Uvod

ANIMANIMA 2019, filmovi koje ćete voleti Prvi septembarski dani, festivalska groznica, Animanima broj 13 stiže na veliko platno Doma kulture u Čačku! Kao i obično, takmičarski program je priča za sebe: obuhvatajući mnoštvo filmova od najboljeg iz aktuelne produkcije, postaje referentan uvid u evropsku i svetsku scenu. Na pet projekcija biće prikazano četrdeset kratkih animiranih filmova iz sedamnaest zemalja, pomenimo na ovom mestu tek samo nove filmove Ređine Pesoe, Geze M. Tota, Dahe Džeong... Milen Alempijević, umetnički direktor / art director

Festivalska publika širom sveta je prethodnih desetak godina uvek s nestrpljenjem iščekivala svaku novu epizodu animiranog serijala Bendito Machine. Animanima 2019 je sjajna prilika da vidimo svih šest delova, a i da upoznamo autora, animatora iz Španije, Đosija Malisa. Neumorna Paola Bristot stiže nam u goste sa kolekcijom novih ostvarenja italijanskih majstora animacije, a dokumentarac Magia Russica, Jonatana i Maše Zur, podsetiće nas na Fjodora Hitruka, Jurija Norštajna i druge velikane ruskog animiranog filma. Program studija Papy3D iz Pariza jednostavno ne smete propustiti, jer će na velikom platnu biti filmovi reditelja ovog studija, Franka Diona, Žila Kuvelijea, Sare Van Den Bom i Žeremija Klapena. Dakle, sam krem evropske animacije! Tradicionalni program u kome predstavljamo škole animacije, ove godine posvećen je uglednom Univerzitetu umetnosti Moholji-Nađ (MOME) iz Budimpešte, odnosno njegovom odseku za animaciju MOME Anim. Zahvaljujući izvanrednom vizuelnom izgledu i priči o neobičnom skupljaču umetničkih dela, mađarski dugometražni animirani film Ruben Brant, kolekcionar, stekao je brojne poklonike na festivalima koji su prethodili Animanimi. Evo ga, u punom sjaju, i pred našom publikom! Ljubiteljima ’devete umetnosti’ preporučujemo uzbudljivu i nadasve zabavnu izložbu kreiranu u čast autorima i junacima kultnog stripa Alan Ford, a povodom pedeset godina od izlaska prve epizode. Da, Animanima 2019, jer ovde su filmovi koje ćete voleti!

Introduction

ANIMANIMA 2019, Films You are Going to Love The first days of September and it’s the festival fever: Animanima number 13 hits the large screen of the Čačak Cultural Centre! As usual, the competition programme is in a class of its own: featuring loads of films chosen among the best titles from the current production, the programme offers a benchmark insight into the European and the world scene. The five screening sessions will present forty short animated films from seventeen different countries, to mention here only the new films by Regina Pessoa, Geza M. Toth and Dahee Jeong, as an illustration. For the past ten or so years, festival audiences around the world would be looking forward to every new episode of the animated series Bendito Machine. Animanima 2019 presents a great opportunity not only to see all six parts of the series, but also to meet the author, the Spanish animator Jossie Malis. Tireless Paola Bristot is paying us a visit with a collection of new releases by Italian animation masters, while the documentary Magia Russica by Jonathan and Masha Zur will remind us of Fyodor Khitruk, Yuri Norstein and other great names of the Russian animated film. The programme of the Papy3D studio is a must-see event, with the big screen show of films by directors from this studio, Franck Dion, Gilles Cuvelier, Sarah Van Den Boom and Jeremy Clapin, the cream of European animation! This year, the traditional programme presenting animation schools is dedicated to the reputable Moholy-Nagy University of Art (MOME) from Budapest, i.e. its department for animation, the MOME Anim. Owing to its outstanding visual appearance and a story of unusual collector of works of art, the Hungarian full-feature animated film Ruben Brant, Collector, has gained numerous fans in the festivals preceding Animanima. So, here it is now, in all its glory, before our audiences as well! Lovers of ‘9th art’ will cherish the exciting and above all amusing exhibition, a tribute to the authors and heroes of the Alan Ford cult comic series, commemorating 50th anniversary of the publication of the comic’s first episode. Yes, Animanima 2019 – because here you will find films you are going to love!

Franck Dion Francuska / France

Frank Dion je završio studije glume, a razvijao se kao umetnik i u oblasti vajarstva, crteža i slikarstva. Sarađuje sa izdavačkim kućama i časopisima. Godine 2003. režira Popis duhova, svoj prvi kratki film (producent Didje Bruner), za koji dobija nagradu žirija Junior Canal J na Međunarodnom festivalu animacije u Ansiju, a 2004. bio je nominovan za priznanje Cartoon d’or. Sa nekoliko prijatelja 2006. godine osniva produkcijsku kuću PAPY3D. Režira 2008. godine Gospodin Kok, prikazan na festivalima širom sveta, uključujući i Sundance. Edmond je bio magarac osvaja 2012. posebnu nagradu žirija u Ansiju, kao i nominaciju za Golden Cartoon i Césars, 2013. godine. Glava koja nestaje osvaja Kristal za najbolji kratki film u Ansiju 2016. godine, kao i više od dvadeset međunarodnih nagrada, ušavši i u uži izbor za nagradu Oskar. Najnoviji film je Per Aspera Ad Astra. After training as an actor, Franck Dion became a self-taught artist in sculpture, drawing and painting. Franck collaborates with publishing houses and magazines. In 2003, he directed The Ghost Inventory, his first short film (produced by Didier Brunner), winning the Junior Canal J jury prize at the Annecy International Animation Festival and a nomination for the Cartoon d’or in 2004. In 2006, he founded the production company PAPY3D with a few friends. In 2008, he directed Mr. COK, widely screened at festivals around the world, including the Sundance. Edmond was a donkey won the special jury prize at the Annecy 2012 festival, as well as a nomination for the Golden Cartoon and Césars 2013. A Head Disappears won the Krystal at the Annecy 2016 festival as well as over twenty international prizes, and was Academy Award shortlisted. Per Aspera Ad Astra is his most recent film.

Paola Bristot je završila studije na odseku za umetničke muzičke spektakle na univerzitetu u Bolonji (1985) i specijalističke studije u oblasti savremene istorije umetnosti na Univerzitetu u Bolonji (1991). Radi kao profesor Istorije umetnosti na Akademiji u Veneciji. Kao predsednica udruženja Viva Comix, organizator je mnogobrojnih izložbi na temu stripa, ilustracije, animacije i vizuelnih umetnosti. Paola je Umetnički direktor 12. izdanja Malog festivala animacije (Piccolo Festival Animazione) u Trstu, Udinama, Predenoneu, Gorici i Veneciji. Zajedno sa Andreom Martinjonijem, nastupala je kao prezenter 5. DVD-a Animazioni (2010-17, Viva Comix, Ottomani), antologije savremenog italijanskog kratkog filma. Kao umetnički direktor, producent je eksperimentalnog filma Recikliranje (Arte Video, Viva Comix, 2014.).

