NEW YEAR—NEW LUCK Top Tips To Start The New Year!
Your Authority On Everything Gaming VOLUME 15 • ISSUE 12 MANAGING DIRECTOR & VIDEO POKER GURU Elizabeth Torma liz@azgamingguide.com
A
s 2022 came to a close and we welcomed in 2023, I did a number of things on December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2023 that helped me to achieve luck across this past year. I encourage all of our readers to embrace some or all of the activities I will perform again this New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. I believe they will set the tone for a productive and lucky year in 2024. Plus, they are a lot of fun! Kiss at midnight (the love between you and your loved one continues all year). Eat twelve grapes at midnight (brings you luck every month). Fill your pantry (an empty pantry signals hardship for the new year). Put cash in your wallet, don’t loan out any money on the 31st or the 1st, and don’t start the year with unpaid debts (you’re setting a precedent for money). Don’t clean the house, including dishes and laundry (you don’t want to be sweeping/washing away the good luck). Open the doors and windows just before midnight (let out the old year and bring in the new one). Don’t cry on the 1st (sets a year of sadness in motion). Eat collard greens and black-eyed peas (represents good luck and prosperity). Don’t leave the house unless someone, preferably a male and someone who is lucky and positive, enters first (this brings luck into the home). Don’t eat backwards moving crustaceans like lobster or shrimp (you don’t want to move backwards in the new year). Make some noise at midnight inside by clapping your hands in each room (this scares bad spirits away). Eat herring, pork, sauerkraut, and pig-shaped marzipan (all considered lucky). Carry an empty suitcase (this sets you up for adventures in the new year). Don’t eat chicken (your luck may fly away). Have A Lucky Year!

PLAYERS TALK
PARENTS & UNDERAGE GAMBLING Exposure & Access Enables Alarming Behavior
Dear AZ Gaming Guide, I need your help because my sister-in-law and I, as well as several of our friends, are very concerned and we don’t know where or who to turn to for advice. Between all of us, we have children of various ages (boys and girls) who are in elementary school, high school and college. It started with a casual remark from one of our children (aged 16) that she made a lot of money gambling recently, as did her friends. Of course, my response was, “What do you mean?” And, “How are you able to gamble?!” Well, what she told me was unbelievable to me! “Mom, all the kids are gambling.” Excuse me, what did you say? Apparently, underage children, even as young as middle schoolers, are gambling online, on sports betting apps, through some social influencers, and even sneaking in to casinos. What is going on here? How is all of this possible and what regulations are in place to protect these kids? Is it really that easy to just log into a website or app and start gambling? How do you prove your age? It seems that with the influencers, kids are just giving money to people who are of legal age to go and gamble on their behalf. I see it all the time at the casinos … people are taping and talking while their phones are in the air recording what’s going on with the game. But I never, for one second, thought my child could have given the money over to someone to play on their behalf!! I am very, very worried as to what is going on here! I don’t even know where to begin! First of all, I’m thinking of going to the casino I play at the most (because at least the people know me there) and tell them that security should be more diligent in checking identification because apparently underage high school and college students are gambling in the casinos! Second of all, they should inquire about the people who are taping the games when they are playing! Although, how are they supposed to know they’ve been given money by underage kids? I’m really not sure how they can control that? My niece who is in college just told me that sports betting companies are advertising to them all the time and that the students actually get promo codes to gamble. What is going on?!! Maybe I sound naive, but I am in such disbelief as to what’s going on and I’m very, very frustrated and extremely concerned!! Nowadays, us parents have so many things to worry about because of the damn technology. How are we, as parents, supposed to keep up with all of this?!!! We’ve always tried to keep our kids safe when online. I thought I protected all of my children from all the horrors they could get into trouble with online like bullying, predators, pornography, etc. but gambling? Never, for a second, did I think I also had to worry about illegal gambling! I have several questions for you and I’m really hoping that someone at
