Newsflash ALTOS R WINES TAKE 10 MEDALS AT THE WORLD’S TOP COMPETITIONS Altos R Blanco continues to receive praise and awards vintage after vintage. At this year’s Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the International Wine Challenge in London our Viura and Malvasia blend from the 2012 vintage was awarded a Silver Medal and Bronze at Decanter Awards. The judges’ tasting notes say it is “a fresh and grapey wine with honeysuckle ripeness on the nose. Crisp acidity with a tasty apple tarte tatin character. Good balance and length with a lovely body”.
Its bigger brother, Altos R Pigeage 2009, a classy, modern blend of Tempranillo and Graciano took Gold at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and Silver at Decanter World Awards, two of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world. Other Altos R wines that received medals were: Altos R Tempranillo 2011 (Silver at CMB, Bronze at IWC); Altos R Tempranillo 2010 (Bronze at IWC); Altos R Crianza 2010 (Bronze at IWC) and Altos R Reserva 2005 (Bronze at IWC)