Đosi Malis (1976) je dizajner, animator, filmski autor i publicista peruansko-čileanskog porekla, reditelj studija Zumbakamera Films, koji sa španskog ostrva Majorke šalje signale u svemir. Obdaren posebnom strašću za imaginarno kao kombinaciju mašina i kosmosa, svoje vreme uglavnom deli između umetničke režije, izdavanja kineografa i produkcije kratkih filmova, muzičkih spotova ili serija, poput nagrađivane Bendito Machine. Njegovi kratki filmovi birani su za selekcije poznatih festivala širom sveta, kao što su festival u Ansiju, Sitgesu, festival Cinanima, BAF, Pictoplasma, SICAF ili Fantastic Fest, između ostalih, na kojima su osvajali brojna priznanja. Njegov rad je akutni komentar ljudskog roda sa svim svojim slabostima, ali i sa svojim mašinama, strahovima i tajnama univerzuma.

Paola Bristot, graduated in Discipline Arti Musica Spettacolo, in University of Bologna (1985) and specialized in Contemporary History Art in University of Bologna (1991). She is professor of History of Art at the Academy in Venezia. Like president of the Viva Comix association organizes many exhibitions concerning comics, illustration, animation and visual arts. She is the Artistic Director of the Piccolo Festival Animazione (12th edition) in Trieste, Udine, Pordenone, Gorizia and Venice. She curated with Andrea Martignoni the 5th DVD Animazioni (2010-17, Viva Comix, Ottomani), anthologies of contemporary Italian short film. Like art director produced the experimental film Re-cycling (Arte Video, Viva Comix 2014).

Jossie Malis (1976) is a designer, animator, filmmaker and publisher of Peruvian-Chilean origin and director of the studio Zumbakamera Films, sending signals to the outer space from the island of Mallorca (Spain). With special passion for an imaginary which incorporates machines and the cosmos, he spend most of the time between art direction, publishing flipbooks and producing shortfilms, music videos or series such as the award-winning Bendito Machine. His short films have been selected in festivals around the world such as Annecy, Sitges, Cinanima, BAF, Pictoplasma, SICAF or Fantastic Fest, among others, receiving a long list of accolades. His work is an acute commentary on humans and their weaknesses, their machines, their fears and the mysteries of the universe.

Moja generacija je poslednje poglavlje trilogije Logorama - Vreme novca - Moja generacija. Kao deo umetničke saradnje sa Mirwaïsom, ovaj apokaliptični i hipnotički road movie materijalizuje i predstavlja jedinstvo digitalnih tokova kojima se konstantno bavimo. Fluks za koji mislimo da smo ovladali njime, dok on u stvari neprestano izmiče.

Žena u godinama se kupa. Dok ulazi u vodu otkriva jedan novi svet. Telefon, na stolici, spaja je sa njenim sinom, i to je jedina veza sa realnim svetom.

My Generation is the final chapter of the trilogy Logorama - Money Time - My Generation. As part of an artistic collaboration with Mirwaïs, this apocalyptic and hypnotic road movie materializes and represents the ensemble of digital streams we constantly deal with. A flux that we believe to master, while it perpetually escapes.

An aged woman is taking a bath. While entering the water, a new world reveals. The phone, on a chair, connects her with her son and is the only link to the real world.

Usamljeni dečak se igra sa šibicam u boji. Dok on priča o svojim snovima, strahovima i nadama, šibice njegovim vizijama udahnjuju život. Film se zasniva na intervjuu sa sedmogodišnjim L.S.

Caught up in our human lives, we miss out on the amazing. On an airplane wing, a company of snails performs a wonderfully slippery choreography...

A lonely boy is playing with his colorful matchsticks. While he is talking about his dreams, fears and hopes, the matchsticks bring his visions to life. The film is based on an interview with the 7-year-old L. S.

U pravom vatrometu digitalnih autoportreta, na stotine njih, sramotni i uznemirujući selfiji su složeni u jedinstvenu kompoziciju kratkog filma. Svaki fotos, umetnički prerađen, spreman je da načini jezivi kez koji će nadmašiti i ponor ljudske egzistencije.

Gledajući rentgenski snimak, zgodni mladić je prestravljen spoznajom da je čudna, tumoru nalik kvrga na njegovim grudima u stvari teme glave jednog debeljuškastog čovečuljka. Koji se ugnezdio u njegovom telu i čeka da se rodi...

In a veritable firework display of digital selfportraits, hundreds of quaint, embarrassing and dreadfully disturbing selfies were arranged in a unique short film composition. Single photos, artistically reworked, consolidate to form a ghastly grin that outshines the abyss of human existence.

Looking at an x-ray image a young handsome man is horrified to learn that the weird, tumor-like lump on his chest is the top of a tiny plump man`s head. Nested in his body, he is waiting to be born...

Austronaut se vraća na Zemlju i pokušava da se ponovo uklopi.

U početku beše mrlja. Potez četkom otkriva biće koje se pomalja iz gvaša. On ga otvara, transformiše, uvrće i upotpunjuje. Iz ove ubrzane evolucije nastaje jedno pobedničko biće.

An astronaut comes back to Earth and tries to fit in again.

In the beginning there was the stain. A paintbrush stroke reveals a being that emerges from the gouache. It opens him up, transforms him, twists and completes him. From this accelerated evolution emanates an allconquering being.

U jednom fantastičnom gradu, mnogo misterioznih stvari se događa u isti čas. Film nastao u saradnji više autora povodom jubileja 50 godina Udruženja švajcarskih animatora.

Ovo je kratka priča o ljudskom strahu i strepnji i donosi temu globalnih katastrofa koje pokreće neko na vrhu piramide. Na nesreću, to je danas najčešća tema.

In a fantastic town, many mysterious things happen at once. A collaborative film produced for the 50 years jubilee of the Association of Swiss Animation Filmmakers.

This is a short story dealing with the universal theme of human fear and threat. It brings the topic of global disasters which come to movement through someone powerful at the top of the pyramid. Unfortunately, it is highly topical nowadays.

Ja sam jedan. Jedan od mnogih. Jedan od svih, a ipak jedini. Šta je to što tražim, a večno mi izmiče?

Dva tela privlače jedno drugo snagom direktno proporcionalnom njihovim masama i obrnuto proporcionalnom kvadratu rastojanja između njihovih centara gravitacije.

I am one. One of many. One of everyone yet the only one. What is it that I am looking for, that always seems out of reach?

Two bodies attract each other with a force directly proportional to their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their gravity centers.

Glava u koprivama Nettle Head

Imigrant dolazi u državu prvog sveta da slika mural na najvišem tornju. Pokušava da se prilagodi novoj realnosti, ali ksenofobija i čudna pravila prisiljavaju ga da se vrati. U njegovom odsustvu njegova zemlja se menja i on postaje stranac u sopstvenoj domovini.