your company can provide some answers for us. Please give us any advice you can. What do you know about what’s going on? How can we protect our children? Is there a state or national agency that is in charge of monitoring all of this activity or someone else we can turn to and report what we know? What about the casinos? Are they doing anything about this? Any help you can provide is much appreciated! If you can further investigate what I’ve told you that would be great. I’m hoping that you take my note and do an article to make other parents aware of what’s going on. I love your Players Talk, but if you print this, please do not use my real name. Can you just put Anonymous from Arizona? Thank you! Anonymous, thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, you are not the only one who has brought this to our attention recently. There is a significant amount of underage gaming (legal & illegal) happening currently. The most popular legal gambling activities that underaged children are involved with are lottery tickets, sports betting apps, in-person casinos and online casinos. And, yes, we have also heard that some social influencers are pooling money from various sources which include underage gamblers. Gambling is one of the fastest growing addictions in America. In a recent survey conducted by Intelligent.com, more than 66% of college gamblers believe they already have a gambling problem and 60% of them say they have gambled illegally. In fact, 85% of those surveyed say they started gambling because of their school’s betting promotions. And, nearly half of all gamblers in college say they started gambling in middle or high school. Startling statistics! My team and I are currently doing an investigation and we will be publishing an article in an upcoming issue. We are currently talking to all the Arizona casinos, the Arizona Department of Gaming, Tribal Gaming Offices and Sports Betting companies to understand what policies and procedures they currently have in place to prevent underage gambling. Some casinos have already banned video recording on the gaming floor, so please make security aware if you see this happening or any minors in any gaming areas. Please stay tuned for more details in our upcoming investigative report. If you know someone who is underage and participates in illegal or legal gambling, reach out to the Arizona Department of Gaming at Gaming.AZ.gov. If you or someone you know may suffer from a gambling addiction, reach out to ADG’s Division of Problem Gambling at 1.800.NEXT.STEP or ProblemGambling.AZ.gov. $
Thank you to our readers for your questions and comments, we appreciate you! Write us at Editor@AZGamingGuide.com or by mail at Editor, AZ Gaming Guide, PO BOX 20636, Mesa, AZ, 85277.

Frankenstein By Light And Wonder
R
eimagining the 1931 Universal classic film Frankenstein, this new slot from Light and Wonder is sure to scare the jackpots out of you!
If the “It’s Alive!” symbol appears on the first reel, all of the Monster symbols are awarded including any cash-on-reels prizes and jackpots. Players can win multiple jackpots on the reels. When “Power Up” appears on reel one, prizes on the display above the reels may be boosted from 2X to 10X and remain at the higher values until at least one prize is paid. Then the display is reset. Eight free games are triggered when bonus symbols land scattered on reels one, three, and five. The reel display increases in size by two rows from 3 X 5 to 5 X 5. Players can retrigger three additional free games with scattered bonus symbols on reels one and five. $
Raise The Sails By IGT
T
his slot by IGT is one of two games released by IGT, the other is titled San Xing Riches. The max bet is 600 credits and gameplay is on a standard 3 X 5 reel window with 243 ways to win.
Similar to other recent releases by IGT, several free games meters are displayed above the reels which increment while players collect corresponding coins on the reels. The three sets of individual free games are triggered by the corresponding symbol on the reels (Bronze, Silver, or Gold coins) and a treasure chest symbol on the fifth reel. Bronze free games are played on a 3 X 5 reel window, Silver free games on a 4 X 5 reel window, and Gold free games on a 5 X 5 reel window. Two jackpots, resetting at $250 and $1,000 are available during the free games. And the Cash-On-Reels game from the base game transfers to the free games. $
SLOT STRATEGY & VIDEO ALERT! Read the help screen to find out when the free games meters are forced to award. Don’t get sucked in and chase a meter. If there is more than one game to choose from, pick the game with the highest sum of the meters. Click the picture for an exclusive preview on our website. (AZGamingGuide.com/index_files/videos.html)

Mega Money Catch By Incredible Technologies
T
he air is filled with swirling dollar bills just waiting to be caught! Players who sit down at Incredible Technologies’ (IT) newest slot are in for a bill-grabbing frenzy in Mega Money Catch.
