Covington Woman Denied Lung Transplant
" " "
!
In July we announced a fundraiser for Jennie Anthony, who was hoping and praying to be placed on a list for a lung transplant. Unfortunately, Mrs. Anthony has received word from the hospital that she has been turned down. Although this news is not what she and her family had been hoping for, they have not given up and will pursue a lung transplant at other hospitals. The July fundraiser brought in about $1,800 to help with Mrs. Anthony’s medical bills. If you would like to contribute to her cause, checks may be sent to Jennie Anthony, 5600 N. Rangeline Rd., Covington, Ohio 45318.

A BIG Thank You! From the Ft. Rowdy Museum The Covington Newberry Historical Society and the Ft. rowdy Museum extend a Thank You to all who attended the annual Ham and Bean and Chili Supper on September 7. It was a huge success, and the result of this community's willingness to raise funds for our historical cause, and of those who worked to make it happen on a day offering the best weather we have had all year. Those who made the event happen are: Dixie Harnish, Mary Beth Benedict, Jeff McMaken, Larry Laub and three unnamed helpers, Wayne Flory, Luke Bowman, with assistance from Ellie and his Mom, and last but absolutely not least, Brenda Hitchcock with members of her family too numerous to mention here. The excellent music was provided by Titus Bowman and Old Dogs revenge. Moore Funeral Home provided chairs and tables. The J.r. Clarke Library provided electricity for the music, and the Village of Covington provided trash bins and blocked off the street. If anyone was omitted, Thank You also. Please keep your ear to the ground, and watch the Stillwater Advertiser for “The Further Adventures of The Ft. rowdy Museum.”
Vendors Sought for St. Teresa Church Christmas Bazaar St. Teresa Church in Covington is hosting their annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. There are three or four open spaces still available to vendors.
