LibertĂŠ Speciosissima Written & Illustrated By:
Antony Fenhas
LibertĂŠ
Speciosissima,
Tall,
slender
with poisonous leaves, It grows with dignity, but falls with a scream. The balance of power will keep it upright, So long the wind blows from either side. The
years
are
many,
where
man
would let it grow, But the day will come
when
he
shows
his
force.
A drop of its juice could kill a hundred men,
But the beauty of its leaf, could cure a thousand more.
The day will come where many will f ight, for some see it’s beauty, others its bite.
One side will win, and you will come tear it down, you might take it’s life, but leave the roots in the ground. You will wonder and ask, but deep down you knew, that you need it, as much as it needs you.