IT’s iconic “Money” brand returns with dollar bill symbols on 15 lines. With multiple denominations enabled, players can choose their preferred level of play with their eyes on the bet bar displaying better odds for the Grand and Major prizes at higher bets. At $1 denomination, a “VIP Pays” pay structure is enacted, giving a high limit taste right on the casino floor. Bills represent a “what you see is what you get” pay structure – $5 symbols are worth $5 each on a winning line, $10 symbols are worth $10, and so on. As an added incentive at $1 denomination, more AnglePay wins are possible! Bills that are diagonal may align for big wins with higher value symbols like $100 and $500 bills. Players can’t miss the three ever-growing bags of money above the reels. When triggered, the red bag awards the Jackpot Money Catch bonus, the blue holds Extra Picks Money Catch, and the orange awards the Multiplier Money Catch. As the bags grow, players may notice the VXP display raising behind main gameplay. Any single bag that lands on the reels can trigger the corresponding bonus event – all three may even be triggered at once with one of each bag! However, if a bag of cash lands without triggering the bonus event, it floats to the top and into the corresponding bag, randomly increasing the bag size and may even move the VXP display upward. Patrons walking by will see a bank of games at varied heights with money bags filled to the brim, waiting to burst! Anyone lucky enough to trigger a bonus enters the Money Catch event – where players are given 30 picks to tap as many dollar bills as they can to collect credits! The red bag bonus gives players the chance to spin the wheel for a Jackpot prize. The blue bag bonus awards extra picks for more chances to collect credits. And the orange bag awards randomly applied multipliers for bills that are tapped! Within each bonus event, players still have the opportunity to unlock another bonus feature for consecutive bonus events! $
SLOT STRATEGY & VIDEO ALERT! Minimum bet will activate some of this game’s features. Make higher wagers to qualify for the jackpots. Click the picture for an exclusive preview on our website. (AZGamingGuide.com/index_files/videos.html)

ARIZONA LOTTERY By Mark Novak
HOLIDAY THEMED SCRATCHERS We Review Two Of Our Favorite Games Available This Season
Y
es I’ll admit I have a lot of fun playing Scratchers® games. They are available all across the state, easy to play and can pay out quite nice!
One of my favorites has been the crossword Scratchers. Mainly because the game has a little more anticipation to it than others. The game play has you scratching off icons to reveal your letters which are then scratched off the game board. The more complete words you reveal, the more you win. I like to take my time and work on each revealed letter, that way the game lasts longer. This holiday season, the Arizona Lottery is introducing Naughty Or Nice Crossword as an available game and I’m hoping I receive a few of these games in my stocking! The overall odds of winning are right around 3 to 1, which is typical for most Scratchers. As a result, I tend to buy about $30 worth of tickets (each game costs $3) and I’m hoping for three or more winners. Speaking of winners, there are over 600,000 winning tickets out there. Sure, by the time you read this, some will have been claimed, but since you can win any of 11 different prizes, including $20,000, I’m always ready to try my luck! A second holiday themed Scratcher I’ve enjoyed playing and giving as gifts is 25 Days Of Winning. This game has a 10X multiplier which, if revealed, multiplies your win! There are over a half a million prizes available, with seven total $100,000 prizes to be had when the game was released.
14 Arizona Gaming Guide | December 2023 | azgamingguide.com
The game costs $10 per play, so again, with winning odds of around 3 to 1, I’m limiting my bankroll to $100 and hoping for three or more winners. At press time five of the seven $100,000 prizes were all still available and only some of the $1,000, $500, $200, and $100 prizes had been awarded. If you want to see just how many prizes for a particular Scratchers game are still out there, visit ArizonaLottery.com, click on “Scratchers” near the top of the site, and select an individual game. Once the game-specific page loads, you’ll see which prizes are still out there. Players can buy any one of five holiday themed scratchers this season with $1, $2, $3, $5, and $10 versions making them fun to play and great gifts too! Players can purchase Scratchers, Draw Game, Quick Draw, and Fast Play tickets at all Arizona Lottery retail locations. Players can also access the Arizona Lottery Players Club on their website at AZPlayersClub.com by downloading the app on the App Store or Google Play. For more info, visit ArizonaLottery.com. $ Must be 21 or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Scratchers® is a registered service mark of the California Lottery.

