CASE STUDY BRIEF As we shift to an era where we begin heading out into the public with a new vision on personal health, people begin asking to themselves what they would do if they had to face a pandemic at full scale once again. Today, we rely much more on technology than ever before and the pandemic showed us that lots of things are achievable in the house with today's technology. During quarantine, Americans were able to go to work from the comfort of their home - filled with distractions. They could keep their kids from daycare, grab a bite to eat at any time, and never need to commute. What if there were a way to further this concept? What if we can make work from home distraction-free? The best way for us to get from bed to work needs to be a straightshot through every important checkpoint of the daily routine. The house of the future needs the capability of a 5-second commute to work. Sleep is also something that many Americans have been neglecting but has become a huge part of well-being. The integration of good sleep habits are a crucial to a successful day at work and the house of the future must promote it in a big way.

When evaluating these constraints to what the future holds, there was a clear constant that needed addressed. There needed to be a sequence going from the bed to work. How this sequence was arranged was determined by the factor of light. Unobstructed light came from high up in the air on the site located hillside. The bed chamber dictated how the morning regiment began, soaking in the sun as a natural alarm clock. The bed chamber would live at the top of a tower with a sequence that moved downward vertically as its own module spearing through through the rest ot the house which sprawls out , hanging over the topography.

The public spaces of the house reads horizontally. The tower module itself reads as a separate entity as it serves on the interior. Two large windows capture sunlight from the southeast to allow the sun to wash the bed chamber on the top level with bright morning light in the waking hours. The main public spaces include the kitchen and living room on the second floor and the rooftop patio on the third floor. These are all places where inhabitants are able to take advantage of their mountainside view of the Cincinnati skyline while living in some of most opportune spaces for making memories with family and friends.
