PROJECT BY KALEB TELEPAK

The idea of a catalog home is an enticing one, and has been utilized in the past. Though this idea is not new, creating a system of this type and recruiting CLT as the main material constraint makes the issue more interesting. Typically in a modular system, the design is concieved one time and constructed many, but that is not the intent of this project. This system allows clients to determine what they actually need in a home, from selecting different bathroom styles to impacting how the floor plan will operate. Rather than selecting a pre-designed catalog home and adapting to that space, clients will select the room modules that will then populate the program aspects of their perfect home. Once selected, the Architect will have the liberty in combining, altering and designing these room modules. As mentioned before, this is not a typical modular system, and is instead a collaborative effort between client and Architect to produce a home suited for that client completely.

Bedroom Modules

Ranging from typical bedroom sizes to smaller and more minimal arrangements, there is a room that will work for every member of the family.

Bathroom Modules

The bathroom modules are meant to compliment the half bathrooms that are found in the previously mentioned cores, and will be effective in providing for those who need more space in their home.

Dining Modules

Dining modules are one of the shared spaces in this system that bring not only programmatic elements, but also interstitial space that opens up the plan.

Living Modules

The living modules are the largest rooms in the catalog, and the most subject to alteration by the Architect. This is true due to the idea that the living room is meant to bring both the family and the plan together seamlessly.

Auxiliary Modules

The auxiliary spaces in the catalog are meant for those users who wish for some more non-traditional space that will be adapted into the plan. This includes rooms such as varying office sizes, a game room and carport options

01 - Cover page from the catalog website, introducing the module options in their respective categories. 02 - Concept homes 1, 2 and 3 + plan layouts. All designed for the same aforementioned client.
