B orn in Algeria in 1936,

Yves Saint Laurent, who's designs gained notice at the ripe age of 18 while studying fashion design at Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris. During his 56 years in the fashion industry Yves gained recognition as one of the most influential and iconic designers of all time on account of his fashion brand, known today as Saint Laurent. Working under the wing of Christian Dior as a young designer and succeeding him as head designer at Dior after three short years Yves went on to open up a fashion house of his own, known then as Yves Saint Laurent funded by a millionaire from the U.S. Saint BRITTANY BYRD Laurent, along with his then FASHION DIRECTOR partner Pierre Berge birthed a brand that quickly began to rule the world of fashion. Bringing a renewed innovation to fashion not seen since Diors new look, Saint Laurent became the first couturier French brand to present a full prêt-à-porter (ready-to-wear) line, which debuted in the fall of 1966.

Throughout the 1960's and 70's Saint Laurent went on to define the fashion of the decades with trends such as the popularization of the beatnik look in fashion and one of the most acclaimed, tailored tuxedo suits for women, the Le Smoking, The perfect balance of androgyny redefined the rules of women’s garb. Along with the creation of trends the brand also gave room for history to repeat itself, in a sense, with modern touches, bringing into their collections influences from decades past such as the 1920's, 1930's and 1940's.

A lthough backlash and criticism

regarding Yves lifestyle and health brought negative press to the brand YSL thrived throughout the 1980's and 1990's gaining copious amounts of recognition with not only the fashion elite but also the mainstream public. With help from various muses, for ad campaigns and or inspiration, such as London socialite Diane Vandelli in the 1980's and French supermodel Laetitia Castain in the 1990's, who likened her time working with the brand to a love story. During the grunge era of the 1990’s, which took fashion by storm, Saint Laurent played a principle role in the inspiration for many contrasting designers at the time.

K nown today as simply Saint Laurent the fashion brand has still remained at the top of the ranks as far as relevance in the world of fashion. Known as one of the most influential brands, with it came to the juxtapositions of coloring, even with brands such as Prada and Marc Jacobs have credited Saint Laurent in influencing their own collections today.

L iving in a day and age when media and fashion have never worked so closely Saint Laurent sightings are abundant.

Whether it's your favorite celebrity donning Saint Laurent on the red carpet at an award show, pieces from the brand featured in a spread while you flip through a magazine in line at the market or simply the lady behind you in the lines classic Muse bag it is safe to say Saint Laurent in itself is beyond iconic and continues to be legendary. Led now by new creative director Hedi Slimane, who worked for the brand for two years in the late 1990's as collections and art director, Saint Laurent although undergoing reinvention will forever remain iconic.

ROYAL BINION: Sometimes working with a photographer can be a little nerve wrecking, especially when you plan on having them on a rooftop in 90 degree weather for 6 hours. However Royal’s demeanor never swayed, a breeze to work with, and not to mention we got some killer shots for our Blue Monday editorial.

RICKY BENNICK: A new kid on the block at only 25 years young, Bennick with his swift and youthful energy was a breathe of fresh air on set of Bang! ByJohnny Wujek. While Bennick is rather new to styling he has a rather fine-tuned and comprehensive eye that will take him far within the industry.

CONTRIBUTORS CHRISSY AND LISA ZOGALIS: The mighty duo! These two ladies and their infectious smiles on set of not one but two of our editorials this issue was a welcomed addition – not to mention they egg on my twerking, ha. While I still couldn’t tell you which was which, as some of the most professional and speedy makeup artist’s in the area, I’m elated every time they agree to work with me.

STEFANO CHURCHILL: Standing at a brooding 6’1 Stefano’s lightheartedness and playful spirit is truly refreshing. However exuberant he may be when it was time to become the ever so serious Mr. Johnny Depp, Stefano posed with pin perfection. Having a face that seemed to emote almost effortlessly his scenes within our Smells Like Teen Spirit editorial where a definite standout, amongst an already stellar cast.

BRIAN ZIFF: A young photographer with a true passion for music it turns out, who just so happened to take some of the most stunning images I’ve helped produce. Ziff’s use of lighting is definitely one to be envied, along with his ease and laid back attitude made shooting our 54 editorial at the gorgeous Supperclub in Hollywood a magical experience, and I think the images created really capture the experience had.

This style faux pas is slowly slipping out of it’s “under no circumstances” status.

Yep, it’s that time. The final season of AMC’s breakout hit Breaking Bad has commenced with it’s final season. The last 5 years with the meth cooking chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and the lovable local drug dealer Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) has been nothing short of a wild ride.

Now after staking up numerous awards the series is coming to a close. Promoted to be the most drama filled installment yet with White’s DEA brother in law finally knowing the truth, the last 8 episodes are sure to keep us on the edge of our seats.

