Saturday, July 29, 3 p.m. - The library will honor our service men and women and our veterans with a one-hour program entitled "Building a Human Flag for the United States of America!" It will take place in the parking area north of the library. Area police, fire and rescue, National Guard, and veterans from all branches of the Armed

Forces will be honored. In order to successfully create our Human Flag, we need volunteers of all ages to help hold the red, white, and blue panels as we sing The Star Spangled Banner. What a great way to participate and help visualize for our children and grandchildren the importance of the "freedoms" that living in the United States offer to all. There will be music and speakers, and we hope to get a drone picture taken above the flag. We are requesting a small donation of $2 for each person

Letter to the Editor BAAC Expresses Appreciation for 2018 Donations On behalf of the Bradford Area Association of Churches (BAAC), we would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who made donations in 2018. It was a very good year for us and the outpouring of food and donations was overwhelming. We especially want to thank Bradford School and the Bradford churches for all they do for us all year long. Their caring and support is amazing. Also, to the various other organizations who help support us. Why they choose us is just a blessing and we truly appreciate everything we are given. We also have a number of local and area people and groups of people who support us in many ways. It would be impossible to thank them all in this letter, but we hope you know who you are and that we couldn’t continue this program without you and your generosity. The families we helped this year and those who received help at Christmas were appreciative and we are sure they would want us to convey their thanks, as well. We have been doing this for 15 years and have enjoyed working with all of you. We look forward to serving you again in 2019. Once again, just know how much we appreciate all of you even though we don’t always get to say so. If you need to contact us for help with food or utilities, please call either Mary Alice at 937-448-2444 or Debby at 937-216-8452. We will do our best to help you with your needs. With Much Thanks, Mary Alice Yount & Debby Jess Co-Directors of the Bradford Resource Center

Pleasant Hill History Center Annual Meeting And Special Program Announced The Annual Meeting of the Pleasant Hill History Center Board will be June 27, 6:30 p.m., at the History Center, 8 E. Monument St. We will be voting on the expired terms of the Executive Board – two representatives from the Village and one representative from the Township. We will also have a comprehensive annual report, update of our financial status, and goals for the future. We encourage all members/partners to attend the annual meeting. Immediately following the annual meeting, at 7 p.m., Don Angle, local photographer and traveler, will give a presentation. He has traveled, visited, and photographed in all of the 49 states – with only Hawaii remaining. He uses photography as a means to share what he has learned and experienced in his travels. He has published a photo essay book, Finding Light in the Shadows, containing landscapes, seascapes, and nature photos, with narratives rooted in faith and philosophy. We welcome you to attend one or both meetings. The building is accessible. Follow us on Pleasanthillhistorycenter.com, Facebook – Pleasant Hill History Center, or contact us at PleasantHillhc@yahoo.com.
