Introduction The Design Studio 03 ARK450 is a fundamental study of relationships between ideas and architectural form and space, order and principles, visual perception, design elements, colour and lights. In this course students attend weekly lectures and studios where they have the opportunity to present and discuss work in development and completion. Principles are developed through assigned architectural design projects. It allows students to develop their ideas through experimentation with a wide range of media and opens pathways towards a variety of creative disciplines from graphic, sketches, mix-media art to architecture. The agenda introduce students to architectural design, critical thinking and experimental ways of working.

Fishing Platform Dragonfly in the habitat. The morphology of dragonfly derived and matched with the nature. The structure can be fllat packed and ease to transport with lightweight material of fiberglass. The whole body structure is floating on four buoys which placed around the structure and fixed to its ‘buoyarms’. The installation is easy-dismantling with simple connection system. Because of its floating feature, the structure is a portable platform for fishing where together with flat-pack function, it can be placed anywhere and anytime on the water.

Introduction The Design Studio 04 ARK480 course has emphasis on the theories and application on fundamental principles of proportions and organisation of functional spaces. Students will specifically be taught on anthropometrics, scale, architectural function, form & space, spatial organisation and design concepts.

the yacht house Design Strategy Retreat house is a place to enjoy the holiday. For the sake of enjoyable moment, the design of the house considered the tendency of the client, Rogers which is a fashion designer yet enjoying sailing and cycling. He enjoy adventurous activities. The design is to provide an environment of sailing where the house is inspired by the compartment and shape of the boat. It have a minimum space with different level of platform between its space. To enhance the sailing feel, the sail feature merge into the house character as shading devices. The client can experience a sailing mode at an open platform which located by side of the sail. For his passion with fashion design, the room is on lower deck as working space which can be an open space with lots of opening.

Its domain includes writing, art, design, theater, television, radio, motion pictures, related crafts, as well as marketing, strategy, scientific research and development, product development, engineering, built environment, and more. Introduction Students are to design an early chilhood development center (ECDC). The site is in an urban setting situated in an administrative district.The majority population of this area is working people. Students are to design ECDC for the worker’s children, as most of the worker are working family. Therefore the need of ECDCs are more crucial as this would help the parents to send their childerens closer to their work places.

Introduction The task is to design a low density, sustainable housing in Putra Heights. This shall be gated and guarded community, with service and facilities. The residents shall be affluent professional who are accustomed to luxury and convenience. Privacy, safety and security give the added value of the development. The success of a residential development relies on community growth and synergy. The design and programme must be able to promote community interaction and various activities. A design strategy is needed to be able to accommodate and adapt to the changing needs of the residents.

Introduction The course require students to design a building of medium complexity that represents public architecture and identify design problems/constraints that require integrated solutions. Students will work as independently as possible from the formulation of design brief and physical requirement, building image, technology and sustainability will also be considered, leading to the production of Design Drawings and Technical Drawings with specific details/technical studies of the completed design.
