This is the world famous intersection centre, which is dazzlingly lit by plentiful billboards and advertisements, this all being a spectacular visual display to see. Times Square after the Great Depression and World War II looked very different to what it currently looks like now. From the 60’s crime rates were very high and continued to increase throughout the years. Adult allurements played a big role. This is well captured in the tv series The Deuce, James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal star in a gritty drama

from David Simon, that traces the evolution of the porn industry in NYC’s Times Square in the 1970s. In 2018, the New York City Economic Development Council, created a short documentary about the economic transformation. Erick Mota, The Game of Life - While every human has the chance to hear God’s truth and choose whether to respond to it, the masterful battle between God versus The Devil is like a chess-match, in which we are the pieces. From the perspective of mankind, the battle of right vs. wrong, light vs. darkness, and good vs. evil, begins with a clash of values with God, being a meta-physical entity, destined to win the battle against the author of sins, in “The Game of Life.” Discover More - www.ErickMotaArt.com / Instagram: @erickmotaart 6

Michele Farkas, Esplosione de Colore - This Fractal Art project reveals an explosion of shapes, color and texture. Light and shadows also play an underlying role in the overall feeling. The Mandelbulb 3D software was the basis for the birth and evolution of this art, which allows the artist to create without limitations. The Mandelbulb is a three-dimensional manifestation of the Mandelbrot set. It is an infinitely complex, naturally occurring and most recognized mathematical fractal form. As an Outsider Artist who enjoys evading reality and escaping to her own parallel world, it’s important to be able to create thought-provoking imagery allowing one to abandon all cultural myths and predictability. JoJo Huxford, JAMEISON - JAMEISON is a self portrait depicting the minds eye one of creativity. JAMEISON eyes are closed, hand on chin, streams of pink hair symbolize reflection and imagination. My creative mind was established very young, from a childhood replete with autoimmune illness. My imagination was my salvation from these very harsh beginnings 12 to 22. This resource is represented in my art. My art is an immersive experience a sense of independence freedom flight. JKH art flows to the realm the senses. I take you there: without aim presently or subjectively. I fly with color, certain undertones of reality: joy death sorrow sensuality ‘the stuff of life. Some have called it creative genius I call it survival 101 from tough beginnings. Discover More - www.nantucketphotos.photography / Instagram: @Jojohuxford2

Jennifer Jean Okumura, Where are we going? - ‘Where are we going? is mysterious, unseen—she is a force of nature, a master of the dark and light and all in-between. Jaël Roznicki, Upping the Kink Game - “Upping the Kink Game” is a piece that was created by intensity in color. Wanting to express and push myself in a more edgy way. The focus was on vivid color theory and not restricting myself to more conventional markings and shapes, creating less content but more impact. The name is actually more seductive than the thought behind it. My hope was to capture the viewer with intensity and then draw them into questioning the piece. It is part of my personal collection to remind myself to let go of conventionality and go unapologetically for the raw unfiltered truth of life. Discover More - Instagram: @jaelroznicki_art 13

Hanne Margaretha Biedilæ, Don’t let anyone be the judge of your dreams (Acrylic on canvas, 200 x 160 cm) - Stop Sexual Discrimination Against Women Both Privately And Publicly! The work is inspired by an interview with Lillian Müller, a Norwegian model and actress born in 1951, also known as the Playmate of the Year in 1976 and her relationship with Hugh Hefner. In the interview Müller talks about highlights from her own career, hard work and healthy lifestyle. The journalist is constantly trying to hear scandal stories and if not the time as playmate has given her depression or led to drug abuse, and what parts of the body she has fixed on. Only when she told she had an abortion did the male journalist apologize for coming up with a private question. Discover More - www.studiohmb.com / Instagram: @studiohmb

Betsy Gelvin, Origins II - During this current climate of war, disease and anxiety about the future, I returned to materials and symbols originally explored when my body created life. Now I am fortunate to have another generation creating life. These intuitive human symbols presented themselves to me again and I felt compelled to express the inner peace, chaos, hope and uncertainty of birth and death. Using texture, form and color, I recorded how the world feels both fragile and indomitable to me and how this is confirmed more and more clearly with each passing year of my own life..