Bastijen i njegova dva druga ulaze u zabranjenu zonu. U ruševinama i toksičnom otpadu, nešto čeka... Bastien and his two friends enter the forbidden area. In the ruins and the toxic haze, something is waiting...

An immigrant comes to the first-world country to paint a mural on the tallest tower. He tries to adapt to the new reality, but xenophobia and odd rules force him to go back. In his absence his country evolves, and he becomes a stranger in his own homeland.

Fijuk vetra Windshriek

U rasponu od 10 minuta, afrički baobab izraste 0,008 mm, najbrži pas na svetu, hrt, može da trči 12 km, a zemlja putuje 18.000 km oko Sunca. ‘Kretnje’ su 10-minutni kratki animirani film koji sam crtala po 2 sekunde animacije dnevno. Mi svi hodamo, gledamo, radimo, trčimo, i zaustavljamo se zajedno.

Vetar duva u zaboravljenu knjigu punu bića načinjenih od slova. The wind blows into a forgotten book full of Alphabet creatures.

In the space of 10 minutes, the African baobab tree grows 0.008mm, the fastest dog in the world, the Greyhound, can run 12 km, and the Earth travels 18,000 km around the Sun. “Movements” is a 10-minute animated film which I drew at a rate of 2 seconds of animation per day. Usamljena orbita The Lonely Orbit

Leman 1955 Le Mans 1955

Usamljeni satelitski tehničar neprestano se dopisuje mobilnim telefonom sa prijateljima koje je morao da ostavi zbog svog posla iz snova. Zato što je on zapostavio dužnost, jedan satelit napušta svoju orbitu izazivajući kolaps svetske mreže.

Dvadeset četiri časa Lemana, 1955. godine. Automobil Pjera Leveka zariva se u tribine sa gledaocima. Tragedija odnosi osamdeset života. Trka se nastavlja. U Mercedesu, Levekov ko-pilot sprema se da preuzme dužnost. Njegovo ime je Džon Fič.

Leaving for his dream job, a satellite technician keeps solitude at bay by constantly texting with his old friends. After neglecting his duties, a satellite leaves its orbit which causes the world’s network to collapse.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans, 1955. Pierre Levegh’s car ploughs into the spectator stands. A tragedy will cost more than 80 lives. And yet, the race goes on. At Mercedes, Levegh’s co-pilot is ready to take the relay. His name is John Fitch.

Žurka u bloku u predgrađu. Rejv, roštilj i sladoled. A onda kaskader. Inspirisano Jutjubom i simulirano.

Dvanaestogodišnji Džonatan živi sa sestrom, majkom i još sa nekim muškarcima. Svi oni imaju ista lica i sklupčavaju se u ormare, fioke i televizore.

A suburbian blockparty. Rave, drone, bbq and icecream. Then a stunt. Youtube inspired and simulated.

Twelve-year-old Jonathan lives with his sister, mother and also some men. They all have the same faces and curl up in the closets, drawers and the TV set.

Udahnut život Imbued Life

Tokom sunčanog odmora, grupa turista s naporom napušta svoje živote velegrađana, a odusutvo dnevnih obaveza ostavlja ih izgubljene na neudobnom i zastrašujućem mestu. Jednom, kada shvate kako da uspore, možda će i pronaći malo lepote sada i ovde.

Mlada žena preparira životinje da bi ih “vratila” u njihovo prirodno stanište. Istinska potraga za odgovorima počne kada u svakoj životinji na kojoj počinje da radi otkrije rolnu nerazvijenog filma.

During a sunny holiday, a flock of tourists struggle to let go of their busy city lives, and the absence of daily tasks leaves them lost in an uncomfortable and frightening place. Once they learn to slow down, they may find some beauty in the here and now.

A young woman uses her talent for taxidermy to “return” the animals to their natural habitat. The true search for the answers begins when she starts finding a roll of undeveloped film in each of the animals she treats.

Jedan beli cvet raste okružen drugim biljem, boreći se svakodnevno za opstanak.

Oskar je dete koje klija u bašti svojih roditelja. Niko ne zna njegov biološki pol ali on tvrdi da je muško. Jednog dana Oskar proživi neobičnu ali i bolnu avanturu u autoritarnom i opresivnom svetu. Da li će uspeti da dobije priznjanje identiteta za kojim toliko žudi.

A lonely white flower grows surrounded by other plants and every day he struggles to survive.

Oscar is a child who sprouts in his parents garden. Nobody knows his biological sex but he claims the masculine gender. One day Oscar lives an extraordinary but painful adventure in an authoritarian and oppressive world. Will he manage to have the identity recognition he desires so much?

Jedno popodne na plivačkom bazenu.

San Francisko, 1973. godina. Čarls Bukovski, andergraund pesnik i panker ispred svog vremena, čita svoju pesmu “Ljubav” pred razularenom publikom koja je došla da bi čula prizemne pesnikove provokacije. Ali tog dana, umesto panka, sreli su slomljenog čoveka gladnog ljubavi.

San Francisco, 1973. Charles Bukowski, underground poet and punk ahead of his time, reads his poem LOVE in front of a wild audience who came to listen to the trash poet’s provocations. But that day, instead of the punk, they found a broken man hungry for love.

Prelazak Passage

Ujak Tomas, računovođa dana Uncle Thomas, Accounting For The Days

Jedan dečak je ostavljen da umre usred rata i uništenja, a poslednji članovi njegovog plemena su pod neprijateljskom vatrom rastavljeni na osnovne geometrijske forme. Dečak gradi totem od njihovih ostataka.

Iz Regininog ličnog sećanja i vizuelnog pamćenja, počast njenom ujaku Tomasu, skromnom čoveku koji je živeo jednostavan, običan život. Ovo je i priznanje da neko ne mora da bude poznat da bi bio izuzetan u našem životu.

Experimental music video inspired by original composition by Cumbia Hasta el Lunes, exploring the sound landscapes of Latin American folk fusion with electronic music through a visual journey of organic shapes and vibrant colors.

From Regina’s personal and visual memories, a tribute to her uncle Thomas, a humble man with a simple and anonymous life. This is an acknowledgment how one does not have to be somebody to become exceptional in our life.

Savremeni kratki film apsurda o divljoj transformaciji devetoro ljudi zaglavljenih u metrou.

Pre trideset šest hiljada godina, u klisuri reke Ardeš, kada je životinja naslikana, ona je ulovljena. Kad opet dođe vreme za Lov i slikanje, Gvela su postavili za vođu grupe lovaca, a Karu Slikar i njegov šegrt Lani se spremaju za oslikavanje zidova velike pećine. Ali nisu računali na susret u lavljoj pećini.

Animals is an absurdist contemporary short film following the wild transformation of nine people stuck in a metro.

Thirty six thousand years ago, in the Ardèche river gorge, when an animal was painted, it was hunted. When it is again time to go Hunting and Painting, Gwel is appointed head of the group of hunters while Karou the Painter and his apprentice Lani set off to paint the walls of the great cavern. But they hadn’t counted on meeting a cave lion.

