kendra: Oh my goodness! They are many artists I would love to sing with! Unfortunately many of them have already passed away. I am a fan of classics; People such as James Brown, Whitney Houston, Prince and Lord knows Aretha Franklin! However, there are still many legendary artists left. I would love to sing with JP Cooper, Fantasia, John Legend, and Calvin Richardson! GrinderZZ: When I first saw you, you sang Etta James’ song, "At Last". Is that your go-to song for when you are competing, or auditioning for any shows? Kendra: It is definitely one of my favorite songs! I chose it last because when I saw my information for my audition it said Black Love. So I figured I would sing a love song. When I got there I realized that had nothing to do with what I was doing! I was quite tickled! My audition go to song is “A Change is Gone Come” by Sam Cooke. GrinderZZ: I also checked out a couple of your videos and you actually did a song by James Brown back in 2017. You sung, “Man's World". Are you a big fan of the late, James Brown? Kendra: Wow! I’m honored that you listened to them! I’ve been a fan of James Brown since before my papa got his brand new bag! Oh how I admire his stage presence, his rough yet smooth tone, and most of all his hair and style! Mr. Dynamite! He was and will always be The Godfather of Soul! GrinderZZ: Where do you see yourself in 5 years with

your career, or where would you like to see yourself? Kendra: I would like to have a complete project of music on numerous platforms! I would love to have at least three of my singles published! I would like to see myself in front of big crowds, big labels, and even opening up for current artists! GrinderZZ: What advice can you give to someone who might want to follow in your footsteps? Kendra: That is a really good question. I would first remind them that it’s going to take hard work and dedication. I would tell them not to wait. Follow their dreams! I would encourage them to understand that everybody is not going to support you including your parents at times. GrinderZZ: How can the fans reach out to you? Kendra: Yes! Fans can reach me: on Facebook @ Kendra DeAngelo, my Facebook music page @Kendra DeAngelo Music Page, Instagram @kendradeangelo, and even Snap Chat @deangelomuziq GrinderZZ: Do you have any last words or shout- outs you would to give at this present time? Kendra: I must thank God for this opportunity along with you for allowing me to be here. I would like to thank my wife for her endless support and love, my team Joseph Maurice and Kelsey Cunningham and a special thank you to my great grandmother, Earnestine Kirby, who constantly pushes me forward. I want to thank you Kendra for the outstanding interview. Keep grinding and keep shining.