Warda Rana, I am charging and you? - The artwork is based on social media and how an individual’s mood is dependent on the number of LIKES. The mixed feeling which the emoji’s are depicting is a constant struggle. .It has become some sort of a validation through the amount of likes gained in order to boost confidence and vice versa. Welcome to the new kind of evolutionary love, whether you like it or not it is there in our minds the constant urge and need to maximize our likes. Discover More - Instagram: @wardaranaart 16

Dana Martin, The Other Mother - I created this piece as a tribute to the women in my life—a moment of gratitude for the endless supply of love and strength. As I crafted each layer of this print and the features became more defined, I continued to see small glimpses of these women. My art is a thank you. Discover More - Instagram: @boundlessdesign_

Lisa Argentieri, Contemplation - This watercolor painting is a self portrait; mirroring my feelings of isolation, and fear during the Quarantine of Covid-19. As an artist, I was used to spending many hours indoors in solitude, but as the weeks rolled by, I found myself contemplating about the future. The color yellow in this painting represents hope, and the purple represents the unknown. Painted directly without a preliminary drawing, I let the pigments mingle in this spontaneous painting. Jaël Roznicki, Fish Tales - “Fish Tales” is one of my earlier pieces. As an artist, I endeavour to express strong emotions, often difficult or even negative ones, while using vivid impactful color. This piece is about dishonesty. That no matter how you color it, or name it playfully you name it. As an intuitive emotional painter it is my hope that my passion and realness comes through in my work. As an intangible thing, emotions don’t have color, however within our bodies they are more impactful and vivid than things we see with our eyes. That is what I try to paint. The inner world of emotion. Discover More - Instagram: @jaelroznicki_art 31

Nae Zerka, UR [Untitled Rouge] digital painting. giclée print on hahnemühle fine art paper mounted on dibond, (100 x 100 cm) - Transformation is not a metaphor. The creation of a metaverse is on the agenda of the so-called digital giants and our society is undergoing a major transformation. But is it even possible to digitise human beings? To illustrate this transformation, I have created digital 3D meshes from portrait photographs and distorted them. These are then additionally painted over. In order to see the truth, something has to be taken away, so to speak. This also creates a kind of erasure. As a digital artist, I am naturally in a dilemma. Joon-young lee, A flower that smiles at you - I’m breathing and living for you. I don’t want a lot of things. Please come out. Please smile as brightly as you do now. When your smile shines in my eyes, flowers finally bloom in my heart. Although you may feel that the flowers are small and not beautiful, I’ll take care of that flower every day. If you can smile all the time, now you’re my purpose in life. The life I have lived so far was meaningless, and I only heard aimless footsteps. The Finsbury Park Deltics, Superhero Selfie 2 - Superhero. You are beautiful, aren’t you? You demand total immersion and obsession, having been weaned on the power of the image like no one before you. The perfect image sells. You know that. You know just how to create your brand. Your avatar screams the image you want your public to crave. But somewhere, just somewhere, you will hear whispers. Whispers of someone who knows you like no other and who you only see through a blurred lens. Enmeshed in your insecurity and yearning. Your hyperbole and ultraviolence. Tara Dinic, Skittles III - Inspired by her travels, in particular to South America, Tara Dinic works with acrylics to create vibrant, textured colours. The colours and dots used in the artwork depict raindrops and the emotions they bring. For areas of the Earth where it seldom rains, rain can bring happiness, food and colour. This artwork is part of a playful series ”Dots”, a combination of the physical form of rain with the feeling and effect it brings once hitting the Earth’s surface. A visually fulfilling exercise for the eyes and soul. Discover More - www.taradinic.com / Instagram: @taradinic 38

