Military Family Life Consultants are licensed clinical social workers or psychologists. They are here to help soldiers and families work through issues related to living in a military environment. Consultations are free and anonymous, and no records are kept. Military and Family Life Consultants work with individuals, couples and groups. Some services include but are not limited to: Family Advocacy Program (FAP) The Army FAP is committed to preventing domestic violence and child abuse and neglect by providing a variety of services to strengthen Army Families and enhance resiliency.
New Parent Support Program (NPSP) Provides professional social workers and nurses who offer supportive and caring services to military Families with children from birth to three years of age. Through a variety of programs including home visits and parenting classes, the NPSP provides opportunities to learn to cope with stress, isolation, post-deployment, reunions, and the everyday demands of parenthood.
Prevention Education Promotes community support and encourages early referral. Components include: Commander Education; Troop Education; Education for Professionals; Parent Education and Support; Safety Education (protecting children, listening to and talking to children and child abuse prevention techniques; and a variety of safety related topics (bullying and exploitation) geared towards children; Spouse Abuse Prevention; Victim Advocacy Services and Family Life Education.
Relocation Readiness Program Relocation Readiness assistance provided to Soldiers and Families to help reduce or eliminate problems arising due to frequent moves.
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) A mandatory enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, educational, medical, personnel, and respite care services to Families with special needs.

Babysitter Training Workshops Workshop designed to equip teens, 13 years and older, with the knowledge and skills to babysit in the community. CPR and First Aid offered.

Parent Participation Program An incentive program designed to benefit everyone. Parent’s can earn a 10% fee reduction for volunteering in a CYS Services program for a minimum of 10 hours.
