FIRST LAST BEST

New York City Comic Con 2017 was my first comic book convention I’d ever been to and I got to experience it with my best friend, Richie. He and I went together and it was a great time. We wore DC character themed outfits. I wouldn’t say we cosplayed, I would say we dressed to symbolize what fandom we were a part of. He wore The Flash and I wore Wonder Woman. We roamed the Show Floor and took pictures with cosplayers, then walked over to the huge DC booth to take pictures of the Justice League movie costumes. While walking around the Show Floor, Richie saw a cosplay of the tenth doctor and I saw the fourth doctor from Doctor Who, and we both took pictures with them. I went down to look for Art Balthazar, artist for Tiny Titans, and there I picked up a Tiny Titans-style Supergirl and Flash. Later, we walked over to the Marvel booth and met up with my dad and met a writer for Marvel comics. At the end of the day, we walked away with a few comic con souvenirs and sketches from artists in Artist Alley. That was the last time Richie went to Comic Con, and I’m glad I got to experience it with my best friend. It’s a comic con that I’ll always remember.
