Elitism is the opposite of servant leadership. Elitists are convinced that they have arrived and have done so because of their own “superior intelligence, compassion, and intuition.” They believe that others have not seen the same level of success only because they lack the intelligence, compassion, and intuition to do so. The elitists believe that their own compassion leads them to make “good” decisions for the “less capable,” better known as the rest of us. A servant leader approaches his or her task of leading with humility. This humility leads to the goals and objectives being designed to meet the needs of those being led. When the needs of the people are assumed to be known by the people themselves leaders can humbly approach the objective. Servant leaders are convinced that they are no better than, or even that they are less capable than, those they lead. They choose to lead because there is simply a need for leadership and someone must do it to ensure that things get done. For those of us here in Gillette, Wyoming, the idea of elitists leading us seems foreign. My neighbors are so similar in economic success, work ethic, and attitude that it seems ridiculous that any one of us should feel the need to tell the rest of us how to live. That is an illusion. If you look at the majority of those serving in leadership in this town, you will see that the majority are unwilling to listen to the masses. They are elitists. ● We have a mayor who believes that she can better decide on

Hard to believe that is true when they and their spouses state, “you have to earn your right to free speech,” or “you don’t have a brain or a heart.” ● In this county we have two commissioners who think that the majority of us support spending our tax dollars on other people’s ideas of birth control. Not to mention that most of us believe that their “birth control” is tantamount to murder. ● We have a state legislator and two state senators (and one “lame duck” legislator and one “lame duck” senator) who pretend to be republicans so that they can remain in office while their voting record is predominantly anti-republican platform. ● We have a governor who’s Covid-19 response more closely resembles Colorado than South Dakota. It is encouraging to see both young and old coming to the realization that who our leaders are is important. If the recent primary turnout and votes tallies were any indication, people are waking up to the importance of selecting leaders who more closely represent “servant leaders” and voting out the elitists. Let’s stay vigilant and keep this state conservative and just to preserve a good future for our unborn, our offspring and ourselves!

Steering a Ship of State Two diminishing talents – analysis and leadership—are manifested in how liberals incorrectly deal with issues in our country. Imagine a control panel on the bridge of a craft moving through space. The controls affecting all aspects of the ship are joysticks that the pilot can point in any direction and push down as far as he wants, but also move to any part of the panel he wishes. In this way, politicians decide what issues should get the most focus, and what that focus should be. The joysticks guide the hypothetical ship just as analysis, focus and the proper position on issues guide a ship of state. The liberal ship’s piloting can be demonstrated in four areas: 1. Direction. Liberal leaders get most issues wrong. On the imagined ship, their joysticks tend to point in the wrong directions. This may be because someone in life hurt them or they decided to reject Judeo-Christian values. Perhaps their parents were absent or ignored them, harming their sense of self worth. Whatever caused their lunacy, the result explains why smart-sounding people can be so brain-dead when it comes to policies affecting liberally-controlled cities and states. For example, liberals oppose the death penalty for murderous criminals, but ardently support the killing of innocent, unborn babies. Many leftists are now screaming for police to be eliminated, as they preach to us that the murderous mobs destroying our cities are somehow “mostly peaceful.” The list of liberals’ wrong stances goes on and could be covered at length, but on our hypothetical ship, the joysticks point in the wrong directions. 2. Thrust or magnitude is how far

the joystick is pushed down, and is analogous to the degree, quantity, and volume of resources spent focusing on issues. Liberals will spend an inordinate amount of time and energy straining at gnat-sized, molehill issues, while ignoring or paying only lip-service to important ones that affect real, average, everyday, hard-working
Americans. This shows a fundamental inability to analyze things properly, which most learn how to do in non-liberal schools. Examples include the uproar over a few meaningless ads Russia put online during the 2016 election, representing less than 1% of all online ad funding, which had zero effect on the election. Issues like these are magnified out of all proportion by modern “liberals”. Around 5-10 unarmed black shootings by police per year result in black deaths, but most victims were committing crimes and most of the shootings were proven to be justified, and there
was no racial motive Nevertheless, liberals keep these joysticks pressed all the way down, with the turbo-button pushed, completely missing the fact that their points are wrong. 3. Focus/Priority. What issues do liberal “leaders” choose to highlight and focus attention on? Imagine that the control panel on our hypothetical ship’s bridge is separated into sections. Some, such as life support, navigation, and propulsion, are more
important than others, like music, dessert toppings, and mood lighting. Liberals, especially in the press, will fail to analyze issues properly, either out of ignorance, or a desire to distract. As of this writing, NPR’s most popular topics include the alleged racism of the ice cream truck melody “Turkey in the Straw” and how goats can eat poison ivy. Rather than acknowledge the tragedy of our cities’ burning down, our liberal bridge’s control panel, already full of joysticks pointing the wrong way and pushed down at the incorrect amounts, is also inundated with irrelevant joysticks all over the unimportant areas of the panel, while the truly important areas of the panel have few if any joysticks—most of them untouched. 4. Timing/Timeliness. Imagine that our hypothetical bridge could have a video taken of it over time, as the ship moves through space. Topics of interest affecting a country also change over time. What would we learn from such a video? We would see controls frantically being placed incorrectly and pushed to avoid an asteroid that had passed by six weeks prior. We would find that all the mismanaged issues resulting

