At this moment, he was reading the dollar section version of Tom Sawyer. There is a cave adventure, and, as a huge Minecraft fan, he wanted more stories of kids fighting bad guys in dark places. I picked up this copy at Target along with Pinocchio and Jungle Book when I was trying to get his library started in 2010. Kal had just gotten to a part where they are talking about tick bugs, which was funny to us because the parents at his school had been obsessed with ticks during the previous week’s Field Day.