U gradu u kome su natprirodna bića deo svakodnevice, dvoje sobnih kolega suočavaju se sa uvek isitim problemom: njihovog kućnog duha svake noći proždere nepoznata spodoba. Oni na svoj način pokušavaju da nađu zamenu za duha i rešenje za ovu napast.

Odnedavno, slikar Luis i njegova ženi Mišel proživljavaju čudne događaje. Njihov svet kao da se menja. Lagano, nameštaj, stvari, ljudi, prestaju da budu stvarni. Oni gube strukturu, katkad se i razlažu...

In a town where supernatural beings are part of everyday life, two roommates face a recurring problem: their house spirit was devoured by an unknown creature overnight. They go on their way to find a replacement spirit and a solution to their pest problem.

Recently, Louis, painter, and his wife Michelle are experiencing strange events. Their world seems to be mutating. Slowly, furnitures, objects, people lose their realism. They are destructuring, sometimes disintegrating...

Mistično putovanje Telekastera iz 59-e Džimija Pejdža The Mystical Journey of Jimmy Page’s ’59 Telecaster

Najnovija saradnja višestruko nagrađivanih partnera, američkog tekstopisca Bendžamina Šojera i britanskog animatora Pitera Bejntona. Ben šalje sebe u paketu iz Njujorka u London, u posetu devojci koju voli. Nažalost, on se negde usput izgubi.

Kao deo proslave 50. godišnjice grupe Led Zeppelin, Smith & Foulkes su kreirali ovaj kratki animirani film. Vodeći gledaoce na psihodelično putovanje kroz prekretničko vreme u muzici, film se zasniva na Džimijevim sopstvenim rečima o njegovom odnosu sa ikoničkom gitarom.

The latest in the multi-award winning partnership between American songwriter Benjamin Scheuer and British animator Peter Baynton. Ben posts himself from New York to London to visit the girl he loves. Unfortunately he gets lost on the way.

As part of Led Zeppelin’s 50th anniversary celebrations, Smith & Foulkes created animated short ‘The Mystical Journey of Jimmy Page’s ‘59 Telecaster’. Taking viewers on a psychedelic tour through a pivotal time in music, the film is shaped around Jimmy’s own words on his relationship with the iconic guitar.

Obeležavajući pedesetu godišnjicu “Belog albuma” Bitlsa, Glass Onion oristi čitav spektar animacijskih tehnika da bi udahnuo novi život ikonički kolaž Ričada Hamiltona.

Smešten u univerzum inspirisan svetlucavim neonom 80-ih godine prošlog veka, ovaj muzički video donosi intenzivno psihodelično putovanje i lov na drugarstvo, gde glavni likovi spiralno poniru u svojoj utrnulosti u potrazi za stimulacijama i ekscesima.

Commissioned to mark the 50th Anniversary of The White Album, Glass Onion draws on a dazzling variety of animation techniques to breathe new life into Richard Hamilton’s iconic collage.

Set in a 1980’s inspired universe made of glowing neon lights, the music video depicts an intense psychedelic journey and hunt for companionship, where the central characters spiral downward in their numbing search for stimulation and excess.

Sarađivali smo još jednom sa Headspaceom da bi promovisali njihov novi proizvod Sleep.

Based on explicit sexual texts, this music video is showing many erotic motion pictures. The goal: To show without really showing, to talk about sex by suggestion, then showing it bluntly.

We collaborated with Headspace once again to promote their new Sleep feature.

Italijanska animacija je kaleidoskopska slika duše zemlje bogate kulturom, istorijom i međunarodnim vezama. Tokom proteklih godina, veliki broj italijanskih autora svoje filmove realizuje u koprodukciji sa saradnicima u drugim evropskim zemljama. Kroz otvoreni dijalog, ova iskustva im omogućuju da sa obnovljenom energijom i svežim stilom, proširuju umetničke horizonte. Naslov Anime Italiane je stoga odabran kao simbol jednog izražajnog korena koji, čak i kada se presadi u drugo tle, daje izdanke pune novog soka. Ovaj izbor donosi filmove različitih tehničkih i tematskih pristupa autora, koji uglavnom ne potiču iz neke određene škole animacije. Stoga se ovde radi o veoma različitim filmovima, i svi su izrazito autorski. Albina sećanja Andree Martinjonija i Marije Stajnmec zasniva se na Albinim pripovestima o ljubavi sa svojim budućim suprugom, pedesetih godina prošlog veka u Bolonji. U svom filmu 59 sekundi, Mauro Kararo se bavi zemljotresom u Friuliju 1976. godine, dok je film Osa Daria Imbronja, pravog virtuoza stop-motion animacije, više usredsređen na tehnički aspekt animacije. Predodređen za smrt Frančeska Rosa i Otvor Emanuela Kabua su nastali kombinovanjem animiranog crteža i živog snimka kamerom, u svojevrsnom istraživanju mogućnosti koje pruža animacija i eksperimentalni film. Anime Italiane Saturday, September 7th, Grand Hall, 5:30 pm The Italian animation shows the many souls of a country rich in culture, history and international relations. For several years now lots of Italian authors have started coproductions in different European countries, revitalizing themselves and renewing their style and content in an open dialogue, broadening their horizons. The title Anime Italiane refers then to a sensitive and expressive root that even if transplanted abroad flourishes with new sap. The selection of films represents the different technical and thematic approaches of each of the authors, who mostly do not originate from a specific animation school. Therefore these are all very different films and definitely authorial. Most of the films have an excellent soundtracks, composed by Demetrio Castellucci for Ekart and for Le nozze di Pollicino; Luca d'Alberto for Mercurio; Julia Kent for Dandelion; Zu band for Pandemonio. Memorie di Alba by Andrea Martignoni and Maria Steinmetz is based on Alba tellings on love story with her husband-to-be during the 50's in Bologna. Mauro Carraro realized his film 59 seconds about the earthquake in Friuli in 1976. More based on technical aspect is Ossa by Dario Imbrogno, a genuin virtuoso in stop motion. Destined to be dead by Francesco Rosso and Aperture by Emanuele Kabu was partly created as animated drawings, partly as live footage, exploring possibilities of representations expressed by animation and experimental cinema. U Mađarskoj, program animacije pri Univerzitetu za umetnost i dizajn Moholy-Nagy u Budimpešti predstavlja najvažniji centar za regrutovanje animatora, a isto tako i vodeću kreativnu radionicu. Program su zvanično pokrenuli 1980. godine na nekadašnjem Mađarskom koledžu primenjenih umetnosti instruktori koji su prethodno bili u grupi režisera okupljenih oko Panonije (Marsel Jankovič, Jožef Nep i Zolt Ričli). Za njima su krenuli umetnici iz mlađe generacije koji su završili studije animacije (kao na primer Šandor Bekeši, Geza M. Tot) un klasi svojih profesora. Od 2005. godine, na čelu programa je Jožef Filip. Pod njegovim rukovodstvom, stvoreni su programi Osnovnih i Master studija na dva nivoa. Tokom proteklih pet godina, MOME Anim je razvio saradnju sa vodećim obrazovnim institucijama u Evropi, unapređujući međunarodne programe obuke i projekte (na primer sa Nacionalnom školom za film i televiziju Ujedinjenog kraljevstva, sa Kraljevskim umetničkim koledžom Gobelins u Francuskoj, Radionicom animacije u Danskoj, Filmskom akademijom Baden-Würtenberg u Nemačkoj, Bezalel Akademijom za umetnost i dizajn u Izraelu, i CalArts-om u Sjedinjenim Amerićkim Državama. Studenti često na ingeniozan način kombinuju analogne tehnike stare škole sa najsavremenijim digitalnim tehnikama. Pažnju privlače i sjajne animatorke, čiji filmovi plene kako vizuelnim, tako i tematskim sadržajima. Mnoge od ovih autorki se u svojim filmovima bave kritikom društvenih predrasuda, kao posebno snažnom faktoru koji oblikuje današnje društvo. Za odabir filmova u ovoj selekciji zaslužna je Luka Tot, jedna od vodećih mađarskih režiserki mlađe generacije, koja je 2011. godine završila Osnovne studije na MOME Anim-u, a Master studije na Kraljevskom umetničkom koledžu u Londonu 2013. godine. Luka trenutno predaje crtanje studentima Osnovnih studija na MOME Anim.

