Artist Alley
While this book debuted in 2016, two hurricanes hit Puerto Rico in September 2017—so close to NYCC—and brought a lot of energy to supporting the project. Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez has raised close to a quarter of a million dollars for grass roots organizations in Puerto Rico via the La Borinqueña Grants Program. AMY REEDER took a picture of Kal (but in my videos, he never stops moving to pose for her) when we stopped by her table. Kal loved the job someone had done in the coloring book, but we didn’t stop to contribute.