The queen of the resurgence of the ratchet movement has finally given us a direct lifeline to her killer style once again making her one of the most adored fashion icons of the last decade.

Her new collection for fast fashion retailer River Island is inspired by her athletic street chic style. The collection is predominately black, white, and camouflage, with loud prints, outline bareing midriffs all adorned with her nickname “RiRi” and “G4Life” (Gangsta For Life) - uh duh! it’s riri.

“I want a sexy girl with super short hair and a dynamite self righteous personality”… said no man ever. And yet celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Ciara, Rita Ora, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Beyoncé and women alike seem more and more inclined to chop off their luscious locks in favor of a short doo. Why? Because, women are shedding the traditional shackles that are placed upon a socially perceived view of sex appeal.

With that comes liberation, freedom, and a complete sense of self. A sex appeal too elusive to be contained into a 30 second Garnier Fructis advertisement.

Not letting the locks define you seems to be a fall mantra, and if you’ve got the bone structure then why not take the pledge.

No, Ibiza is not some made up word thrown into party anthems as appropriate syllabic filler. It’s an actual island off the coast of Spain where people (excuse me, sheikhs) will pay €10,000 for a VIP booth at Pacha, the best nightclub in the world, and pour Veen (really expensive water) into spray bottles to wipe the table. The place is loaded with celebrities and the most beautiful Eastern European women you’ve ever seen. Is there really a place like that? Yes, heaven does exist for 5% of Earth’s population. Ibiza has long been touted as the party motherland for the rich and successful playboys of the world, and they’ve sold that dream to everyone… which is why we’re obsessed.

ML: Obviously social media has made a huge impact; it's given people a great platform to have complete creative liberty. It is also great for celebrities to interact directly with their audience.

AM: Why do you think you've survived this industry for such a long time and are still going?

ML: I have a strong work ethic; I try to be as diverse as possible. Great support system. I have been blessed and very lucky.

AM: With your hectic schedule of hosting on" ExtraTV", "One on One" TV show , "On with Mario Lopez" radio show, and returning to X- Factor for the shows third season. How do you maintain such a youthful look and healthy lifestyle?

ML: Thank you, first of all... I think I got lucky with genetics and my lifestyle isn't always so healthy but health and fitness is definitely a top priority in my life.

AM: Can we expect a grand return back to acting anytime soon?

ML:I've never retired, I've just been very busy with hosting, which I love. I'd like to continue to balance both in the future.

High Top haircuts, bold tribal prints, baggy jeans with a mix of athletic wear with jogging jackets, sweats, and trainers from Nike’s Jordan, Adidas, Reebok, and K. Swiss. Trends of its time were based around iconic rappers/hip hop artist during this era; Tupac, Missy Elliot, Notorious B.I.G, TLC, Run DMC, Aaliyah, KC and JoJo, SWV and movies like “South Central” and Poetic Justice.

During this time fashion brands like Cross Colors, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Phat Farm, and FUBU were among the most profitable labels.

In the largest sense the urban 90’s was the first “ratchet movement” popularized of late by current artist like Rihanna, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Drake, Kanye West, and A$AP Rocky and trending on runways and in streetstyle by brands like Joyrich, Givenchy, Dimepiece, and Brian Lichtenberg.

Originating from U.S. street gangs and eventually being adapted by the masses as an expression of rebellion, with the name greaser referring to their slicked back hair. They swore by their 501 Levi’s and leather jackets that were a cause for effortlessness, which made this ultra-macho, look all the more appealing.

The American Greaser was the pitch perfect picture of masculinity and they knew it. The greasers go down in history as being one of the first to don the motorcycle style giving the American birth to the iconic leather motorcycle jacket and harness boots, and are to this day the modern day cowboys riding the asphalt wave without a care in the world but fighting for the man next to you.

Sparked seemingly by the garb of the homeless with old world Japanese infusions of volume and layers, the popularity of the deconstructors came to prominence due to an anti-fashion movement against the over glamorized look of brands like Gucci, Valentino, and Oscar De La Renta. A select few Japanese designers Rei Kawakubo, Yohji Yamamoto, and Junya Watanabe who was Kawakubo’s apprentice in the 80’s led the movement. The premises of deconstruction is that of making a garment looked of the unfinished of tattered nature. AM: When did you consider pursuing acting as career?

MM: My whole life acting was always that dream in the back of my mind that seemed way to far fetched to even take seriously. I played Football my whole life and that was my first love, so acting took a backseat. But, I always have, and to this day, watch a STUPID amount of television and movies (Laughs).

So once football was over I told myself to stop being a coward and just do it! And from that moment it's been on! Believe me, if you have a plan, a hard work ethic and skill to match your courage you can achieve anything!

