PORTFOLIO 2016 - 2019
BACKDROP In this portfolio you will see student projects from my time at City College of San Francisco, up to my current profession as a design assistant. Since graduating, I’ve had the opportunity to obtain hands on experience with interior design, of which there are examples. Every day is a new learning experience in this field, and I am eager to thrive. Please proceed, for you now have a piece of my designs and experiences.

Case Study: Sungevity The objective was to design a new office space for Sungevity, a solar panel company in Oakland. Although this project was fictitious, we had to use the existing parameters of Sungevity’s office space. My idea was to take Sungevity’s energizing and fun spirit and instill that throughout the space. I focused on the circulation of foot traffic; designing a floor plan that has a balance of public and private; break-out areas for employees to re-energize. Aesthetic inspired by the midcentury modern movement.

RECEPTION
Exiting the elevator, you are welcomed into a sunny space. The custom-made light fixture over head is reminiscent of the suction tubes that were prevalent in offices in the Mid-20th century.
MEET
The first meeting space is designed for easy access (with two enter / exit points), casual discussions and workplace. The custom wall panels are designed to dictate the space, but to also allow a transparency.
WORK
This is the central workspace hub. No cubicles means easier employee interaction to keep great ideas in gear.
EAT This kitchen is Mid-Century Modern meets minimalism. Casual and can offer as another workspace for those who have a caffeine addiction.
MEETING OF THE MINDS This meeting room is more private, as it’s completely enclosed. However there are windows, so others don’t feel completely left out. This space encourages problem solving by working together
PRESENT This presentation room calls to comfort with a plush sofa wall inspired by Knoll.
RE-ENERGIZE A fun space to give your brain a break. Enjoy a game with a co-worker or read a book. Do something that requires getting your eyes off the screen.
CASUAL Another casual workspace that over-looks the beautiful Jack London Square.
DETAILS: BOOTHS & RAISED DISCS These plush and sound-blocking booths allow for a private conversation or workspace. The raised discs on the floor are for those with limited vision who use a white cane.
DETAILS: POST IT NOTE WALL Never run out of Post-It Notes with this installation. This encourages employees to write, rather than taking notes on a computer.
KES OFFICE This client’s office currently has no aesthetic and does not portray the client’s personality.
My intent was to give her a space that is modern, sophisticated, has an edge all while still being comfortable. I focused on a classic color scheme that can’t go wrong: black, white and gold. I’ve included modern and edgy elements by Kelly Wearstler to give the space character and a touch of luxury.
This design gives the client’s office style and functionality. The black and white elements are classy, while the gold gives it that touch of edge and luxe.
Upon entering the office, the layout feels open and has a natural flow to the space.
Both the client and their guests will have options on where to sit. More formal meetings will take place at the desk; informal meetings on the sofa.
Master Bathroom Renovation The existing bathroom was no longer functional for the clients. Wasted space due to the oversized jacuzzi tub and lack of storage due to the singlestanding sink. My intent is to create a space with a functional floor plan, a large walk-in shower, vanity for storage, and at the client’s request, a sauna for luxurious relaxation.

SELECTION
BRUSHED BRASS FIXTURES
Upon entering the bathroom, one can immediately see the sauna to the left. The transparency from the glass allows for a clear sight line, and therefore still feels spacious. The openness of the shower also allows for the illusion to continue.
I wanted to this bathroom to pack a punch with style and attention to detail, but I didn’t want it to become overwhelming. With the use of the white ornamental tile on the walls, this added detail without overwhelming the eye. The large scaled blue pattered tile balances out the smaller white tile as well.
Brushed brass finishes on the lighting, mirrors and faucets adds that perfect touch of luxury and chicness.
The white lacquer wall-mount vanity gives this space a modern look, rather than it being overwhelmed with Moroccan features.
Hotel Room Numbers & Wayfinding Signs I was given the opportunity to custom design the room numbers, wayfinding signs and bathroom signs for the hotel project that was recently completed. The hotel’s design is a contemporary take on Art Deco; therefore I wanted these signs to reflect that notion.
An example of the wayfinding signs during its creation.

FREE-HAND DRAWINGS Walt Disney inspires me on many different levels. In design: paying attention to detail. In work: never give up and be a team player. In life: have fun, be curious, and always continue to learn. I’m no animator, but I love making portraits of Disney characters.
Before Mickey Mouse, there was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. PieEye Mickey is my favorite!
Baby Herman from Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Jessica Rabbit
Fievel, my other favorite mouse. Not Disney, but he’s too cute.