In Hungary, the animation program at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest is today the most important recruiting base for animation and one of the leading creative workshops. At the former Hungarian College of Applied Arts, it was officially launched in 1980 by instructors who had been among the directors at Pannonia (Marcell Jankovics, József Nepp, and Zsolt Richly). Artists belonging to the younger generation who had completed studies in animation followed them among the teachers (e.g. Sándor Békési, Géza M. Tóth). Since 2005, József Fülöp has been the head of the program. The two-level BA and MA programs were created under his leadership. Over the course of the past few years, MOME Anim has developed relationships with the leading educational institutions of Europe and has created international training programs and projects (for instance with the UK-based National Film and Television School, the Royal College of Art, Gobelins in France, the Animation Workshop in Denmark, the Filmakademie Baden-Würtenberg in Germany, the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Israel, and CalArts in the United States). Students often combine old-school analogue and the most up-to-date digital techniques in ingenious ways. In addition, recently the spotlight has been taken by strong female animation artists, whose films are probably the most striking from a visual and a thematic point of view. Many of them dedicate their films to the criticism of social preconceptions, a major force shaping today’s society. This selection was curated by one of the leading female directors of the Hungarian young generation, Luca Tóth, who earned her BA at MOME Anim in 2011, and her MA at the Royal College of Art in London in 2013. She is currrently leading drawing classes for BA students at MOME Anim.

Bendito Machine je, nema sumnje, jedan od najapartnijih animiranih univerzuma, iza koga stoji grafički dizajner, ilustrator i animator iz Španije, Đosi Malis. U svom studiju Zumbakamera u Palma de Majorci Kreirajući apsurdni i kontradiktorni svet neobičnih mehanizama, gradeći kompleksnu priču punu iznenađujućih preokreta, Đosi sa puno ironije i crnog humora na jedan gotovo lucidan način dovodi pod lupu našu civilizaciju, koja je spremnu, arogantno demonstrirajući supremaciju vrste, da uruši samu sebe u prah i pepeo u beskrajnim ponavljanjima kosmičkih ciklusa. Lako je pomisliti da naš duboki, intimni doživljaj sveta u kome živimo, zaokupljenog iluzijom o samom sebi, često groteskan u svojoj samodopadljivosti, možda i ne može izgledati drugačije nego baš ovako, kao što izgleda Bendito Machine. Osoben vizuelni izraz – sve figure, arsenali, oruđa, scene, podsećaju na siluete, izražene dvodimenzionalnosti i redukovanih kretnji – dopušta Đosijevom imaginarijumu da se razmahne, a tada dolazi do izražaja i njegova strast za detaljima i suštinsko poimanje umetnosti animacije. Đosi dosledno istražuje ljudsku prirodu, pa tako Bendito Machine postaje svojevrsna paradigma društvenih odnosa u kojima politika, religija, rituali, duh plemena, destrukcija, poprimaju vrlo iznijansirana značenja. Bendito Machine generiše neomitove, poigravajući se sa artefaktima pop kulture (u drugoj epizodi jasna je aluzija na koka kolu, a pažljivi gledalac će u grupi karaktera primetiti i jednog čija glava oblikom nedvosmilseno podseća na uši Mikija Mausa), a kroz njihov kodiran ali razaznatljiv govor autor saopštava i sopstveno viđenje stvari, i to su vrhunci satire našeg doba.

Bendito Machine is no doubt one of the most non-conventional animated universes, and the man behind it is the graphic designer, illustrator and animator from Spain, Jossie Malis. Working from his Zumbakamera studio in Palma de Mallorca, he creates this absurd and contradictory world of weird mechanisms, building a complex story full of unexpected turns. With irony and dark humour, Jossie quite lucidly places our civilisation under a magnifying glass, showing how its arrogant demonstration of own supremacy threatens to trigger its self destruction to dust and ashes in endless repetition of cosmic cycles. It is easy to think that our deep, intimate experience of the world we live in, engrossed in the illusion about itself, often grotesque in its self-indulgence, may not be different from the world of Bendito Machine. The recognisable visual expression â&#x20AC;&#x201C; all the figures, arsenals, tools, scenes, resemble silhouettes of pronounced two-dimensional nature and reduced movements, allowing Jossieâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s imaginative force to gain momentum, inspiring his passion for detail and the quintessential understanding of the art of animation. Consistently researches of the human nature, turning Bendito Machine into a kind of paradigm of human relations in which politics, religion, rituals, tribal spirit, destruction, take on highly meticulous shades of meaning. Bendito Machine generates neo-myths, playing with artefacts of the pop culture (with the second episode bearing a clear allusion to Coca Cola, while a careful spectator will inevitably notice a Mickey Mouse-like shape of the head of one in the group of characters in the scene), enabling the author to use their coded but also understandable language, to convey his own stance, in what can be described as the supreme satire of this day and age.

Mi smo budući šok We are Future Shock

Džonas, osećajan mladić iz ribarske porodice, otkriva na plaži ogromnog kita na smrt izbodenog harpunima. Ovo krvoproliće ga je potreslo, osetio je bol kroz koji je ovo biće prošlo. Razapet je između tradicije iz koje dolazi i svog saosećanja sa prirodom.

Medved grizli je nezadovoljan poslom u fabrici punjača. Barmen Elvis pokušava da održi raspoloženje na visini noću. Isus Hrist pronalazi puz izvan realnosti tako što će biti napunjen. Film o pronalaženju utopija u jednom neispunjavajućem životu.

Jonas, a sensitive young man who comes from a fishermen’s family, discovers a huge dead whale on the beach, harpooned from every side. His guts are shaken in the face of this slaughter, he feels the pain it has been through. He is then torn between his traditions and his empathy for Nature.

