student housing critic: Dave Pigram
There is common issue with student housing. How do students deal with the social and spacial elements throughout the designed space. The initial resolution in the design of this building was addressing flexibility of spaces and implementation of natural light. Also, incorporation of outdoor terrace spaces, transparency and court yards allows the students to connect with each other both within and outside the building.

Bowery Public Library Critic: Erika Hinrichs
The Bowery Public Library was conceived out of the concept of “part to whole. With an aggregation of spacial modules, program was established allowing a fluid transition of public and private. In addition, there was an in depth analysis of stable and instable spaces that was applied to both the technical and organizationally. Thus a library was conceived out of a controlled flow of people which is a direct correlation to the urban context of Chinatown, NY.

emergent cube Critic: Adam Dayem
This project was an introduction to the module, emergent design and tectonic relationships. By studying and diagraming the movements of “tricking a physical understanding began to emerge. The modules evolved out of the three most active body joints in the performance. A three_D model was created and involved interlocking by joined modules. A 9x9 cube resulted out of the study. Architecture was defined by both the tectonic relationships of the modules as well as the void (space) created through the connected pieces.