Barkha Barot, Untold Story of a flower - For me, hands are untold stories. This painting is one of those untold stories I wanted to tell in the form of artwork-without using any words. In this piece of art, the hand carrying a white flower represents the beauty of an ordinary moment where it might seem ordinary at the time it is happening, but looking back, it is nothing less than a magical moment in the history of one’s life. Holding onto the unconditional love and hope for a soul you so deeply connect with in the form of a flower. In general, I like my art to feel unfinished and not perfect, just how life is and how I am as a person, messy and unfinished. Therefore, some parts of the oil painting will appear more finished than others. Discover More - Instagram: @arthealsbyrain

Messiah Brown, Le Masque - “Le Masque” is a interesting portrait that was inspired by a dream I had. So I like to sometimes record some dreams if I can remember them, and I keep record in a dream diary. This specific dream I was mixing paint, blue and red. I looked up the meaning of those two colors and how they applied to my dream being that I got a glimpse of the image it was easy to create this piece as it was given to me. Lena Silva, Crooked Beauty - series. No.1 - Crooked Beauty series. An emotional intelligence awakening. Female’s lives, detrimental stereotypical views are dictated, pressed upon individually or as a group. A society saturated with unrealistic standards of beauty supported by a plethora of spotlight individuals and various media channels. External beauty utilised as a sexual manipulative tool, a tantalising fruit, as per society unrealistic expectations. The crooked side of it dangerously leads females to question their worth, place and roles in the society. Often, connecting painful fissures and fault lines as a direct consequence of unrealistic society pressures. STOP! You are your own and Beautiful! Listen to your inner voice, love thyself. Sue Trusler, Dandelion Dream - I chose this painting to showcase, as it makes me feel happy. My first venture into painting was restoring our narrow boat, with canal art roses. I then became interested in Botanical art, which really suited my attention to detail. Looking at other artists I longed to try being more expressive. Finally, I created something way out of my comfort zone, representing a freedom of expression I didn’t think I possessed. It’s given me a really exciting new direction for my art work. It gave me the confidence to write a book, Time To Start Your Art, published in November 21, to inspire people to take up art and enjoy being creative. Gabrielle Baker, Mineralogy 30 - Raw Amethyst - I paint abstracts of metals and minerals. This is my latest painting of amethyst crystal. My original depictions were two-dimensional, and “suggestive” of the crystalline structure of amethyst. I went to the reopening of the National Museum of Natural History’s Hall of Gems and Minerals last Summer and I was stunned by the huge geode of purple amethyst crystal at the entrance to the Hall. That specimen became my creative inspiration moving forward, and I have been creating threedimensional versions like this one that are more crystal-like in appearance. Amethyst eliminates negative energy, has a calming effect, and promotes deep sleep! Warda Rana, Fragile like a BOMB - Fragile like a bomb ought to be tagged on women nowadays, simply because they can do almost everything. Women have the courage to step up to the obstacles and face their fears. They challenge themselves to be stronger every day and enhance their confidence in performing sturdy tasks. Also, they accept their behaviour without blaming their character. Salute to those women who have the endurance and patience to work for long hours and later on have the energy to take care of household chores and look after the kids Discover More - Instagram: @wardaranaart 45

Sinclair Watkins, Tittle TBC - Sexual Assault is an insidious and ubiquitous problem that transcends boundaries between people. With this piece, I took a self portrait but removed the head: the metaphorical and physical identification of the self. All that is left is the body. Many days I wake up feeling like I am nothing but dust and a shadow of my former self. I have been left with only a corrupted and defiled body as a tool to navigate through life. I have often felt that this is the only tool I have left, despite it’s over sexualized corruption and defilement. The contradiction inherent in this makes me feel stuck inside this body that continues to betray me. However, I am not making this work just to portray my own experience. I do this to heal. And I do this to share my own experience strength and hope to anyone else who may need to hear it. Discover More - www.sinclairwatkins.com / Instagram: @pan.imus / Twitter: @pani_mus

