New year, new Artillery! Our Jan/Feb 2022 issue, It’s Personal, will be available in LA galleries and online January 5.
All art is personal and ultimately autobiographical, inextricable from the artist’s unique lived experiences. Our issue spotlights artists creating highly individual works and choosing to share the most intimate aspects of their lives. It’s all personal, and we hope you feel it too.
On the cover, Vietnamese American artist Hung Viet Nguyen (@hung_viet_nguyen) talks about how his art comes from the heart and how it reflects his upbringing, emigration and personal relationship with nature. Other features include Calliope Pavlides, Allison Janae Hamilton and Leila Weefur — all of whom translate their pain, their love and their souls into their artwork.
