Covered Wagon Farm Market Celebrating 10th Year in Business Covered Wagon Farm Market, owned by Dan and Rachel Garber, opened its doors for business in 2009. In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of their business, and to show appreciation to the wonderful customers who have patronized them over the years, the Garbers are offering 10 free pieces of candy to each and every customer, starting Tuesday, May 28. In addition, on Friday, May 31, customers can purchase yellow American cheese for the amazing price of just 10 cents per pound (limit two pounds per customer, while supplies last). Also, on Saturday, June 1, chopped ham can be purchased for just 10 cents per pound (again, with a limit of two pounds per customer, while supplies last). Stop by Saturday, June 1, and select a beautiful 10-inch hanging basket of flowers for just $10 (while supplies last). The Garber family, to further show their appreciation to their customers, will be serving – at no charge – delicious bbQ sandwiches to all customers from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. On Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1, customers can enjoy free slushies. Their many satisfied customers enjoy making purchases of always fresh deli and bakery items, bulk candy, specialty meats, sandwiches, bulk foods and – in the summer – fresh produce. During the summer months, their greenhouses are brimming with flats of vegetables and vibrant flowers, hanging baskets, and roses. They also offer a nice selection of unique wind chimes, birdbaths, and Amish-made outdoor furniture to enhance your yard. Customers will be amazed at the over 7,000 colorful mums and seasonal decorations each fall. A stop at Covered Wagon Farm Market during the Christmas holidays is a must, where you’ll find a bountiful selection of fresh Christmas wreaths and greenery to give your home or business a festive atmosphere. And don’t forget to check out their delicious array of Christmas candies! Produce is raised on their farm and in the greenhouse from early spring until late fall. You’ll find sweet corn, beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and other produce sold by the bushel. And for those with a green thumb who enjoy growing things themselves, you’ll find fertilizers, potting soil, mulch, and more to help you grow healthy vegetables and vivid flowers. Mouth-watering pies, cakes, breads, and cookies are made fresh from scratch daily in their bakery. In the large deli section you’ll find over 50 different meats and cheeses, along with salads, sandwiches, and easy meals to simplify your life. Their shelves are always stocked with canned goods, jams, jellies, spices, salsas, and many types of snack foods, packaged and in bulk. If you’re in search of a special gift, you’ll most likely find it at Covered Wagon – everything from homemade soaps and candles, to oil diffusers, Watkins Products, and a nice selection of recipe and Christian books. Annual special events are big hits with their customers, such as the Greenhouse Grand Opening, their Anniversary Celebration, Apple Days, Fall Harvest Day and, of course, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Naturally, Dan and Rachel couldn’t accomplish all this by themselves, so they rely on the expert assistance of 25 employees, many of them members of the Garber family. Their son Jonathan keeps things running smoothly in the greenhouse. Their second son, Jared, is in charge of farm operations, while his wife Hannah makes their delicious Old-Fashioned Cheesecakes. Another son, Jacob, who lives locally with his wife Heidi, is a skilled carpenter. Two daughters, Jenae and Janene, both work in the store. The Garbers also have another daughter, Julie, who lives in California with her husband Gabriel. They are the proud parents of two beautiful little girls. The Garbers wish to thank all their loyal customers for their business, and they look forward to serving you over the coming months. Rest assured you’ll always find quality products at reasonable prices at Covered Wagon Farm Market!