Patrik Ševčík, DAY OFF - DAY OFF series responds to the current changing situation in the globalized world. The image is dominated by contrast, based on holiday well-being - a symbol of rest and relaxation. On the other hand, there is a moment of danger in the form of applied photographs of the tanker accident ... which are the consequences of time and the attributes that are part of life ... the common denominator is the sea. In the cycles, I portray the person (s) in different situations and contexts, which often happen separately. I use elements of manipulation, synthesis. The starting point of the work is in postphotography. The graphics are created in the technique of screen printing combined with manual printing by roller. Discover More - Instagram: @patrik_sevcik_

Igor Eugen Prokop, NO WAR ,PLEASE! - In the infinite universe, regardless of our thinking or knowledge, there are worlds created by special or even similar “human” beings, which are perhaps more necessary for the Creator to operate the entire system. If God does not need an irreparable, decaying, defective “component”, a dying Earth, Nature, Earth life, he will let it get to the cosmic garbage heap, with all its components. In order to reverse this process, as far as possible, Art and the use of a special system of creative minds are also required for orientation, for expressing feelings and thoughts. The work of art is also born in the same place as scientific discoveries. In the human brain. Discover More - www.prokopigoreugen.com / Instagram: @prokopigorjeno / Facebook: @igor.prokop.507

Gabrielle Mar, Celebration of Wishes - The more you celebrate and praise life, the more there is life to celebrate. Life isn’t meant to be lived perfectly, but merely to be lived. Face each day boldly, beautifully and magically. In this painting I want to express vitality and joy through surprises in composition and brushstrokes. How can magnificence be conveyed in colors? That is the way of my experiments to represent divine beauty in the abstract forms of this painting. The wonder in the universe waiting to be discovered. Kosi Ayanna, Cosmic Breath (2021-2022) - During a time in which the world was barely beginning to see what may possibly be the end of a global pandemic, this work in abstraction can be interpreted as a representation of the period of rebirth the artist was going through at the time. The Cosmic Breath of Brahma, of which this piece gets its name, derives from Hinduism. The Out-breathing and In-breathing of Brahma, represents the creation and destruction of worlds; bringing all meaning back to the source and exhaling to begin anew. With this piece, Ayanna translates mental awakeness to visual form. Cosmic Breath attempts to capture the moment where death turns to life. Discover More - Instagram: @000070n