from the pilot’s faulty instincts have been happening consistently over time as well. In 2015-2016, the national focus should have been on rescuing our economy and stemming the tide of illegal immigration. Liberals wanted to focus on Trump’s alleged racism and climate change instead. In 2020, the important issues should be how to get America through the pandemic and functioning as soon as possible, as well as how to get left-wing, anarchist hoodlums to stop burning, looting, and murdering in our cities. Instead, liberals want their joysticks focused on income inequality and other grievance warrior issues. They ignore the fact that laws have been in place preventing discrimination for decades. They beat a worn-out drum insisting that Trump stole the election or is to blame for the pandemic coming out of China 9 months ago, rather than how best to get the virus treated and cured now. Most sinister of all, they will make sure Americans are prevented access to highly effective prophylactic treatments such as Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin just because they suddenly see election benefit if they can figure out how to artificially prolong the COVID crisis. Few will recall that the Democrats immediately criticized Trump, calling him xenophobic, when he decided to ignore experts, follow his gut, and restrict travel from China in the early days of the China virus. This tells us that if Democrats had been in charge, they would have allowed travel from China to continue, making our infections and death toll much worse, similar to Obama’s opening of our southern border to Central Americans who brought Tuberculosis and other once-eliminated diseases back into our country. An “open borders” Democrat president would have exposed our country to much worse infection rates and death than Trump did, yet some radicals even claim Trump caused the virus himself! My most rueful example of getting focus and timing wrong comes from a highly placed liberal government official with whom I once served overseas. At the height of the ANTIFA and BLM rioting in July 2020, he posted on social media that America should focus its attention on a little-known, right-wing fringe group called QAnon, which the FBI thought might become dangerous some day. He said not a peep about the billions in riot damage, the destruction of black livelihoods, or the mayhem by leftists actually going on right then. I expect the joystick for QAnon will be pushed down further in the election run-up as liberals seek to distract attention from the elephant in the room. As a result of liberals’ constantly getting focus and timing wrong, a film

clip of their bridge would show that the ship’s control panel is not just all wrong now, but has been steering the ship on incorrect headings for years. The left-wing mainstream media is the worst when it comes to direction, magnitude and focus of issues, which we see every night on the news. Hollywood botches timing by making films that miss important issues of the day while stirring the pot on issues that have been resolved for decades. Why were the films “North Country” and “Selma” made in 2005 and 2014, when workplace harassment that took place in 1984 had long been over, and 1965’s racial struggles had already been resolved through civil rights legislation passed in 1964? Where is the focus on black cities being destroyed and bankrupted by liberal, Democrat policies every day? Imagine the courses of two different ships run by a liberal and a conservative pilot. Aboard the Conservative bridge, the controls would be placed mostly in the right areas, pointing mostly in the right directions, and pressed down just about the right amount, keeping the ship on a good, stable trajectory. Sometimes the pilot might miss a thing or two, such as siding with big tobacco or claiming Kamala Harris might not legally become president. These relatively small issues aside, most of the time the conservatives ship stays on the right course. On the bridge of the liberal ship, instead of intelligent adults at the helm we would see petulant cry babies throwing tantrums on the floor, manufacturing ways to impeach a “Captain” they didn’t like or claiming that systemic racism causes more black deaths than abortion and inner-city crime. Their controls would be placed in the wrong areas of the panel, pointed in all the wrong directions, pressed down in the wrong amplitudes, and consistently mismanaged. The liberal ship careens out of control through space with no logical direction, other than towards chaos. This analogy should help with the understanding of how political leaders’ issue selection, analysis, focus, and policy positions serve to guide a populace in the right or wrong direction. Will our ship of state be guided over a proverbial waterfall or into an asteroid field (thanks to a liberal pilot), or to a healthy place filled with security and prosperity thanks to a conservative one? My kids grasp which leadership style will steer America along the right course. Why can’t more voting adults? There is nothing I dread so much as the division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our constitution. – John Adams

What Makes Sense!