I just love acting. I still get excited to go to the movies, get a small bag of popcorn, small coke, and just slip away into this pretend world!

Without sounding too corny, it's the only thing that gave me the same feeling football did. The rush, the excitement, the teamwork, the sense of accomplishment. And you can NEVER be the best! You might where the crown one year, but the next could be totally different! You constantly have to work hard, grow and adapt. There's no end! And I love that.

AM: On Graceland you played Joe "Johnny" Tuturro, How much of yourself did you put into your character "Johnnyâ&#x20AC;??

MM: I believe actors ALWAYS put a lot of themselves in their role. No matter how different the character may seem from them personally, there's still something inside them that allows them to go to that place in their mind. All you have to do is be able to relate, the rest will fall into place with hard work. Me and "Johnny" do have a lot in common. We both have a big heart, very loyal and are very sensitive. But, unlike "Johnny", I'm not always laughing and joking. I mean, yes, most of the time I am in a great mood (laughs), life is amazing. But I am very much an introvert. I like to read, write, and just have some good alone time to focus and put things into perspective. So yes "Johnny" and I are very similar and different at the same time.

AM: In what ways do you want your character "Johnny" to evolve, and what's a story line you'd like him to explore?

AM: Baby Daddy is pretty much a runaway success, what'd it feel like returning to set for the second season?

TM: It was amazing and even better returning for the third. Now-a-days shows don't last long especially sitcoms, there aren't even a lot out now so its great to be a part of a hit sitcom…and to have the fans love it in such a big way...such a blessing. Thanks Jesus! LOL AM: How do you feel like your charter Tucker is growing on the show, and would you ever help your best friend raise a child?

TM: I would never let Tucker raise my child no hahaha. He isn't the best baby-sitter…but he is a really great friend and that’s all that matters... he is growing. He is getting over his past relationship and ready to move on. We get to meet his parents in season 3 so that’s going to be interesting. He is growing in his job as well. So yeah he has a lot of layers to him as well.

AM: What was the audition process like for Baby Daddy, and how did you prepare?

TM: It was fairly easy and painless. I was the last character casted for the pilot and met with The producer and director right away.

AM: You found fame at a young age; did you find it harder trying to secure rolls, as you got older?

TM: Not really I gave myself a break in high school and so when I came back it was almost like I was missed which was a great feeling to have. Its all about choosing those right roles as well. I can thank my mother for that who is also my manger. She is a go-getter and a genius when it comes to this business.

AM: You come from a pretty successful family; your sisters are also actresses. Was there ever competition between you guys?

TM: Not at all! I mean we love when the other is working and gets something good. We are family and it’s all about supporting one another, and its not like I'm up for the same roles as them lol.

AM: You decided to step away from acting for a while, what made you make such a decision and do you regret it at all?

TM: I was a huge football guy. I ended up getting a d1 scholarship as well, so I just wanted to focus on that and just be in high school and be a normal student. And I'm so glad I did that. Sometimes its god to step away and take a break and just live life but as you can tell I'm back and it’s so I clear I missed acting. Its what I do!

AM: While you’re a pretty great actor, you are also a talented vocalist. Do you have any plans of ever recording an album or maybe staring in a musical?

TM: YES! Music is super important to me and it’s a passion of mine. I’ll probably get back in the studio to work on some material during out next big hiatus from the show. I want to be able to take my time and really create something unique and different. So a album is definitely coming in the future and I would LOVE to live in NYC for a while and work on a musical. That’s one of my dreams.

AM: What can we catch you doing when you aren't in front of the camera?

TM: Oh you can always catch me dancing or singing...

AM: You were raised in your family’s salon; do you think that shaped your future?

CR: Editorial and Red Carpets are so different yet they both inspire each other. I laugh because I always say, “I want to do it all”! I am lucky that I do get to do it all and what I do editorial wise I translate to the red carpet and vise versa.

CR: I definitely think that being raised in my family’s salon shaped my future. (CONT’D) After I enhance what they feel comfortable with, if they are ready for a change then we go for it. My biggest motto is to really really listen to what your client is asking for not get stuck on what you want.

AM: How’d you get your start in the celebrity realm of hairstyling?

CR: I started by assisting many very well known talented hairstylists who have paved the way for us. I assisted for many years and really took that time to absorb and learn as much as I could. At the same time I worked 7days a week 24hours a day to build myself up. My big first break was when a publicist client (Amanda Silverman) booked me to do her client (Cassie) for GQ magazine.

AM: What man in fashion or Hollywood do you think has the best hair?

CR: Generally I look at male models for great hair. I love Leonardo DiCaprio, always and oddly I think Zac Efron has amazing hair!

