There is currently a scarcity of regulations and laws for controlling habitat fragmentation in the ocean. Although in Chile it has been possible to establish protected marine areas and marine parks, there is still quite a long way to go for ensuring the wellbeing of our unique and still little known biodiversity. In this context, the AĂąihue Reserve seeks to make a contribution by creating a basis of knowledge about the biodiversity existing in these incredible and unexplored ecosystems.