AZ CASINOS OFFER MANY TABLE GAMES A Variety Of Options Means More Ways To Win
N
ow that Arizona casinos offer games like craps and Mini Bac, they compete favorably with Las Vegas. They’ve got delicious but reasonable meals, room deals that put Vegas to shame, and no $15 parking charges. Like Vegas, each casino across Arizona has its mix of games to play, especially in the blackjack pit. We’ve got Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em and World Poker Tour; Let it Ride, and Three Card Poker; Pai Gow poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, Mini Bac, and more. If you want to play Mississippi Stud, you’ve got to head to Harrah’s Ak-Chin in Maricopa. The game is house-banked, but there’s no dealer hand to beat. You ante, look at your two cards and wager on the three cards to come. Make a pair of sixes through tens to push or up to a royal flush for a 500-1 payoff. If you miss playing Casino War (high card wins) at your kitchen table for match sticks or toothpicks, you can play for cash (well, chips) at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale. The house edge is slight, about half what Mississippi Stud claims. Just stay away from the Casino War Tie wager! Blackjack Games In Arizona Arizona boasts some of the most liberal blackjack rules in the nation. Dealer hits soft 17, players can double on any two cards, and re-splitting of aces are the best. If you want to go easy on your bankroll, you might consider playing Free Bet, which you can find at Casino Del Sol in Tucson and We-Ko-Pa along North Fort McDowell Road near Fountain Hills, or offered as Push 22 at Mazatzal Casino in Payson. The game plays like standard blackjack, but you can double down for free with 9, 10, or 11 as your original wager matches a Free Bet button. You can’t lose any more chips, but you can win double! You can also split cards for free (not 10s). Just split your pair with the original wager and get that Free Bet button. The dealer will even let you double or split again for free! It’s almost a dream come true, with one little catch.
16 Arizona Gaming Guide | December 2023 | azgamingguide.com
The tradeoff is that any dealer hand totaling 22 on the Free Bet table becomes a push. That rule raises the house edge up a bit, but with Arizona’s liberal blackjack rules, it’s a great game when you want to play correctly and split at the right time but are running low on chips. Mazatzal Casino also offers Trilux Buster Blackjack. If you’ve played Buster, you know it’s a side wager of $5, hoping the dealer busts. The more cards they use, the higher the payoff – up to 250 to 1 when the dealer uses eight or more cards. And there’s a possible $8,000 bonus if the player has a blackjack. As for Trilux Buster Blackjack, the side bet is based on your first two cards and the dealer’s up card. Payoffs include a flush, straight, three-of-a-kind, and straight flush. Every winning hand also makes the dealer a Lucky George tip. Another fun blackjack variant, Spanish 21, is dealt at We-Ko-Pa, Casino Del Sol, Gila River’s Vee Quiva in Laveen, and Wild Horse Pass in Chandler. The game offers 48-card decks (no 10s) with automatic bonuses, great rules, and a low house edge. $ Writer Al Moe has worked in the casino industry for many years. He has lived and worked in Las Vegas, Reno, and Lake Tahoe. He also attended the University of Nevada, Reno. He is an avid writer and blogger. SHUFFLE TRACKING An In-Depth Explanation
S
huffle tracking is the science of following specific cards through the shuffling process and either keeping them in play or cutting them out of play in the game of blackjack.
Most blackjack players don't think the "cut" of the cards makes much difference, but nothing could be further from the truth. Players use the shuffle as a break. A professional player who has been keeping track of the cards can take advantage of this opportunity by placing the cut card to keep good cards in play. This is a fairly new technique that has not been publicized very much. The concept of shuffle tracking appears to have resulted from bored mathematicians’ research and computer simulation of shuffling cards. Of course, just because cards are shuffled does not mean that they are randomized. Both basic strategy and card counting assume a random order of cards. A six deck shoe takes 120 to 180 shuffles to ensure a truly random dispersion. Like most players, you were probably oblivious to how the shuffle happens at a blackjack table. Pay attention and you can gain an additional advantage in your blackjack play. There are a number of shuffle methods, some of which have been labeled as: “Zone Shuffle,” “The Strip Shuffle” and the “Stutter Shuffle.” The Zone Shuffle is particular to shoe games and is probably one of the most common shuffle methods. It is accomplished by splitting the shoe into 4 to 8 piles depending on the number of decks in the shoe. Prescribed picks from each pile are made in a very exact way with intermittent shuffles of each pair of half deck sized stacks. The net effect is a simple regrouping of the cards pretty much in the same region of the shoe as they were before, thereby preventing clumps of cards from being randomly mixed. If the dealer won 40 hands and you won 20, this trend is likely to continue until you are broke or until the unfavorable bias is removed through many shuffles. What if players are winning 40 hands and the dealer only 20? If the dealer has been mentally keeping track of how many hands each side has won in the shoe, the dealer will probably do one of two things. One is to keep the shuffle the same, but "strip" the deck. When a dealer strips, they strip off one card at a time from the shoe letting them fall on top of one another onto the table. This action causes the order of the cards to be reversed. The main consequence is to dissipate any clumping advantages that the player may have. The second thing the dealer may do is simply change the way they shuffle to help randomize the cards.
