THERE(4) Teen Gathering
In 2012, Tiffany Daniels attended a life-changing event with her teenage daughter. Little did she realize what an impact that experience would have on her life. “It was a national teen conference that profoundly impacted us both,” she said. “I left excited about bringing my daughter and her friends back every year.” Tiffany was disappointed, however, to discover the event was discontinued. She spent years searching the country for a similar spiritual-life experience. There simply wasn’t one. God had planted a seed in Tiffany’s heart that weekend and, as the years passed, He grew that seed until fi nally, in 2015, she came to realize God’s desire was to use her to launch such a conference. That was the genesis of THERE{4} Teen Gathering. “We obtained our 501(c)3 status then organized and held our fi rst conference in February 2016,” Tiffany said. “The fact that 850 girls showed up that fi rst year was amazing and motivated my team to keep going! “ She’ll never know this side of heaven how many lives that and subsequent gatherings have touched. THERE{4} Teen Gathering is a weekend of worship, inspiring speakers, and creative interactions designed especially for high school girls, inspiring them to boldly live out their identity in Jesus Christ. The 7th conference in February 2021 was livestreamed because of COVID but was just as impactful, reaching girls in 30 countries and all 50 states.
After graduation from UT with a bachelor’s in architecture, Tiffany began her work life in the fi eld of Architecture. She made the transition to hospital development before entering the non-profi t world with THERE{4} Teen Gathering. “To my knowledge, there are no other large events like THERE{4} specifically designed for high school girls,” she said. “Our two-day conference provides a unique experience where teen girls can come together and feel like they are seen, known, and loved deeply by God.” Tiffany is quick to credit much of the success of the ministry to the board of directors and volunteer team made up of dozens of creative, practical, energetic people. “Our mission is to inspire the next generation of girls to boldly live out their identity in Jesus Christ,” she said. “Today’s teen struggles with personal worth, their identity daily assaulted by social media, mental health issues, pressures of an increasingly sexualized culture, the challenge of negotiating relationships among their peers—both friendships and romantic partners—and concern about their future beginning with acceptance by the college of their choice. I’m always striving to be aware of the needs of this generation so we can create an experience that’s relevant and encourages them to grow personally and spiritually.” In addition to serving as executive director of THERE{4} Teen Gathering, Tiffany serves at her home church, Central Bible Church, and has volunteered with the NET jail ministry in Fort Worth, World Relief, and Mission Arlington. "Being diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2002 and undergoing many months of treatment, not only increased Tiffany's empathy for others, it also gave her a renewed perspective on her life and purpose."
