Gillette, Wyoming – Lies about unsubstantiated threats were circulated by politically-charged media outlets locally, nationally, and internationally. Then a church was vandalized and a wheelchair bound local pastor was asked on email: “ Do we need to start sending you death threats as well? ” How did this happen in all-American Gillette, Wyoming? Campbell County Public Library (CCPL) circulates LGBTQIAP+ propaganda. June 2021’s “Rainbow Month” included pro-LGBTQIAP+ materials aimed at teens, and visibly promoted in the nearly hidden basement “teen section” as well as the library’s website under Teen Blogs, This material was so off base ad perverted that it prompted concerned citizens to attend a Campbell County Commissioners’ board meeting Wednesday, July 7th, 2021. The Commissioners were 3 out of 5 on the side of tax money for perversion. Please note, the library board this smut slipped past serves at the Commissioners whim. Local pastor Scott Clem opened in prayer. Concerned citizen Susan Sisti brought a stack of LGBTQIAP+ propaganda acquired from CCPL from the ALA (American Library Association) “Rainbow Book List” on CCPL’s website. CCPL inventory titles Susan highlighted include: Gay Bar: Why We Went Out The Babysitter’s Coven A Quick And Easy Guide To Queer And Trans Identities All Out: The No-Longer Secret Stories Of Queer Teens Throughout The Ages None of the Above Music From Another World
This stuff is STILL on the CCPL website! How is that NOT targeting our children? ALA’s website introduces suggested 2021 LGBTQIAP+ literature with this: “The Rainbow Book List, now in its 14th year, is an annual annotated bibliography consisting of quality LGBTQIA+ literature intended for readers from birth to age 18. This resource guide is meant to assist librarians, educators, parents, and others to ensure that everyone from babies and children to tweens and teens have access to selecting quality books with significant content regarding inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and all that extends throughout the Rainbow spectrum.” At the meeting, citizen Hugh Bennett noted that recent events were contrary to local morals. This author spoke next, pointing out such indoctrination would lead to transsexuals booked by the library to perform for children--as has happened in Houston, Texas and elsewhere. CCPL Director Terri Lesley made no mention of the transexual entertainer already scheduled within a week of the meeting of the commissioners at which she spoke which begs the question, – Why didn’t Terri Lesley say anything when she saw the outrage at the meeting? Concerned citizens only learned of Mikayla Oz’ upcoming CCPL booking independently after the meeting. It was a shock that the prophetic statement was fulfilled nearly immediately. As Oz’ credentials were explored, a YouTube video surfaced of Mr. Oz cavorting about in underwear. Bear in mind, Mr. Oz identifies and dresses like a woman. Concerned citizens were not pleased. Oz was booked for “school age kids” and “just for teens” Sunday, 7/11/2021, citizens met to discuss protesting. Emails were sent to county commissioners. Legal, peaceful civility was encouraged. Tuesday morning, citizens met with police so Wednesday’s protest would be safeguarded by law enforcement. Tuesday afternoon, Terri Lesley issued a public statement alluding to “threats” against library staff, and against Oz. Around then, Oz cancelled his show. publications were released indicating “threats” made performance untenable for Oz. The singular “threat” Terri Lesley quoted to County 17 was: “...[an unidentified man] said there had been a parent meeting and that he was upset and that we should close the library because it wasn’t safe to be there.” Oz told reporters: “Essentially, they said ‘you better not f—- come to Gillette. If you do, there’ll be issues,” and indicated one email. According to national, international, and local publications, those weren’t only violent threats, but death threats— so says The Advocate, Sheridan Media, LGBTQ Nation, and Britain’s The Mirror. Meanwhile, Wednesday’s actual protest was legal and peaceful. There were counter-protestors and many vehicles honking in approval of the group (25 to 30 in total).Wednesday or Thursday night Central Baptist Church where Scott Clem serves was vandalized. Rainbows and slogans like “trans lives matter” were drawn on the walls. On 7/18/2021, three policemen visited Central Baptist Church to moderate a rumored protest from LGBTQIAP+ groups. The group was a no show and protest did not happen. Instead, a dozen or more people from different denominations attended in solidarity with pastor Clem; among them myself. In fact, several even attended from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Concerned citizens made no actual threats of violence or death. Nor did they vandalize. I spoke with police at Central Baptist Church Sunday. They knew of no death threats against Mikayla Oz. You Can Protect Your Community County 17 reported 86.76% of registered Campbell County voters in 2020 chose Trump. Obviously, community residents don’t want taxpayer dollars
spent endangering children in this way. Libraries should be safe. Parents have enough to worry about. Yet the LGBTQIAP+ community has an agenda, and ruthlessly proselytizes. If such events happen in Gillette, Wyoming, what about your community? In Campbell County, indoctrination was curbed - slightly, and no thanks to the majority of seated Campbell County Commisioners. Perhaps consider this episode a positive example of what to do, and what to watch out for, in protecting our youngest most vulnerable citizens. In conclusion, You can make a difference. We have and will continue to do so in Gillette, WY.