I believe that we used the wrong models for our state. South Dakota and Sweden had a much more balanced approach and they will recover faster and have fewer people impacted negatively by the virus. As a legislator I would support opening our schools in the fall while protecting the most vulnerable amongst us from any unnecessary harm. Both can be accomplished since we know from current data that children are nearly impervious to the virus. I do not support a government mandated mask requirement. Masks are ineffective and both the public and the medical professionals know this. If masks were effective then we should have never shut down our economy. If masks are effective then we should be able to visit our loved ones in nursing homes who so deeply need our companionship. If masks were effective then prisoners should never have been released from prison due to the virus. The State’s Department of Health is an advisor to the elected officials responsible for our safety and security. The governor must not defer his decision making responsibilities to that of an unelected official. Medical expert consultation is important to making a well informed decision. Decision makers must look at the entire universe of impacts any threat to our way of life might present. By “universe of impacts,” I mean things like financial ruin, health issues brought on by isolation like depression which leads to suicide, and an economy which will be very sluggish to recover due to the government’s act of giving repeated handouts while at same time denying “we the people” the rights guaranteed in the constitution to the use of our own property. Soft Tyranny Is Here, and Has Been – Jefferson Proved Right by Kevin Bennett There’s a quote kicking around you’ve probably heard, and it goes like this: “A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take away everything that you have.” This quote is attributed to Thomas Jefferson. A little research reveals that the quote was actually made sometime around 1953 and attributed to Jefferson. At least according to the internet—you can’t trust any website these days; everybody’s got an agenda, and chief among such agendas is the leftist mandate of rewriting history—ostensibly, to cover their own backsides for all the Luciferian shenaniganery they’re guilty of, but I digress. The point is, It’s hard to tell what true history is. However, there’s a way to confirm at least the sentiment behind this phrase. Jefferson’s writings indicate he definitely believed the spirit of that quote, and he wrote many things to that effect during his life. Accordingly, he is vindicated by a modern world where just the dystopia he foresaw, and sought to prevent, has gradually manifested. Since the Civil War, the checks and balances of the constitution have been gradually taken away from Americans until more than 10% of the country pay more than 50% of their paycheck directly to the government owing to tyrannical taxation—I’m looking at you, New York and California. You realize The Revolutionary War was fought over 3% taxation? Yet in California, owing to COVID-19, they retroactively increased taxes to 54%? That’s 51% higher than the tax rate from Britain that America fought a war over. So the question becomes: why do we pay such high taxes, When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe. – Thomas Jefferson
and how did we get here? The latter answers the former. Gradually, over time, government has been increased at the hands of charlatans instituting impositions on our civil liberties by degrees. The concept of income tax was
supposed to be a temporary wartime measure around the time of World War One. Well, that ended over a century ago. Call me old fashioned, but I don’t think something that sticks around for over a century is even within the ballpark of “temporary”. So taxes ramped up. Then as The Great Depression hit—something arguably synthetic, owing to poor leadership in financial sectors, and subsequent fallout like “the dustbowl”—social programs became en vogue. FDR had a “New Deal” that ended up being softcore socialism, and honestly, it did a lot more harm than good in the fullness of time. It ultimately lead to the creation of many government agencies funded on your taxpayer dime, and mostly unnecessary. When such agencies aren’t unnecessary, at the very least, they impose horrible conditions on the American people. Take the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms department, or the ATF. You may remember Waco Texas, but did you know about Randy Weaver? Enlighten the people generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like evil spirits at the dawn of day. – Thomas Jefferson
Waco, Texas was when a religious fundamentalist who used spirituality as a means of advancing his own sensual proclivities started accumulating firearms. A siege resulted, the ATF burned out that particular “church”, and many innocent women and children died as a result. It was a huge, totally unnecessary tragedy that only happened as a result of a tyrannical government that had become that way over many decades of gradual rights erosion. But prior Waco, there was the atrocity committed on Randy Weaver of Naples, Idaho. The government thought Weaver was a white supremacist. They interviewed him to see if he was part of “The Aryan Nations”, and he denied it flatly. They tried to pressure him into being a mole for the government against The Aryan Nations by alleging he broke the law by possessing illegal

As I stated in my announcement interview with the Gillette News Record, I believe the Republican Party is somewhat torn in Campbell County. This “tear” is a result of Wyoming being a one-party state and Campbell County a one-party county. I am pleased to live in a part of the country where the majority of the people think like I do, that being a desire for the things listed in the Republican Party Platform. Conservative things like small and fiscally responsible government, liberty for individuals that comes with personal responsibility (in other words, the government stays out of your business), and a respect for life and the family values that have made America the greatest nation in human history. Unfortunately, the few people who prefer a more moderate or liberal point of view have no party to represent them and far too often those people are more interested in serving in government office than the rest of us. That has led to many moderates and liberals who disagree with some planks of the Republican platform changing to the Republican party so that they can have a say in our political process. That in turn has led to several politicians representing themselves as Republicans while actually governing as moderates or liberals. That in turn has frustrated the grass roots public who far too often believes that if there is an “R” by their name, they think like we do. This is the crux of the “tear” in the Republican party in Wyoming. There is no easy answer for this dilemma other than voters doing more research into the “Republicans” that they vote for. Should they fail to do so, we should not be surprised that the State continues to become more and more left-leaning in its governance.
