Château de Fontainebleau Château de Fontainebleau is a beautiful, pretty, not crowded place. It has over 1500 rooms and is 130 acres. François I built the Château de Fontainebleau in 1528 CE. It is located 55 kilometers from the center of Paris.

The Château de Fontainebleau was built around a series of courtyards. The Château de Fontainebleau was built in a famous forest for hunting. The Château Forest has a lot of endangered animals. There were many rulers who lived in the Château de Fontainebleau. For example Capetiens, Valois, Bourbons, Bonaparte, and Orleans all stayed there. Napoleon mostly loved it because he named it “house of the centuries” and he refurnished the Château de Fontainebleau in 1804.

Arc de Triomphe
http://media.desura.com/images/gr oups/1/4/3640/arc-‐de-‐triomphe.jpg
Jean Franços Thérès Chalgrin built it in 1806 CE. Napoléon issued the building after his victory in Austerlitz, with his generals names engraved in the Arc. Napoléon died before it was finished in 1836 CE. It has a massive size of 164 feet tall, 148 feet wide, and 72 feet deep.
The Arc de Triomphe is located in Champs-‐ Élysées, Paris.
It is special to France for many reasons: 1. It’s pretty to look at. 2. Its massive size. 3. Its location. 4. It represents soldiers who fought in the Napoleonic and revolutionary war.

France didn’t always own the Arc. In World War II when Germany attacked France, Germany took possession of France in 1940 until the allies won it back in 1944.
The Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles)
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/2228807/Palace-‐of-‐Versailles-‐golden-‐gate-‐restored.html
This wonderful palace started off as a hunting lodge. Louis XIV’s hunting spot was right around the general area of Versailles. This project kicked off in 1623 CE. Soon after this lodge was turned into the residents of the royal family of France. Philibert LeRoy, Louis Le Vau and Jules Hardouin Mansart built this beautiful palace; each had a specific floor to build. This establishment was one of the most expensive things to build in the world Now a day this establishment is a museum open to the public. This great place has many stories to share and things to see many traditions and celebrations. Mirrors were a sign of great wealth in France and not only did the palace have mirrors it had a whole hall of mirrors! !

FUN FACTS! There were 4 other people who made alterations to the palace. • There are different rooms for each Roman god. • It was a house for royalty for more than 100 years. • André Le Nôtre was the man who arranges statues vases and the fountains in the Palace. •

12/18/13 Sacre Coeur Michael DeMercurio
The Sacre Coeur was a monumental cathedral that is higher than the tip of the Eiffel Tower due to the fact that is on top of a big hill. It was started in 1876 in the beautiful town of Montmartre, from the 18th arrondissement. A man named Paul Abadie who had made two other cathedrals created the Project of building it.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/99/Paris_SacreCoeur.JPG
The Sacre Coeur is made out of very white bricks that can be attributed from the blocks from the Chateau Landon. This is the top view from the Sacre Coeur and this person in technically standing higher than the Eiffel Tower and he can thank Lucein Magne who took Charge after Abadie had died in 1884. This picture to the right is the inside of the Sacre Coeur. It was comfirmed as the Basilica Project which was finished in 1914 when people could be allowed in. Inside is very beautiful and has icons of Mary and Christ
Jardin Du Luxembourg By Hannah Feinberg

v The Jardin du Luxembourg is 65 acres and is known for its fountains, sculptures, ponds, flowerbeds and more.
v The inspiration for the park was from the Boboli garden at the Pitti Palace. v Architect Salomon de Brosse also built it. v The duke of Luxembourg originally owned it. v There is a bronze replica of the state of Liberty, which was built in 1861. v The original park was built at 6e Arrondissement, 75006 Paris, France in 1625. However, it didn’t reach its current look until 1790. v The palace there was used as a prison in 1794 during the French Revolution. v The park is the garden of the French Senate, which is housed in the Palais du Luxembourg.
Centre Georges Pompidou It was built from 1971-1977. It took about 6 years and completed on January 31st of 1977. GTMtm builders literally made it but there were 3 architects involved. Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers, and Gianfranco Franchini. You can find it at 19 Rue Beaubourg Paris, France. In past years some very well known and famous artists have had their art featured there. The Building it’s self is like a modern art piece, which fits because the Centre Georges Pompidou is a modern art museum. It really stands out in the sometimes “gray city” because it is colorful. It’s also 7 stories high. Some very interesting pieces are housed there. So why not consider giving this place a visit, because it’s definitely worth it!

The Moulin Rouge was burnt down. Everybody was devastated because everybody loved the dance hall. All people that were working to rebuild it had to work fast. When the Moulin Rouge was complete it was bigger and better than before.
