EXPLORATION GABRIEL ALVAREZ

CONINGSBY GALLERY LONDON 25TH TO 30TH OF NOVEMBER 2024

EXPLORATION
GABRIEL ALVAREZ
This is Gabriel’s first solo exhibition since "Transition” in 2016. Since then, he has continued exhibiting as part of Artelectrico Collective Shows and various other exhibitions, including The Medical Art Society, where he won the Wynn Morgan Prize earlier this year.
"Exploration" is an art exercise of experimentation, working in different styles and media. This exercise requires command of the techniques, knowledge of art and valour to exhibit works that differ diametrically in content execution and media.
Gabriel wants to exercise freedom and not be attached to a style just because it sells better or comes easily, but changing styles makes the production of art more challenging and entertaining.
The viewer is also challenged by this exhibition. Coming into this solo show, expecting one artist's style, they find a cornucopia of different techniques and media, but be aware: Something happens, and the personality of the artist still shines through in different hues, allowing one to see the true personality of the artist.
We hope you enjoy the show and find Gabriel's authentic style.
