Neal Martin votes Luis Cañas Crianza 2009 as Best Value Red of the Year
Neal Martin, Spain’s wine critic for The Wine Advocate, has voted Luis Cañas Rioja Crianza 2009 as the year’s Best Value Red Wine. It is not the first time that Robert Parker’s wine expert rates Luis Cañas Crianza highly; he gave it 92 points in his last review of Rioja wines and praised its “polished bouquet, fine tannins, good acidity and impressive structure”. Luis Cañas Crianza, produced in Spain’s Rioja Alavesa, is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha aged for 12 months in French and American oak.