Natalie Kere, Wahine Matike “Tāniko Series” - This piece I have entered is a commission I have done for my home towns new Library build. It’s the first one from this collection. Its about my connections to the area that I grew up in. The landscape/ land, mountains, river and sea. Put together in a contemporary form. I have used a triangle pattern which in Māori is called Tāniko. It is such a beautiful design that is very compelling to me. Catarina Diaz, Bold - In “Bold”, the colour contrast is ethereal. This composition of different universes aspires to capture the beauty in life. The purple background and the vibrant orange tones of the flowers draw our attention to the protagonist, a woman whose apathetic look is presented with daring make-up lighting up her face. Her straight, red hair sparsely embraces her face and seems almost to choke her neck and then falls wavy over her shoulders, on which a tiger rests, its front paws resting on a flower. In the upper part of the collage, a large orange flower extends beyond the painting and on which a pelican is perched, symbolising sacrifice and selflessness, but also empowerment. Angela Thouless, Jaguar Boruca Spraycan - This painting is inspired by the Boruca tribe of Southern Pacific Costa Rica. The history and traditions of Boruca masks began over 500 years ago, during the Spanish Conquest. ‘Diablito’ masks, or little devil masks were created and worn with the intent to scare the unwelcome invaders back to Spain. The Boruca’s believe that the spirit animals of the jungle help them resist the conquistadors, so their elaborate masks are designed to represent those fierce animals and also local flora and fauna of their country. The Borucan’s are very proud to have survived their struggles and keep their sense of identity intact. Boruca demonstrate that a tribe cannot be defeated if it’s culture is still alive today which is very much is and they continue to fight to preserve this. Shir Beck, Love, Flowering-art - This painting shows the landscape of the city of Eilat. A meeting of the sea and the desert. I painted this painting with paint and a rag on the canvas I reflect the cityscape. The Eternal City of the Sun Eilat. When I drew the painting it was created in me from a dance. For years I danced flamenco so the painting is reminiscent of the movements. In my drawing the presses of the rag on the canvas create clicks like The clicks of the heels with the legs of the flamenco. The painting shows the clear water of turquoise blue, in the Gulf of Eilat. I painted this painting gives me a feeling of unending freedom as one feels here in Eilat. The State of Israel. Carol Foulger, London Scene - My painting “London Scene” depicts life in the city of London and how we live our lives on the go. Jasmine Karimi, Her Painting - I am an interior designer and self taught artist. Painting has always been my meditation. Loved ones always encouraged me to take my artwork public and I never could. Always felt pride in being a misfit not knowing why. After a a downfall of emotions and a late diagnosis of ADHD at the age of 36, I got rid of built up parts of me that I no longer needed. A journey of finding a refined version of my identity with clarity brought me back to painting. Her is a part of a collection of paintings I started that symbolizes growth, diversity, femininity and self expression. Accompanied by a free soul with no expectations just an eagerness to what’s next. I’m still a proud misfit. I now know why. Discover More - www.inlay.design / Instagram: @inlay.design

Fruits Quartz360°, Who stole it !? - This is a photo. The waveforms of blue and rainbow were reflected. This waveform looks like a dragon, but it looks like the Japanese archipelago. The frequency emitted by this dragon is circular and visualizes how the Earth is organized. Visualization of chemical reactions, the process of light becoming nutrition, the process of nutrition becoming color, Dragons don’t really exist, but they convey them. Looking at the Earth from the inside, it teaches that nutrients made of light retain the shape of the Earth’s external structure. Anthony Ortiz, The Mark Collection - This work is a story about dealing with struggles, personal demons, and death. It is a personal motif of my battles and how I have been able to overcome them. The piece is charcoal, graphite, and pencil markings that have been darkened with Golden Medium Matte Gel over layers of Utrecht and Amsterdam Acrylic earth tone mix. The technique I used was both brushed and finger. The blue blended terrestrial like balls represent the breaking and the separating of my soul from the destruction and depression of my struggles with ADD, Dyslexia and childhood trauma, then coming to the surface of my own. The piece is dedicated to my Childhood friend Mark Rivera who passed away on September 11th 2021 from Covid complication. There are five more pieces in the collection. Discover More - www.anthonyortizstudios.com / Instagram: @anthonyortizstudios

Jaël Roznicki, Life Lessons - “Life Lessons” was a piece that came from realization and mortality. My father had a health scare with his heart and it was a sudden shock that age catches us all. As part of that reflection, this painting emerged as a composition of memories, stories, feelings, and regrets. A reminder that life is not linear and the essence of a person is made up of many expenses. I am very proud of this piece, as it has been internationally published, meeting a milestone in my art career. Discover More - Instagram: @jaelroznicki_art 73