18 Arizona Gaming Guide | December 2023 | azgamingguide.com
Incorporate this into your playing strategy and pay close attention to the way they shuffle. Many times a dealer will ask who wants to cut the cards, volunteer so that you can place the cut card to gain an advantage. In Arizona, where they use shuffle machines, you must pay close attention to where the cut card was placed in the previous shoe of that color of cards. I have found that if the cards were favorable for the player in the previous shoe, cut the opposite of the previous cut. For example, if the last cut was towards the bottom and it was favorable, cut towards the top to keep those cards in play. If they were not good for the player, cut the same as the previous cut to keep the unfavorable cards out of play. You will be surprised how this affects the cards. When the casino changes cards they are never randomized and it seems that the 10s are clumped at the bottom of the decks. When the cards are placed in the shuffler, it basically just mixes the cards in groups of five and they stay in that order. Here is what happens when most of the tens are at the bottom of the shoe. The small cards will come out giving the player stiff hands like 12, 13, 14, etc. Then the dealer will show an up card of six or less. The player will split their pairs, double and catch small cards, stand on their stiffs, not making hands since the tens are clumped at the bottom. The dealer will then usually make his hand. Even worse the card counter will get a high plus count which tells them to increase the bet, expecting to get good hands, but instead stiff hands continue to come out and the dealer wins. If you notice this happening you can get the 10s in play by cutting the deck deep towards the bottom and this will get the 10s toward the top. Incorporate shuffle tracking into your blackjack play for an additional advantage. $ Writer TJ Jorgensen has been a professional Blackjack player for several decades. He is well known for his tournament play and has beaten some of the top tournament players in the world. He has also won the World Series Of Blackjack. GAMING NEWS Submitted By Global Gaming Business
Kick’s New Streamer Claims Deal Includes Gambling Streams audiences and the potential for gambling addiction. Kick’s decision to include gambling streams as part of their offerings suggests that they are leveraging Stake’s expertise and resources to attract both streamers and viewers to their platform. Twitch, the leading livestreaming platform, took action against gambling streams in response to growing concerns from the community. Numerous Twitch streamers and viewers expressed worries about the promotion of gambling addiction and the impact on underage audiences.
The world of livestreaming has witnessed a seismic shift with the emergence of Kick, a Twitch rival backed by the cofounders of the Stake gambling platform. Kick has made waves in the industry by investing heavily in streamers, offering lucrative contracts to some of the biggest names in the business. Among these streamers is Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff, coowner of FaZe Clan and a popular Call of Duty streamer. His recent eight-figure deal with Kick has sparked a flurry of speculation about the inclusion of gambling streams as part of the contract. During his first livestream on Kick, Nickmercs revealed that gambling streams would indeed be a part of his contract. He addressed the burning question from his fans, stating, “We’re gonna do some gambling for sure. It’s part of the contract, y’know.” However, Kick’s head of partnerships contradicted this claim, stating that there was no gambling clause in Nickmercs’ contract. The truth, as revealed by esports reporter Jake Lucky, is that Nickmercs has a separate Stake contract alongside his Kick contract. This clarification sheds light on the close association between Kick’s streaming platform and Stake’s gambling site. The disclosure by Nickmercs provides further evidence that Kick’s success as a streaming platform is intricately linked to Stake’s success as a gambling platform. Stake.com, owned by Kick co-founder Ed Craven, has been banned from Twitch due to concerns about the promotion of gambling to underage

As a result, Twitch banned several gambling sites, including Stake.com, from their platform. This ban created an opportunity for Kick to fill the void left by Twitch and attract streamers like Nickmercs, who are interested in exploring the world of gambling streams. Despite the controversies, Kick.com continues to expand its platform and improve its services. Recently, they announced the addition of a feature that allows users to report streams for guideline violations, indicating their commitment to addressing concerns and maintaining a responsible streaming environment. This move reflects Kick’s desire to grow and evolve as a platform, catering to the demands and expectations of both streamers and viewers. Félix “xQc” Lengyel, one of the most prominent streamers associated with gambling on livestreams, has openly admitted that he is being paid to gamble on his streams. In response to questions about his involvement in gambling, xQc stated, “Bro, I’ve never lied once about it before, what is up with this guy: everyone knows I am.” Despite facing criticism for his gambling tendencies and the potential harm it may cause to his audience, xQc passionately defends his actions, considering it an illness and emphasizing that he can afford to be addicted. SAMI’S SMACKDOWN By Sami Becker
DON’T TIP THEM! They Don’t Deserve It … Seriously?!?!?!
