I actually haven’t seen the show or read the book, but everyone seems to recommend the second novel by Celeste Ng that was released in September 2017. I think it’s a good display of how removed Kal and I are from what’s making news in book publishing that we walked past all her signs without much consideration for how one day in the near future everyone we know would be talking about Shaker Heights, Ohio, and the Hulu adaptation. —MV
