The main drivers from the matrix that drove the design were Age-in-Place, Shed Roof, and Storage Systems. This a one-story stick-built house with two beds and one and a half bath at 1200 square feet is entirely ADA. The Shed Roof allows for compelling lighting opportunities integrated within the vaulted ceilings. The entire back wall of the house is a Storage System that helps define spaces within the house. The one-story layout is spacious and is easy to navigate, perfect for someone with a disability to maneuver. Utilizing the Shed Roof, Water Management was applied to collect water for a garden, which rests under the lower end of the slope at the front of the house. The design takes advantage of the corner lot by implementing window walls and two exterior patios facing towards the street, obtaining a public attitude towards the street.
