This week’s boTTom line: There’s a Hospice Veterans’ group (about eight in number) who perform “pinnings” to veterans under the care of Miami County Hospice. The ceremony recognizes the Veterans’ service to our country. They’re presented a military folded U.S. Flag, several certificates, and a pin with the State of Ohio and U.S. Flag. This group’s resources are limited, so they rely on the donation of flags (3x5 U.S.-made cotton flags) Just recently, AB Cole Post 80 of Covington donated 12 flags, and the VFW of Covington has also donated flags. When it comes to Veterans, we just don’t do enough. How about donating a flag to this Hospice group? Or, thanking the next veteran you meet for their service to this wonderful country. If you’re in a restaurant, pick up the tab.
God Bless America!
