“Unlimited Shoes” seen in Berlin, Germany
GOOD TO KNOW: Streetart (also street art, used less frequently because it could be understood as street entertainment) describes various non-commercial forms of art in public areas, which the initiator intends to remain there permanently. Christmas celebrations C E L E B R AT I O N T I P S F O R F RIENDS
For most of us, Christmas time is pure stress. Buying gifts – preferably at the last minute – wrapping them, making biscuits, writing cards for relatives and friends... Give our anti-stress tip a try. We’ll show you how to organize a relaxed spontaneous Christmas celebration for friends and family. How you do it: Just invite your best friends to a cosy gettogether right before Christmas. Together with the invitation, give your guests an empty cookie tin, which you ask them to return that evening, filled with tasty biscuits, of course. This will provide you with a diverse selection of biscuits to spoil your guests with. To beat the cold weather, it’s best to serve a hot winter punch or mulled wine. Serve the drink in scooped-out halved oranges or apples, decorated with cinnamon sticks and pieces of fruit. THE eye-catcher of the evening. Physical well-being is taken care of quickly, too: Light the grill, throw the sausages on, done! Can you feel your stress reducing already?! Matching Christmas cards from ARTEBENE

Another tip: To spare you from a time-consuming search for a good mulled wine recipe, we have compiled a short list of ingredients for you: 1 litre organic mulled wine 2 organic oranges 1 sachet anise stars 2 tablespoons Cointreau Heat the mulled wine (don’t allow it to boil). Wash the oranges and grate the peel to thin stripes. Juice the oranges. Add juice, peel, anise stars and Cointreau to the mulled wine. Keep the mulled wine hot and enjoy.

GIFTS FROM THE KITCHEN At Christmas, we all want to give our loved ones something with a personal character that they will enjoy. For example, homemade apple-cinnamon syrup – a highlight in every kitchen. With this simple recipe, you will create an unforgettable gift that is not just limited to the Christmas season.
What you need:
How you do it :
Ingredients:
Peel the apples and and remove cores. Cover the apples,
2.5 kg apples
cinnamon sticks and sugar with 300 ml water and boil
2 cinnamon sticks
covered for 20 minutes until soft. To get the juice, put the
150 g sugar
applesauce in a fine sieve and pour it over a bowl to drip,
300 ml water
preferably overnight.
2 tablespoons maple syrup 300 ml apple juice
Top up the juice with apple juice until you have 750 ml. Pour juice and maple syrup in a pot and reduce to approx. 500 ml. While hot, fill into bottles and seal. The remaining apple mass doesn’t have to end up on the compost heap: boil shortly with a shot of apple juice and fill the applesauce into jars. A small tip in conclusion: Add a shot of syrup to hot apple juice – this is a tasty apple punch for Christmas-time. It also tastes good when mixed with sparkling wine or water.

S W E E T T E M P TAT I O N S Cookies are the most popular Christmas sweets that nobody should do without. The first small treats in the form of gingerbread and small biscuits already came about in the time before Christ – primarily during festive seasons. Today, it’s hard to imagine a kitchen without this sweet snack, no matter what time of year it is. Here are the most popular recipes from Grandma’s collection
Cinnamon stars:
How you do it :
3 egg whites
For the cinnamon stars, beat the egg white until stiff and
250 g powdered sugar
stir in the powdered sugar bit by bit. Put approx. 80 g of
300 g ground almonds
the egg white mixture aside for the sugar icing. Mix 300 g
2 teaspoons cinnamon
ground almonds into the rest of the egg white mixture and
100 g ground almonds
spice with cinnamon. The amount of almonds depends on the size of the eggs. The dough should be firm enough to be rolled out. Sprinkle the rest of the ground almonds on the worktop. Roll the dough until approx. 1 cm thick. Cut out the cinnamon stars and place them on a baking tray covered with baking parchment. Brush the cinnamon stars with the remaining egg white mixture. Let them dry overnight, then bake them in a preheated oven at 160°C on the middle rack for approx. 8 minutes.

FOR SNOW BUNNIES AND COLD LOVERS Discover the fantastically beautiful landscape of Sweden in the winter: A guided dogsled tour is the ideal adventure for all active holiday-makers. 22 MAGAZINE BY ARTEBENE
(1) Getting to lead your own team of dogs is an exciting experience in the snowy winter world of the north. And the dogs are totally in their element! A ride through the never-ending white means pure pleasure and is a unique experience that you will talk about for a long time. Along with the equipment, food and luggage are distributed amongst the sleds first. Then the dogs are attached and off they go! At first they’re nervous and pull on the reins. But as soon as the musher starts with his pack leader, the rest follow him quietly. Up to the treeless Fjäll the ride continues through snowed-in forests. For several days you fly across the carpet of snow on the Fjäll, experiencing Sweden’s unspoiled nature up close.
(2)
After arriving at the camp, the dogs are untied and taken care of. Then the participants prepare dinner together. But before the oven can offer some cosy heat: Time to cut some wood. Getting water from small creeks or clear wells under the snow is also part of the evening work each day. On the last day of the tour, it’s back to the valley, where the husky farm is. A last evening together in camp brings the tour to a sociable close. The length of the tour is flexible and spans from day trips to tours lasting 10 days. Overnights on the tour
