Just relax A must for every explorer of Manhattan: The High Line is an abandoned elevated railway line of 2.5 kilometres length that lies approx. 10 metres above the city. An ideal place to meet and relax on sightseeing tours. Locals love to use this haven to switch off from their hectic office routines.

The Chrysler Building is one of New York’s signature skyscrapers. It was built on behalf of the car manufacturer of the same name and its adornments show numerous details of its vehicles. The 31st floor’s four corners, for example, are designed like oversized bonnets and the eagle wings that can be seen on 61st floor resemble bonnet mascots of past times. Aix-en-Provence, South of France The picturesque alleys and cafĂŠs in the capital of the Provence put you in a dreamy mood. Ancient wells, the City Palace and gardens tell their own stories that just want to be discovered. My tip: A guided wine tour that gives you the chance to catch many insights into local wine cellars.

Get the Vintage Look Here are some tips for retailers on how to provide your shop with a totally new look at a flick of the wrist.
1 . o N Tip
Crown your shop with an old chandelier. Important: Place the precious piece where nobody would expect it, for example inside a cupboard. By coming up with something unexpected and opposite, you will be generating increased attention and openness for new ideas.

Create some atmosphere with things from the “good ole times”: Gramma’s pricey wine rummers and precious preserving jars holding candles, badges or decorative paper tapes. A typewriter e.g. builds a bridge to modern writing implements and utensils.
Tip No.2
3 . o N p i T Old wine boxes in a new look.
A great looking shelf is easily and quickly put together. A few retro lamps round off the style.

BBQ
BY THE CHEF HIMSELF American BBQ is the highest art of grilling. Instead of being chargrilled, food is aromatized through indirect heat and smoke. Whether fresh fish, juicy steaks or healthy vegetables – the taste of food coming straight off the smoker is unbeatable. ARTEBENE’s General Manager Dr. Rüdiger Kress reveals his secret recipes and tips for a great BBQ.

During the smoking process, pieces and chips of selected wood types add an irresistible flavour to your food. The taste depends on the wood type. The right wood has therefore an essential influence on the character of the food’s taste. Alder for instance adds a subtle taste of smoke with a hint of sweetness, whereas oak leaves a good amount of smoky flavour. The following chart helps you choose the right wood according to the food to be grilled:

The days are getting longer and the time of mild summer nights has begun! Start partying outside now until the lawn is on fire: whether BBQ, pool parties or an idyllic summer night celebration. We give you tips and inspirations for a garden party with that special edge.
Lighting
Especially lighting can create a warm atmosphere. Chinese lanterns in different colour shades can be put on branches and candles look even nicer when put inside table lanterns that are lovingly decorated. If you have a pond, create a magic atmosphere by putting floating candles on the water’s surface. 1 8 M agazin E by A rtebene
Activities
How about a little sporting challenge that incorporates a burst of freshness? Just place some filled water bombs in a nice container or put them up on a line.
Feel -good factor
Make your outdoor area all snugly and turn it into a cosy haven by simply replacing chairs and benches with large cushions. To make it look even more welcoming, put blankets on them so your guests do not have to be cold when sitting outside late.
Refreshments
After a hot summer’s day, cold drinks are particularly welcome. Instead of using ice cubes, put grapes, raspberries or strawberries in your freezer and add them to chilled white wine or prosecco. This will prevent your drinks from being watered down. M agazin E by A rtebene 1 9

LITTLE PEOPLE G R E AT F R I E N D S H I P S
The old Greek Aristotle already concerned himself with the subject friendship and defined it as “one soul in two bodies. The desire to have friends seems to be as old as mankind itself. But not all friendships are the same! Good talks are especially important to adults and adolescents, whereas childhood friendships are characterised by totally different features. For example, they like to share the contents of their breakfast boxes or candy bags in kindergarten. In quarrels, they defend their friends, even if that means they have to put up with disadvantages.

For little presents that everyone likes.
Partly, however, children make friends out of rational considerations, maybe for not having to play on their own or for uniting against other people like parents or other children. When children reach primary school age, the kinds of friendship change. Now they choose friends more carefully and driven by their own will. Most of the friends that they