Decenijama unazad, svakog radnog dana u četiri po podne, Pepe, jelen-službenik, pije kafu. Ova rutina troši njegov život. Za očekivanjima slede razočarenja; u međuvremenu, Pepe je osedeo i izgubio entuzijazam.

Šta bi se dogodilo nekome ko je toliko prestrašen pred spoznajom o onome što nosi u sebi. Kratki jazzy film o strahovima koji sprečavaju čoveka u razumevanju i sebe i drugih.

For decades, every working day at four in the afternoon, Pepe, a deer clerk, drinks coffee. The routine consumes his life. Expectations are followed by disappointments; meanwhile Pepe grows gray hair and loses his enthusiasm.

What could happen to someone so very afraid of seeing what he carries within. A short jazzy film about the fears that obstruct man’s way to himself and to others.

Kada se dugogodišnji prijatelji rastanu, jedan tvrdoglavi starac mora da se suoči sa unutrašnjiim strahovima da bi povratio duševni mir.

Široka ravnica, živopisni scenario, crveni pas koji kao da doseže do sunca. To su Tomova iskustva u Blajskouu, na farmi njegovog dede. On se oseća prezasićenim bujnošću prirode, neprestano u nadmetanju sa svojim rođakom, koji je na prvi pogled bolji od njega u svemu.

When a lifelong friend departs, a stubborn old man has to face his inner fears in order to restore peace to his mind.

Vast plains, colorful sceneries, a red dog, that seems to reach into the sky. This is how Tom experiences summer in Blieschow, his grandfather’s farm. He feels overwhelmed by the exuberance of nature and finds himself in a constant competition with his cousin, who is seemingly better at everything.

Kao dečak, Žano je bio mali vatreni Parižanin. Godine 1871. sanjao je da pomeni svet sa partizanima Pariske komune. Ali se zbog represije otisnuo na putovanje oko sveta. Putovanje koje je potrajalo ceo njegov život.

Učenici izvode predstavu ‘Vuk i sedam jarića’. Svi su obuzeti svojim ulogama, toliko da se granice između glume i realnosti prestaju da postoje...

As a young boy, Jeannot was a little fiery Parisian. In 1871, he dreamt to change the world with the partisans of Paris Commune. But with its repression, he is brought to a journey around the globe. The journey that lasts all his life.

The students are performing a theater called “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats”. Everybody has a role. They are totally taken in by their roles in a way that the boundary between reality and acting rarely can be distinguished...

Muškarac živi u kući sa svojom suprugom i iluzijom njihovog sina na zidu. Ova halucinacija postepeno komplikuje njihov život.

A guy accepts a job offer from a stranger on the street. He is satisfied with the wages for this simple job, until he hears strange sounds behind the curtains.

A man lives in a house with his wife and the illusion of their son on the wall. This hallucination gradually creates some complications in their life.

Priča o mladoj devojci u drevnoj Grčkoj između zrelosti i misterije prve ljubavi. U senkama noći ona vidi čudno cveće, ide kroz neobične događaje, sreće neobična stvorenja i lepe nimfe stabala. Zasnovano na ‘Bilitisinin pesmama’ Pjera Luisa (1870-1925).

Kojot izgubi ženu i decu u napadu vukova. Mučen ljudskim emocijama, on pokušava da razume ovo iskustvo. Pored tuge i zabluda, zlo zauzima sve više i više prostora.

A story of a young girl in ancient Greece between ripening and mystery of first love. In the shadows of the night she sees strange flowers, goes through unusual occurrences, meets peculiar creatures and beautiful wood-nymphs. Based upon “Les Chansons de Bilitis”by Pierre Louys (1870-1925).

A coyote loses his wife and children from an attack of wolfs. Anguished from human emotions he‘s trying to process the experience. Besides grief and delusion, evil takes up more and more space.

U Moskvi su 1935. godine prikazana tri flima Volta Diznija. Videvši ove filmove, tada mladi student Fjodor Hitruk, nije mogao da poveruje svojim očima, uveren da se radi o pravom čudu. On tada nije mogao znati da će jednog dana i sam postati jedan od velikana ruske animacije. Kroz njegovu životnu priču, otkrivamo čarobnu umetničku formu koja je decenijama ostala skrivena iza Gvozdene zavese. U poređenju sa drugim umetnostima, a naročito u poređenju sa književnošću i filmom, animirani filmovi – sa svojom reputacijom umetničke forme za decu – relativno lako su pronašli put kroz strogu cenzuru u Sovjetskom savezu. Kao i sve sovjetske institucije, Sojuzmultfilm studio za animaciju je uživao punu podršku vlade, što ne samo da je umetnicima okupljenim oko ovog studija stavilo na raspolganje veoma izdašne budžete za produkciju, već im je otvorilo i kanale za distribuciju, preko 112,000 bioskopskih dvorana širom SSSR-a. Ovakva situacija omogućila je razvoj tradicije stila animacije koja nije bila namenjena isključivo deci. Magia Russica nas vodi kroz prizore i zvuke ruskih pejzaža, do predela unutar samih animiranih filmova. Ovi filmovi ne samo da odslikavaju sovjetsko iskustvo, koje je istovremeno i teško, i obojeno humorom, već nam predstavljaju i bogatu kulturnu baštinu Rusije, sa figurom Puškina u ulozi njenog duhovnog oca. Danas, nakon sloma Sovjetskog saveza, dok Rusija prolazi kroz period tranzicije u kaptializam, umetnici animacije otkrivaju da su pravila koja vladaju tržištem i rejtingom ponekad zapravo zahtevnija od ideološke cenzure. U osvrtu na umetnički proces kakav se retko viđa, u samom stvaranju magije, umetnici razmenjuju ideje o umetnosti, o bioskopu i načinu pristupa ovim temama. Magia Russica se odvija nadahnuta duhom ruskih šuma.

In 1935, three Walt Disney films were screened in Moscow. Fyodor Khytruk, then a young art student, saw these films and didn’t believe his eyes; he was convinced that he had seen a miracle unfolding before him. What he didn’t know was that one day he himself would become one of the greats of Russian animation. Through his personal story, we discover a magical art form that remained closed behind the Iron Curtainfor decades. Compared to the other arts – especially literature and Cinema – the animated films, considered a children’s art form, passed relatively easily through the strict censorship of the Soviet Union. Like all Soviet institutions, the animation studios Soyuzmultfilm enjoyed full government support, a fact that provided the artists with generous production budgets as well as distribution in 112,000 cinemas around the USSR. This situation allowed for the development of a tradition of animation style that was not only for children. Magia Russica moves between the sights and sounds of the Russian landscape, and into those of the animated films themselves. The films reflected not only the difficult though humor-filled Soviet experience, but also the rich cultural heritage of Russia, with Pushkin as its spiritual father. Today, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, as Russia makes thetransition into capitalism, the animation artists discover that the rules of the market and ratings are not necessarily less restrictive than ideological censorship. In a rare look into the artistic process, at the creation of magic, the artists share their ideas about art, about cinema and about the way in which these should be related to. Magia Russica is guided by the spirit of their words.