Kohlben Vodden, Red Sebastian - “Red Sebastian” is a visual story of the secret identity that exists in the dissonance between personal identity and public image. Designed to command the viewers’ attention, this piece employs psychological insights from Neuroaesthetics with abstract expressionist influences, while recalling the techniques of colour field and hard-edge geometric painting. The fearless palette is dominated by red which provokes the strongest emotions of any colour and represents high arousal concepts such as sex and danger. Cadmium red is contrasted by the cooler compliment of turquoise which represents balance and serenity to create a truly evocative abstract portrait. Grant Milne, New York City - Portrait 1 - This painting is of a gentleman wearing a beanie hat however, this is not the official NY logo. One of New York’s most iconic logos is the interlocking The New York Yankees baseball cap. The New York Yankees are an American professional baseball team, based in the New York City borough of the Bronx. They compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the American League East division. The Yankee Stadium was completed in 1923, which is also known as ‘The House that Ruth Built’ due to the fact that many fans would come and watch Babe Ruth who’s career spanned across 22 seasons. My preferred style is a trucker hat. This style originated during the 1960s as a promotional give-away from U.S. feed or farming supply companies to farmers, truck drivers, or other rural workers. Elysia Gilman, Reflections - The Savoy Hotel - Elysia Gilman is a 22 year-old artist from North Wales who seeks to capture moments in time with her oil paintings. She is most inspired by the impressionists, so capturing light and movement with confident brushstrokes play an important role in her work. Alongside her artwork of sporting and figurative scenes, Elysia was inspired to create a series of work around The Savoy Hotel after watching a documentary on television. With this piece, Elysia was drawn to the bright colours being reflected onto The Savoy Hotel’s most iconic vehicle. Working freehand with oil paints from a photograph, Elysia wanted to re-create the light and reflections whilst still keeping the brushstrokes visible. Marijah Bac Cam, Poésie Organique n°3 - Drawing / Painting with Ink, Spray Paint and Posca on Watercolor Fine Art Paper 300g 50x70 cm / 19,68x27,55 in - is part of a series of 5 artworks mixing stretched mark making and organic lines to contrast. This is an abstract interpretation of the contrasts of our world, between artificial and natural. The main color blue represents the seas, oceans and skies of our planet earth and oxygen of course. It is for me a feminine color in contrary as we can think in our occidental culture and patriarchal society. Blue is the color of the life. The organic lines in contrast with the stretched blue paint symbolize the vibrations of Nature. Discover More - www.www.marijah-baccam.com / Instagram: @marijahbaccam

Jordana Rae Gassner, Hegaldian - Cosmic Nature. A fantastical exploration of nebulas and gas giants dancing with jungled earth tropical paradise. A space where perhaps it is underwater or maybe the small white details to the left are pollen releasing instead of air bubbles. Hegaldian is discovering concepts of origin, genetic change and beauty and is part of the Egiazko Koroa series. The entirety of the Egiazko Koroa series revolves around interconnections of what is of most value, utmost importance. Immortality vs. Eternity. Of worth found within ephemerality? Taking large concepts and immersing them onto a canvas of experience and exploration. What is a dance of experience, what is thought in comparison to an idea of everlasting? Maria Lopes, Sonnet to Flowers - This work represents my most inner feelings for the surrounding nature where I live. Everyday, on my walks I’m confronted by its beauty and it has been the theme for most of my body of work. All Inspires and ignites my art: colour, texture, design and value. Looking closer to nature has been a daily practice, where I pay attention and look closer to all details, taking hundreds of mental pictures, that then I reproduce in my paintings. I used a mix media technique of acrylic, oil, and graphite on paper. I wanted the viewer to feel the power of nature colours through contrast and texture, like an outburst of emotions. Véronique Kathrina Jonassen, Figli del Mondo - “Part of a series of three paintings, “Children of Trauma”, “Children of the Sun”, “Children of the World”. This series is a tribute to our lives, our connection, how we have evolved and grown together through the difficulties life has thrown at us, and how we overcame them as stronger, kinder and better human beings. We didn’t let our hearts darken from the pain, instead we let it expand and bloom. “Figli del Mondo” is a message to the world that no matter how much trauma may be inflicted upon us, we will never let that bring us down. It can be turned around 90 degrees to show a set of different faces, it can then be turned 90 degrees to show another set of faces and again 90 degrees to show the final set of faces and then it can be turned 90 degrees to return to the original set of faces. Cecile Lobert, Neon Episode collection - In her signature impromptu and non-strategized fashion, Lobert expresses a sudden enigmatic love affair with neon hues in her series Neon Episode. A departure from her traditionally used colors, this quick tryst resulted in paintings peppered with pinks, limes, acid oranges, and violets, amongst other ebullient shades bending toward the sunny and sprightly-tinged feelings of happiness, joy, and the ambiance of eternal springtime. A departure from darkness toward light emerges true to form. Each piece can be viewed in its original state, or, transformed into an electrically thrilling work when seen beneath a UV light. As a grouping, Neon Episode represents a fresh and modern take on Abstract Expressionism, evolving a historic genre and verging into a contemporary realm of abstract Pop. Cecile Lobert, BLISS - A kernel of dense green sprouts central in this piece, surrounded by an abstract square composition spawned by lush pink, yellow, white, and more defining frames of lime. The seed is alluring in its embodied presence, a morsel of heart beating with a pulse that permeates the entire painting, connoting a sensual and rapturous outpouring of the artist’s soul. Do her borders wish to contain such an ebullient experience as one’s deep connection to their own inner impetus or are they meant to elevate the creative spark upon a pedestal in electrifying homage? Bliss is apparent. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 102

