I was astonished the other day when ƐŽŵĞŽŶĞ ŵĞŶƟŽŶĞĚ ƚŚĂƚ ƚŚĞƌĞ ǁĞƌĞ ŽŶůLJ ĞŝŐŚƚ ǁĞĞŬƐ ŽĨ ƐĐŚŽŽů ůĞŌ ŝŶ ƚŚŝƐ ƐĐŚŽŽů year. There is so much to do, but as usual, it will all take place. There are a number of events that are coming up in ES you will want to make certain are on your calendar.

First is our annual Book Exchange. We know reading is a vital part of our program here at APIS. Our book exchange is an opportunity for our students to recycle those books they are no longer reading and exchange them for books they have not read yet. During the Week of April 23rd – 27th, students can donate books in ƚŚĞ ƐĐŚŽŽů ůŽďďLJ ďĞĨŽƌĞ ĂŶĚ ĂŌĞƌ ƐĐŚŽŽů͘ For each book donated, they will receive a credit and be able to use those credits on May 3rd to purchase books donated by other students. Our annual ES Talent Show will take place on Friday May 11th from 2pm. There are twenty-four spots for students to sign up for. Sign up will take place between DŽŶĚĂLJ Ɖƌŝů ϮϯƌĚ ĂŶĚ &ƌŝĚĂLJ Ɖƌŝů ϮϳƚŚ ďĞĨŽƌĞ Žƌ ĂŌĞƌ ƐĐŚŽŽů ŝŶ DƐ͘ WĂƌŬƐ Grade One room. On the other hand, when children believe they can develop their intelligence (i.e., the growth mindset), they focus on doing just that.