AM: You’ve tamed the most famous mane in the world, Beyoncé. What was that experience like?

CR: I love love me some B!! She was honestly one of the most well-mannered kindest celebs I’ve ever worked with. It was very exciting to work with someone I admire. She is fun on and off the set!!

AM: Is there a hairstyling icon that you look up to, and wish to mold your career after?

AM: You are also responsible for the EPICNESS that is Ciara, how do you guys collaborate?

CR: I have many icons. I grew up in this industry learning from the Vidal Sassoon techniques I think he was a genius. I love Oribe for what he’s done with Jlo and many other celebrities. Orlando Pita and his fierce looks on Madonna in the 90’s. Julien D’ys is the most extraordinary and revolutionary fashion and editorial hairstylist. I was lucky to assist him for a bit when I started and I pray to one day be as innovative as he is.

CR: Ciara and I communicate a lot at all hours of the day and night we must be on each other’s speed dial.

Hahaha! She tells me how she is feeling and where she wants to go according to the project we are doing.

I sit and research until I come up with my epiphanies and its usually spot on.

AM: Do you prefer being stationed in a salon or traveling the world with your clients?

CR: I have a love hate relationship with the salon. It’s my roots and the foundation of who I am without it I couldn’t be where I am. Even though now I’m only in the salon 3-4 times a month my salon clients ground me, but traveling the world and creating moments that are recorded in pop culture and fashion history its my dream come true.

AM: Do you approach men and women’s hair the same, or do you have a different eye for both?

CR: Men and women’s hair are totally different so I have to say for the most part I do approach them differently. Ultimately everyone wants something that looks good and makes him or her feel good plus fits their lifestyle.

AM: What are some trends in men’s hair you think are on the horizon, and should have people taking notice?

CR: I think color is still a growing trend in men’s style. When done properly it can be really cool. I loved the super clean retro looks for so long but now I’m thinking it’s about having a classic shape with a messy finish, very British.

AM: You’ve even wrestled with the Jonas Brothers is it easier working on male celebs rather than females?

CR: Technically yes!!! There is just less physical work to do with men. They tend to be more easygoing and less high maintenance. Well at least my male clients have been. The Jonas Brothers are great guys with great natural style so that makes it easy as well.

I have. It’s not luck it’s hard work!

AM: Who are some of the iconic designers you look up to?

CN: Geoffrey Bradfeild AM: So far what’s been one of the proudest moments of your career?

CN: Winning Showhouse Showdown on HGTV AM: From a very young age you were intrigued by so many different professions, how did you finally decide to devote the majority of your time to Interior Design?

CN: My journey becoming an interior designer evolved. As a boy I loved to draw and paint and create custom jewelry and sell it. As I grew up I decided that being an entrepreneur would serve me best for a successful life, thus leaving my art behind.

Many companies later I found myself back in design with graphic with my printing company. I then realized I was an artist before a business man. I then got into doing faux finishing and Vene`tian plaster and started another company. Shortly after that I woke up and had an epiphany that I was meant to not just finish walls in homes but to finish everything in a home!

I sold my companies and started Charles Neal, the company grew exponentially proving that I finally found my place in this world as an artist.

AM: Do you think drive and determination was instilled in you as a young child, or was this something you innately picked up on?

CN: I believe my drive and determination was innate. I knew from the beginning that I was destine to be different and do more than the average person.

AM: What has been some of the best advice you’ve ever received?

CN: My mother told me you get more flies with honey than vinegar. So I get a positive and pleasant attitude no matter how stressful work can get, and it always seams to work out.

AM: What advice would you give to young up and coming designers that wish to make a mark such as yourself?

ANNEX MAN: BROOKLYN 13’

AM: Every successful person has kind of that moment where everything kind of changes and they realize that they are truly on their way, what was that turning point for you in your career.

AM: Is there anything in particular that inspires your design esthetic?

And how would you describe your esthetic?

CN: The baroque era and high fashion inspires me. I also get intrigued with jewelry from all eras. I describe my aesthetic as baroque modern.

CN: After completing Kim Zolciacks home from scratch. I walked through and saw all go my selections that I fought her on throughout the pro- AM: Are there any designer rules of your own cess and realized it was worth it! that you never break?

AM: You seem to honestly love what you do, and obviously are rather good at it. What do you love most about our job?

CN: Never paint walls solid light beige, always start the design with my floors and walls first, the right scale always takes precedents, push for more then you can always pull back.

CN: I love that my job is excited and ever changing. I get to meet the most intriguing interesting people and create new art with there money, could it get any better?

AM: When you were young you started a lemonade stand, what was the namae of that stand?

CN: Lemonade stand was just lemonade 1.25, lol.