E
very time I visit a casino, I have a new experience to discuss. Some make it in to the magazine, some don’t. Some are good, some are bad. This one was...bizarre?
I visited a casino recently and played a little video poker. I caught some great cards and my game locked up for a jackpot. Another patron came up to me and began discussing my win. How wonderful it was I won something. How no one ever wins at that casino. How all the games at that casino just take their money. I’m guessing you have encountered this type of patron before. If you haven’t, they can be fun or, in my case, not. At the end of the tirade about how no one wins at the casino (I’m thinking: “If no one wins, including you, and you are this vocal and upset about it, why are you here?”) the patron emphatically stated, “Don’t give them a tip! They already take enough money. Don’t give them any more. I don’t want to see you giving them a tip. They don’t deserve it!” Ok. Now the patron is telling me what to do with my win. The patron is pretty adamant about it. And, the patron, who was waiting for their party to arrive for dinner at the steakhouse, has sat down near my game and is glaring at me. Don’t tip them. Don’t give them more money. They don’t deserve it. They, in this case, are the casino slot attendants. To be clear, the slot attendants are paid to perform a service and a portion of their wages comes from tips. In most cases a significant portion. Just ask any slot attendant, they’ll tell you. Their paycheck depends on tips, just like restaurant servers in a casino’s food outlet and drink servers or bartenders on the casino floor. If you don’t feel like tipping for service, that’s on you, not me. Don’t impose your beliefs on me, especially not when your reasoning makes absolutely no sense. The slot attendants have no influence over the games in the casinos. In fact, they are not in charge of slot payback, or much else in terms of casino management. Their primary duties include facilitating the payment of jackpots, verifying patron info in the event of a taxable win, and providing customer service. Slot attendants depend on tips and I tip service workers. But back to my story. The slot attendant unlocks my game and informs me they will be back with my money. As soon as they
34 Arizona Gaming Guide | December 2023 | azgamingguide.com
are out of earshot, I see the patron get up and make a beeline towards me. I grab my phone and pretend I’ve received a call so I don’t have to endure any more proclamations and negativity. That fails to thwart the patron, who starts attracting my attention with hand gestures and mouthing “Don’t tip them!” over and over. The patron then becomes distracted by the other members of their party who have now arrived. At this point, the patron tells all the other guests about my win and how I shouldn't tip. I’m still pretending to be on the phone, but I can hear just how adamant this person is being with the rest of their party. Out of the corner of my eye, I see the slot attendant and a verifier approaching with my jackpot and I start to breathe a little easier. When the steakhouse calls the party a few seconds later, full-blown relief sets in. But not before the patron runs over to me, gets one inch (not kidding) from my face and in a stern, loud voice (spit flying everywhere) instructs me yet again, “Don’t tip them!” By the way, I did tip my usual amount based on the size of the win. What I’d like to know from casino patrons, employees and management, is how would you have handled this situation? Or how would you have wanted me to handle this situation? $

This may not be delivered as an outright joke, but bear with us as this actually happened at the casino! So please, dear reader and fan, sit back, relax, try to picture the scene we are about to describe. Imagine sitting at a bank of games at the casino and watching a female patron walk up to a male patron who is sitting nearby. Let’s also pretend they are a married couple. Slowly, the man reaches into his back pant pocket, removes his wallet and fishes out a bill. Maybe it’s a $5, maybe it’s $100, who knows? She takes the bill, looks at the bill and then looks at him. Next she proceeds to adjust her posture to face him square on, feet in line with her shoulders, and slowly puts both her hands on her hips. Have you got this scene in your mind yet? Can you sense the interaction between them? If not, take a moment to visualize it. Once you’ve got it, read on. Without any words exchanged between them, she settles in her stance like a pitcher, and he just looks at her with wide open eyes and hands over his wallet.
