Dear Reader Hi all. Here I am, confined to the boundaries of home, determined… to not be overwhelmed, by fear or frustration, during this global-crisis & hysteria, of corona-virus. Calm is best; but …how? Can I …stay positive …avoid despair …find ways to help …and, remain-happy, about what really-matters? I think I can, if I focus on family and friends (furry or otherwise) and you can too. I am always here for you to help in any way I can. If you have questions for me, email me at: welcome22day@gmail.com Protect the animals and share the news, Animals are our friends and we don’t eat friends.

Did you know… Animals •
Koalas hug trees to keep cool.
•
Koalas fingerprints are virtually indistinguishable from human ones.
•
Koalas are extremely picky eaters.
•
Koalas sleep a lot.
•
Koalas are not bears, they’re marsupials. Their closest living relative is the wombat.
•
Koalas are found in the eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia. They have grey fur with a cream-colored chest, and strong, clawed feet, perfect for living in the branches of trees!
•
When an infant koala – called a joey – is born, it immediately climbs up to its mother’s pouch.
•
A joey grows and develops in the pouch for about six months. Once strong enough, the youngster rides around on its mother’s back for a further six months, only using the pouch to feed.
•
Koalas have 5 fingers on front paw. This helps them to hold firmly onto the branches and to grip their food. The 2nd and 3rd fingers on their hind paws are fused together to form a grooming claw.
•
Some animal eat really bizarre things to make their digestive track move. Just like Dinosaurs eat rocks, Koalas eat dirt to digest eucalyptus leaves.

How You Can Get Started …In Activism Are you ready to be a Vegan-Activist? If you’re wondering, how you can get started, here are some suggestions:
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
Take personal action to improve the environment and make this world a better place for humans and nature. You organize public demonstrations and letter writing campaigns, to as well as face to face meetings with elected and appointed officials. Volunteer your time. You can be a force for improvement in your communities. Take part in school or local events. Share information about alternatives to dissection and about actively protesting the treatment of animals by zoos, circuses and rodeos. Ask family and friends for help. Start a fundraising project for a sanctuary.
As always, I’m here to help any way I can. welcome22day@gmail.com

Covid-19 What is the new coronavirus? The new coronavirus is a virus (type of germ) that causes lung infections in people. The disease is called COVID-19. What kind of illness does the new coronavirus cause? The new coronavirus causes a respiratory (lung) infection. People who are sick with COVID-19 can have a fever or a cough. They may also have muscle aches or sore throat. Some people may feel short of breath. How does the new coronavirus spread? When people cough or sneeze, small droplets of liquid go into the air. If the person who is coughing or sneezing has the new coronavirus, there can be virus in those droplets that can make others sick. How can I avoid getting sick? The best way to stay healthy is to wash your hands properly and often with soap and water. Washing your hands properly means using soap and water to wash for at least 20 seconds. If your hands look clean, you can use hand sanitizer with alcohol in it. If they have dirt or food or anything else on them, you should wash them with soap and water because hand sanitizer might not work. If you have to cough or sneeze, try to do it into your elbow or a tissue, then wash your hands afterwards. What can I do to avoid nightmares I might be having? If you find yourself worrying about the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the middle of the night, take a deep breath and tell yourself to calm down. Scientists around the world are working together to make sure “we’re prepared and ready” for whatever comes. That includes caring for patients and protecting those who are healthy. It’s okay to talk with your parents about your worries and express how you feel.