Pecajući, Miću “hvata” bocu sa porukom od Džej Bija, koji piše da je zaglavio na Tajanstvenom ostrvu i da treba da ga spasu. U boci se nalazi i semenka iz koje, kad je posade, izraste džinovska kruška! Od kruške su napravili brod u kome Sebastijan, Miću i otkačeni profesor Glukoza kreću u opasnu avanturu u kojoj se sreću sa gusarima, morskim zmajem i znatiželjnim duhovima. Svu hrabrost koju su imali su skoro potrošili, ali ipak ništa ne može sprečiti najbolje prijatelje da pronađu Tajanstveno ostrvo i vrate se kući s Džej Bijem.

Best friends elephant Sebastian and Mitcho the Cat live in the peaceful seaside village of Sunnytown. They all live happily until the sudden disappearance of the favourite mayor of J.B.! While fishing, Mtichu catches a bottle with a message from J.B., saying that he got stranded at the Mysterious Island, calling them to the rescue. The bottle also has the seed which, once it is planted, sprouts into a giant pear! Having used the pear to make a boat, Sebastian, Mitcho and the weird professor Glucose embark on a dangerous adventure, bond to meet pirates, sea dragon and curious ghosts. Having almost exhausted all of the courage they’d had, the best friends are nonetheless determined to find the Mysterious Island and brin J.B. back home.

Prezentacija: MOME ANIM Subota, 7. septembar, Mala sala, 14:30-15:15 MOME Anim je odsek za animaciju na uglednom budimpeštanskom Univerzitetu umetnosti i dizajna Moholji-Nađ. Odsekom od 2005. godine upravlja Jožef Filip, pod čijim vođstvom su nastali dvostepeni BA i MA programi. O ovom pravom rasadniku talenata savremene mađarske animacije govoriće Luka Tot, koja je BA diplomu stekla 2011. godine, MA dve godine kasnije na Royal College of Art, a danas je jedno od vodećih imena nove generacije mađarskih reditelja animacije.

ANIDOX LAB brings together documentary producers, animation directors and creative producers within their joint projects, which will be the topic of video-link assisted talk by Uri Kranot, main instructor.

Making of: Ruben Brandt, Collector Saturday, 7th September, Conference Room, 12:50-13:35 Psychotherapist Ruben Brandt is tormented by nightmares filled with scenes resembling famous works of art. Convinced that his suffering will end once he gets to own these works of art, he hires professional thieves to steal them from the world museums. The first full-feature film of director Milorad Krstić has a fascinating visual appearance, while the process of its creation will be the topic of the talk by Danijel Milošević, sound designer and editor of this film.

Master Class: The Bendito Machine Universe Saturday, 7th September, Conference Room, 13:40-14:25 Bendito Machine is a series which in many ways is unlike anything else seen at the world animation scene over the past decade or so, the period during which its six episodes were produced. Ironically titled All that you need, Obey his commands or Pull the trigger, his stories are phantasmagorical and occasionally hallucinating, yield a mirroring depiction of the human kind. The Bendito Machine Universe will be presented by its author in person, the designer and animator from Spain, Jossie Malis.

Presentation: Mome Anim Saturday, 7th September, Conference Room, 14:30-15:15 MOME Anim is the animation department of the reputable Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) from Budapest. Since 2005, the department has been managed by József Fülöp, under whose mandate twolevel BA and MA programmes were established. This incubator of talents in modern Hungarian animation will be the topic of the talk by Luka Toth who, after receiving her BA degree in 2011, went on to acquire her MA two years later at the Royal College of Art, before becoming a leading figure in the new generation of Hungarian animation directors.

Radionica animacije: Animanima Game Jam Četvorodnevni game jam, tokom kojeg će polaznici naučiti kako da u potpunosti samostalno naprave malu 2D video-igru za browser. Tokom rada polaznici će naučiti osnove game dizajna (pravila, koncept, karakteri, priča); osnove 2D animacije; osnove programiranja (creative coding) i osnove digitalnih umetnosti: šta to znači, šta obuhvata, zašto je važno, kako usmerit svoj talenat, kako se može ostvariti i zarada... Voditelj: Uroš Krčadinac, multimedijalni umetnik iz Beograda. Uroš Krčadinac je doktor nauka (PhD) u oblasti softverskog inženjersva, afektivnog računarstva i generativnog dizajna (Odsek za softversko inženjerstvo Fakulteta organizacionih nauka Univerziteta u Beogradu). Predavač je na Departmanu za digitalne umetnosti Fakulteta za medije i komunikacije, kao i stručni saradnik na Seminaru dizajna u Petnici. Autor je Synesketch-a, softverske biblioteke za prepoznavanje i generativnu vizuelizaciju emocija. Urošev rad u kome povezuje iskustva iz oblasti vizuelizacije podataka, računarskih nauka, animacije, književnosti, kao i interaktivnih umetnosti i dizajna, vrednovali su naučne konferencije poput American International Digital Media and Arts Association, i naučni časopisi poput IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing and IEEE Transaction on Human-Machine Systems.

Animation Workshop: Animanima Game Jam The four-day game jam, during which the participants will learn how to make a small 2D video game for the browser, all by themselves. During the activities, the particpants will learn the basics of the game design (rules, concept, characters, narrative); basics of 2D animation; basics of programing (creative coding) and basics of digital arts: the meaning and scope of the concept, its importance, how to direct one’s talent, how to make some income... Mentor: Uroš Krčadinac, multimedia artist from Belgrade. Uroš Krčadinac holds a PhD in the area of software engineering, affective computing and generative design (Department for Software Engineering of the Faculty of Organisational Sciences in Belgrade). He is a lecturer at the Department for Digital Arts at the Faculty for Media and Communications, as well as an expert advisor at the Design Seminar in Petnica. Uroš is the author of the Synesketch, a software library for recognition and generative visualisation of emotions. Uroš’s work brings together experiences from the area of data visualisation, computer science, animation, literature and interactive art and design and it has been evaluated by scientific conferences including the one of the American International Digital Media and Arts Association, as well as scientific publications such as IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing and IEEE Transaction on Human-Machine Systems.

