MAKE A FATHER’S DAY CAR WASH KIT
Brought To You By Walmart Tire & Lube Express Does your dad treat his car like a member of the family? This summer, make a Father’s Day car wash kit to spoil Dad and his beloved vehicle. This project is fast, simple, and easy for children to help assemble. Adult supervision required. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: • A 5-gallon bucket • Car wax • A bottle of car shampoo • Tire and rim brightener • Car interior cleaning wipes • A car air freshener
• A buffing cloth • Tissue paper • Tape • A ribbon • A Father’s Day card
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Head to Dad’s favorite automotive supply store. Visit the aisle with car washing products. Pick out five to six car care items to place in the Father’s Day car wash kit. Browse a mixture of interior and exterior car cleaning products.
2. Choose from car wax, a bottle of car shampoo, tire and rim
brightener, car interior cleaning wipes, and car air fresheners. Ask the sales associates for recommendations and to see the newest products.
3. Fill a 5-gallon bucket with the car care supplies. Start by neat-
ly folding buffing cloths or other bulky items in the bottom of the bucket. Then, top these items with bottles and packaged products. Children can carefully wrap each item with tissue paper, or they can leave the goodies unwrapped.
4.
Tie a colorful ribbon on the handle of the 5-gallon bucket. Then, sign, seal, and tuck a Father’s Day card in the bucket. Present Dad with the car wash kit during a Father’s Day celebration, or tuck the bucket in the garage for him to find as a surprise. Spirit of the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary was founded in 1999 by its Director, Michael Welchynski, to provide a permanent home for unwanted, neglected and abused animals.
Located in the northern Black Hills of South Dakota, the Sanctuary sits on 200 acres of rocky, forested terrain. It is currently home to over 300 animals of 40 different species. Coming to the Sanctuary from South Dakota and its five neighboring states, many of the residents at the Sanctuary were injured or orphaned in the wild (at the hands of people) or have been rescued from illegal breeding operations, fur farms, irresponsible “pet” owners and the entertainment industry. The Sanctuary provides a lifelong home for these animals, free from further abuse and exploitation. At this time, w taking any ex e are not otic animals. We will help place domestic pets.