Cecile Lobert, BLOOM - Lavender fields, pink poppies, and indigo skies are evoked in this grand visual, paired poem to Spring. The three colors converge in a frenetic interlude, dancing in dialogue as distinctly as defining themselves. The brushstrokes, light and full of whimsy, interplay as if tousled by gentle breezes on an April afternoon. Delight is evident from the full use of canvas surface in which every corner is explored. The dark blue patch at the lower right corner of Bloom, when put side by side with the dark blue patch in the lower left corner of Blossom, conjures the presence of water and the flurry of seasonal flow. Cecile Lobert, TAFFY - The sticky sweet lure of hard candy, transparent as glass, dominates this stage as thick, rich strokes of fuchsia, purple, orange, and blue fill up the frame in joyous melee. Taffy-stretched strokes layered with ripe abandon create piles of syrupy brightness. One final swath, laid front and center, mixes every color in a sloppy wet stripe, pregnant with the promise of more treats to come. The childlike piece tantalizes the memory banks of more innocent times and the abandonment of inhibitions that accompanies the purest glee. Cecile Lobert, WOMB - Neon pink, the flush and plumped color of the womb, a bed of potential, spawner of the spark of all life. On this bed of the feminine spirit, Lobert lays down an intrusion of violet, and above that, a tornado of gold leaf. A simple three-color composition that so sublimely throbs with the blank canvas of life. A cotton candy field of glimmer, a soft place to fall into, a natural glimpse of the female experience in its most natural state. Where all creation is made, where all worldly intentions are made. A testament to motherhood in all its forms. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 105

Cecile Lobert, SUNFLOWER - Yellow infused and softly liquid washed petals creep up through the depths of

this Neon Episode piece devoted to the tender yet tumultuous moments of life’s warmer seasonal feels. Lobert reaches her flurry of saffron up and outward in a sea of pink and lavender, extending the sunny reach to fully infuse the canvas space with the salting of bright as an overlay of expression within a moment in time. The moment is that cotton candy field of wonder we might all reach if we are truly willing to open our eyes and see. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 106

Cecile Lobert, FLUX - Every color of Lobert’s fresh experimental neon foray is represented in this visual display of short frantic strokes. Playing with color and combination, her newfound love of turquoise, pink, lime, violet, and orange converges to play. A creamy, muted, tangerine shade is teased from the hue of hot sun. Purple boogies in the center with its newfound friends. Tined scratches mark the foreground as a swish of discovery and pale pinks fill the background with a muted romance that carries all the synchronicities that lay above. A final dance of dripped orange blends the whole scene together as reminder that everything is always in motion—both chance and the organic act of finding. Cecile Lobert, HOT STORM - Standing outside, alone, on a torrid summer day, the sun dissipates into a thousand points of yellow and orange, just as the refreshment of grounding violet takes hold in the lower torso. What mélange of emotions can be expressed by this simple feeling of leaning into the elements? This perfect painting illustrates that combination of the visceral with the emotional, the succumbing of one’s moment to the enhanced enveloping of all that is and ever was a true communion with mother nature—a release and liberation. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 108

