Scenario The mission of studying the Pune Bus System is to uderstand the daily issues and problems faced by the general public, who are regular or occasional passengers and also the exisiting working model of PMPML. In the current scenario there is a lack of proper information regarding various aspects of bus transportation. By redesigning this system we would make public transport related information easily accessible and available to common citizens of Pune city, Pimpri-Chinchwad and surrounding areas. This information is not available easily at one place today, which causes confusion in the mind of passengers and they opt either for their own vehicles or other modes of transports such as auto rickshaw, six-seater etc. We strongly believe that if this gap of information is filled and organized, many people would benefit from it making it easier to travel by buses.

Inside The Bus Pictorgrams: Creating the pictograms that direct passengers towards the ladies seating, seating for handicapped or other Notices which are essential to know while travelling.
Helplline To create a helpline for the PMPML where any passenger could contact and find out any information regarding the Bus timings, route, price etc.
Destination Plates Again the Destination plates kept infront in the Buses facing outside in always in marathi, so there is a need to design such a plate which would incorporate both languages or designing a new system for the same would be needed.
Bus Guide( English Translation) The bus guide which has detailed routes and bus timings of PMPML has been published only in Marathi. It is majorly used by tourists or people who do not belong to the City. It is user firendly and direct in terms of Information but the Bilingual part is missing. Thus an english Translation is required.
Bus Stop Signages Creating the signages that help the passengers to navigate through the Bus Stop and find their exact Platform for a required destination.
Stand To create a structured Bus Stop Design which could incorporate the required information which would aid Passengers in travelling like Route Maps etc.
Route Map To create a proper space in the Bus Stop for the Route Map which everyone could access and easily find out the route and proper time taken by them to reach their destination.

Font Exploration Why These Fonts ? Information is the most important part of a customer and organization system which needs to be understood correctly and easily by every user. The fonts thus explored for the Signages are LEGIBLE, HUMANISTIC, and Readable at all angles. San Serifs follow these properties of Typography, thus these font explorations in English are all San Serifs.
