The side benefits of this design are many. Choose this option for your helmet of choice –the Pro Shade is compatible with all VAS shield-equipped helmets. Look through a clear visor while still reducing ambient light. When down, it blocks the majority of bright daylight while still being able to view your gauges through a clear visor. In the up position, it blocks street light and oncoming traffic glare at night.

Hands off! The Pro Shade provides reduction of ambient light, while allowing you to look through your clear visor, and with a quick dip of your head sudden bursts of light or glare can be dealt with without ever taking your hands off the bars!

PRO SHADE SYSTEM The VAS Pro Shade System can be purchased either as a complete system, with the standard (80mm tall) Dark Smoke external lens installed, or just the Pro Shade Ready base visor with the pivot mechanism to allow you to purchase your external lens of choice (sold separately).

Peripheral Belt construction born from F1 technology. The PB shell features technology developed in the highest level of racing in the world: F1. The shell is constructed from the layering of many materials with proprietary adhesives which allow for a larger eye port. Protection is further enhanced by the Super Fiber Belt that strengthens the shell like the bands of a barrel. This distinct belt resists the widening of cracks encountered in an impact while evolving our most advanced shell in strength, weight, and protection.

Arai’s Multi-Density Liner manufacturing technique allows us to fine tune protection: This one piece EPS liner is tuned to address different levels of impact energy with the most effective densities positioned as needed throughout the entire liner to provide maximum protection.

This ideal multi-density one piece liner is made by only one company in the world: Arai.

Facial Contour System

Pulling air from inside of the helmet with advanced ducting connected to additional exhaust ports.

To further enhance internal airflow, air channels originally designed for the RX-7V were borrowed and updated and connected to new exhaust ports on the chin bar. This increased airflow reduces fogging potential and increases rider comfort.

Mouth vent equipped with internal shutter mechanism: To enhance the strong shell design, the open-close shutters are placed inside of the helmet. Air can flow over the mouth for a demist function by opening and closing these shutters.

Dual Function Duct: When open, air flows freely into the helmet.

When closed, the Duct prevents air from entering and functions as an exhaust duct, allowing hot air to be pulled from the helmet interior.

Rear Duct: The upper rear duct has three vent holes controlled by a single sliding gate. When open, air is pulled from the helmet interior.

Additional side and neckroll exhaust ports keep the back of the head comfortable by removing hot air as well.

Interior: Featuring our antimicrobial material, using a low acidic fabric to help maintain a balanced pH level with the skin. It is also odor resistant helping the helmet stay fresher, longer in between cleanings.

Fixed Chin Curtain: Larger and helps to block out wind noise and control airflow efficiency under the helmet by creating a low-pressure zone in the mouth area, helping to draw breath out of the helmet.

Made with water repellent materials it helps block rain and will not weigh down with water.