Cecile Lobert, ON FIRE - Persimmon comes to the stage, on fire and scintillating, in this ode to steaming orange. Mingling with an ominous field of dusky blue, it asks us to remark on the beauty of disparate parts, the unbelievability of some non-complementary yet fantastic endeavors, the idea of opposites attract and the heat that boils in that uncustomary contract. A beautiful rendition of parts normally unspoken for, the matches not necessarily made in heaven, the combination of identities that define true, unadulterated friendship in the vast sea of non-traditional but natural union. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 109

Cecile Lobert, SPOTLIGHT - From below a crown of smoky blues comes a dash of yellow light to transverse the fog. Like all shadows in life, the illumination provides vivid insight into the layers of veil above. Intrusions of cherry red and pumpkin orange creep down to meet the yellow bulb, navigating together through the blanket of mute. Everything starts at the center where the true stars are born, snapped like fingers as sources of bright in the murkiest of night. Spirit shines through – an inherent impetus to be seen, and never ignored. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 110

Cecile Lobert, RISE - The lower portion of this painting looms dense with primary neon color—blue, orange, yellow, and green, yet as the strokes strive toward the top, an ethereal moment occurs. White steps in, claims space, dissipates the strokes, and reminds one of the scattering of molecules that takes place as a human’s vibrational field transforms from the opaque to the spiritual. A clear delineation between heaven and earth all spritzed over by a drizzle of yellow dripped weave because, despite the difference, what is above is always what is below, albeit their quantum disparities. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 111

Cecile Lobert, CONNECTING THE DOTS - A blustery sea of green and dusty blue reminiscent of land and water tipped with throes of violet become an existential background for a lavish composition of impasto orange. Dots in the mix appoint a structural ideation as if a floating barge across a moving feast – a boat atop a stormy vastness. What hot emotion sparked this build upon build with an artist focused on reacting to her every present moment? What is the orange and what is it wafting upon, set awash on a background full of painterly surprise? A skeleton brought its surface. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 112

Cecile Lobert, NIGHT FIELD - Creeping beneath the blanket of night, a field emerges regardless of its ability to collect its rays of self-sustaining sun. Life grabs for all its vitamins, even in the darkest of indigo midnight shadows. Green bursts forth, hungry with survival, wormy orange meandering through its verdant field, aware that it shares subconscious secrets. What lies beneath expressed through the comfort of the wee hours where dreamers succumb to unconscious flight and the wide awake find new revelations behind close covers. All within the moody cohesion of sleep’s lullaby. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 113

Cecile Lobert, SUMMER - Hands thrown heavenward in spontaneous, rejoicing joy uplift a dark purple figure in the center plane of this painting that reeks with euphoric atmosphere and the presence of the divine feminine. Catapulted by exuberant hot pink, waltzing through green meadows, and all beneath a savory sun-splashed sky, this piece is drenched with the sense of embracing every solitary moment when the mood overwhelms the ordinary in ways that move the spirit. Lobert’s ode to existential pleasure is exhilarating in a way that takes one’s literal breath away—boisterous mirth and elation at its most primal. Discover More - www.cecilelobert.com / Instagram: @iamcecilelobert 114

Cecile Lobert, SINCERITY - In this piece, the solar plexus denoted by the yellow bed smooshed with red below, suffices our age-old tale of being grounded in the “I.” Who is the “I?” For Lobert, the “I” is only a matter of color and stroke, in any given moment. In this case, the “I” lays ground for a swatch of green, a girlie scratched cat claw of awe, a strata of pink midpoint and an “ahhhhh” of blues and violets above. Whites always appear in random places to remind us that we are all in a perpetual cycle of rebirth and renewal, like Kandinsky.