Džez na Animanimi: Hashima Petak, 6. septembar, Velika sala, 22:30 Hashima je beogradski sastav koji ugrađuje raznovrsna pređašnja muzička iskustva u stvaranje muzike koju je stilski teško kategorizovati. Među inspiracijama izdvajaju Vejna Šortera, Vasilija Mokranjca, Igora Stravinskog, improv, rok i folklor. Poetiku crpe i iz evropskog umetničkog filma i književnosti, koji se sublimno prepliću sa tkivom autorske muzike dajući joj programski karakter. Teme kompozicija Igora Miškovića uglavnom čine muzički motivi koji se kroz aranžman i slobodne improvizacije razvijaju do krajnjih razmera, bez ustezanja od buke ili suptilnih lirskih minijatura. Četiri različita instrumenta i senzibiliteta pronalaze se u formi ogoljenoj od tradicionalnih stilskih obeležja sa sadržajem inspirisanim dalekim napuštenim ostrvom u Japanu – Hašimom. Sastav je krajem 2015. godine objavio debi album “Tideland” za koji su recenzije pisali New York City Jazz Record, JazzTimes, JazzWise. Hashima is a young Belgrade jazz quartet that combines various musical experiences into a new adventure that is difficult to define stylistically. Among musicians that inspire them, they prefer Wayne Shorter, Vasilije Mokranjac, Igor Stravinsky, improv, rock and folklore. Their poetics draws on European arthouse film and literature, which are subliminally intertwined with the core of their original music giving it a programmatic character. The themes of Igor Miskovic’s compositions mainly consist of musical motives that are fully developed through arrangements and free improvisations, without restraining from noise or subtle lyrical miniatures. Four different instruments and sensibilities convene in form, stripped from traditional stylistic features, its content inspired by the distant abandoned island in Japan – Hashima. The group is promoting a recently released debut album Tideland that got reviewed in JazzTimes, JazzWise and New York City Jazz Record. Izložba Bendito Machine: Vreme za čaj, vreme za rat Bendito Machine je, nema sumnje, jedan od najapartnijih animiranih univerzuma, iza koga stoji grafički dizajner, ilustrator i animator iz Španije, Đosi Malis. U svom studiju Zumbakamera u Palma de Majorci on kreira taj apsurdni i kontradiktorni svet neobičnih mehanizama, gradeći kompleksnu priču punu iznenađujućih preokreta. Sa puno ironije i crnog humora Đosi na jedan gotovo lucidan način dovodi pod lupu našu civilizaciju, koja je spremna, arogantno demonstrirajući supremaciju vrste, da uruši samu sebe u prah i pepeo, u beskrajnim ponavljanjima kosmičkih ciklusa. Izložba Bendito Machine donosi postere koji predstavljaju, najpre, svog autora kao vanserijskog ilustratora. Detalji na njima, roboti, svemirske letilice, mandale, zagonetne mašine, istovremeno su i zagonetni, i bizarni, preteći, halucinantni i sablasni. Kao mitološka bića, ispunjavaju posmatrače zebnjom pred njihovim skrivenim moćima. Ili, kao stvorenja iz mladosti Zemlje, pronađena u dubokom ledu, savršeno očuvana, oduzimaju dah, kojima se mahinalno sklanjamo s puta. Svaki od njih je pars pro toto slika jedinstvenog, autentičnog univerzuma čiji je tvorac Đosi Malis.

Exhibition Bendito Machine: Teatime, Wartime Bendito Machine is no doubt one of the most non-conventional animated universes, and the man behind it is the graphic designer, illustrator and animator from Spain, Jossie Malis. Working from his Zumbakamera studio in Palma de Mallorca, he creates this absurd and contradictory world of weird mechanisms, building a complex story full of unexpected turns. With generous amounts of irony and dark humour, Jossie quite lucidly places our civilisation under a magnifying glass, showing how its arrogant demonstration of own supremacy threatens to trigger its self destruction to dust and ashes, in endless repetition of cosmic cycles. The Bendito Machine exhibition features, first and foremost, posters which primarily represent their author as a classy illustrator. The details of these works, including robots, spacecraft, mandalas, and mysterious machines, are at the same time enigmatic and bizarre, threatening, hallucinating and spooky. Resembling mythological creatures, they fill the observer with awe for their hidden powers, while at the same time they revoke images of creatures from the early days of Earth, uncovered perfectly preserved from deep ice, leaving us breathless as we instinctively move out of their way. Each of them is a pars pro toto picture of a unique, authentic universe created by Jossie Malis.

Izložba 50 godina Alana Forda Strip, medij vizuelne naracije i masovne komunikacije, tokom vremena je uobličio svoj jezik i sintaksu nametnuvši se kao autohton, zreo i slojevit oblik umetničkog izražavanja. Malo je stripova koji su se uvukli u sve pore pop kulture jednog društva kao što je to uspelo ALANU FORDU. Generacije su uživale čitajući ovaj karikaturni crno-beli strip, prepoznatljiv po izvanrednom crnom humoru, društveno političkoj, istorijskoj, ali i svakoj drugoj vrsti satire, svakodnevnoj ironiji i sarkazmu, koje su do perfekcije doveli njegovi autori, crtač Magnus (Roberto Raviola) i scenarista Max Banker (Lučano Seki). Povodom 50 godina od izlaska prvog broja Alan Forda u Italiji, organizovali smo izložbu u Srbiji, najpre u Domu kulture „Studentski grad“ u Beogradu, a sada i u Čačku, na festivalu Animanima. Izložba obuhvata skenirane table sa kadrovima iz stripa koji ukazuju na razloge popularnosti Alana Forda na ex-Yu prostorima, od prvog broja do danas. Predstavljeni su karakteristični dijalozi, „štosevi“ koji su zaživeli u svakodnevnoj komunikaciji, univerzalna i britka promišljanja i karakteri ljudi kroz ironičan odnos prema društvenom sistemu, praćeni nadrealističnim stilom, humorom i zlobnim referencama na realnost zapadnog društva. Kurioziteti izložbe su prikaz prve epizode u svim izdanjima iz celog sveta, kao i premijerni prikaz Magnusovih crteža tajnog skrovišta Broja Jedan i plana Cvećare u Šestoj Aveniji u Njujorku. Exhibition 50 Years of Alan Ford Comics as a medium of visual narration and mass communication, has modelled its language and syntax over time, asserting itself as an autochthonous, mature and multi-layered form of artistic expression. Very few comics, however, so overwhelmingly permeated all of the pores of the pop culture of a society as was the case of ALAN FORD. Generations enjoyed reading this caricature black and white strip, recognisable for its extraordinary dark humour, social and political, historic and every other type of satire, everyday irony and sarcasm, perfected by its authors – illustrator Magnus (Roberto Raviola) and the script writer Max Bunker (Luciano Secchi). In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the first edition of Alan Ford in Italy, we have organised a Serbian exhibition, with its premiere at the Students’ City Cultural Centre in Belgrade, and now in Čačak, at the Animanima festival. The exhibition includes scanned pages with panels from the comic which illustrate the reasons for the popularity of Alan Ford in Ex-Yugoslavia, from the very first edition until the present. The exhibition shows the typical dialogues and gags which have become part of everyday parlance, universal and shrewd thoughts and human characters, through an ironic relationship towards the social system, clad in surrealistic style, humour and malicious commentary of the reality of the western society. A curiosity of the exhibition will be the display of the first episode in all the editions from different countries around the world, as well as a premiere show of Magnus’s drawings depicting Number One’s secret hideout and the layout of the Florist Shop on the Sixth Avenue in New York.
