7.11-11.11.2018 Visit in Portugal, Madeira
08.11.2018 It was the first day of the meeting for all partners in portuguese Madeira Activity started in school in Funchal _ the biggest city of island and capital city. After short greeting we started working in groups. We saw a show of car-robots made from lego construction set, which were navigated by tablets. Then we were piloting and navigating them by ourselves. In that time teachers were discussing abou key challenges. After that all groups presented past activities in project. We were the first team performing and all of partners admired our presentation and film. We gave DVDs to teachers with film. Then we went to Port Moniz, where we could admire fabulous view at Atlantic Ocean. During lunch we tasted flavours of traditional Madeira dishes: bread bolo do caco, swordfish with banana, sea food. After meal we visited oceanarium and natural lava swimming pool. In that time teachers were discussing the following tasks and plans for project in regional museum. Then we went back to Funchal for the walk in port, where we could see memorial of Cristiano Ronaldo, because this famous football player was born there. We ended that exciting day with delicious dinner.

09.11.2018 The next day we we went to town hall in Funchal, where we met there representatives of local executive and all teachers and students. We were talking about lacking teaching methods in school reality, obstacles in Open Science Schooling and why it is important. During a break we visited the center of town, where we saw cathedral Sé i Praça Amarelas and torso of marshal Józef Piłsudski, who was there to take a rest in 1930 and 1931 with a friend. Then in antique interior we started working in groups, where we were looking for conclusions about communication between participants in project. In that time teachers were discussing about activities in 5th phase of project. After these activities we went for a lunch in restaurant Quinta Estaçao. We tasted many of local dishes and from the terrace we could admire panorama od Madeira. Second part of meeting took place at school in Funchal. We presented results of our pursuit in groups and granted about project. Also it was said that the next meeting will take place in Primary School no 2 in Lukow.

10.11.2018 The third day was a time of various amusements, but also we were riveting bonds in international group. In the morning we went to Mercado dos Lavradores - market of fruits, vegetables, fish in Funchal. We were wondering about selection of fruits of subtropical climate. Then we went towards mountains of island, which are: Pico Ruvio (1862 m n.p.m.) and Pico Torres (1851 m). We went along airs above the ground - rehydrating system, which is about 2150 km and drive water to towns for 300 000 habitancy. While walking we were admiring laurel forests, which areon the UNESCO list and colourful views. Only 20% of island wasn’t transformed by human. The last point of field research was visit in Cabo Girao - one of the highest cliffs in Europe (580m.). There was a viewing platform with transparent floor. We could admire the view of endless Atlantic Ocean. In front of school in Funchal we congeed Portuguese hosts and students, teachers from other countries taking part in project. We can’t wait to see them in our country. Now we will be working on the following goals and phases. During the project we were discussing about developing visions of project with all of the partners.
