“Space Knight” etching and collage, 10 x 12 inches My art is a portal to a future civilization where doom and hope coexist. In attempt to envision what our world would be like if the environmental collapse were to happen, I set off to capture our transitioning and reinterpret canonical representations of post-apocalyptic disorder. Using drawing, etching and collage as primary means of self-expression, I offer a glimpse into the new reality with a hopeful outlook, depicting how those who survived the massive drowning would deal with the precariousness of living. Central to my works are the themes of loss and survival, and reproduction of human knowledge and artefacts.

Wi l l Yaya
Will Yaya is a multidisciplinary artist, with a long career, but also entrepreneur in the arts and design. Paintings, sculptures and jewelry are his passion. He loves large formats, texture and brilliant colours in his paintings, figurative forms with his sculptures and with jewelry the organic elements and nature are present. The purpose of his work is the design and how compositions can play an emotional role in the viewer, no matter the material.

tmucchiani@gmail.com Tiziana Mucchiani-Farah
Tiziana Mucchiani Farah masters various materials but pays special attention to bronze, revealing to the viewer the amazing capabilities of the metal. The dominant element in the sculptures ‘Joy’, ‘Movement’, ‘Sea Shell’, and ‘Feelings’ is a ball, the perfect form of existence of matter in space. The movement of this matter generates voids and bursts in the surrounding world. The different nature of the surfaces reflects the story of their lives: on the outside, the shell has congealed and been polished by waves, but inside it remains heterogeneous, seems mobile and still growing. Mirror-smooth, sparkling, pure – ‘Joy’; complex, as if formed by numerous attachments of particles to the whole – ‘Feelings’. Tiziana’s works are not only decorative as visual objects; their main appeal is tactility. A mental touch to the sculptures allows you to feel more keenly the difference between the objects of the world around us: learn to recognize the shape, express the sense of touch, and look for emotional associations. Tiziana Mucchiani’s monologue, in my opinion, is about the way the matter spreads in space, what traces it leaves behind (shape, color), and what feelings this trace awakens in the viewer. This is no coincidence because sculpture by its nature is akin to dance: it helps to embody feelings plastically.

Inga Elser is an Abstract Artist from Switzerland. During the whole years of her business life, her thinking was dominated by facts and figures. But now she’s in the period of life, where she can work with her free mind, soul and spirit. She’s an encouraging, motivated and colorful artist. If artwork dominates a life, it’s a gift, it’s love, motivation, passion, a pure challenge. For some artists like her, it’s a calling! Imagine, when you first see a painting, you can’t really say, what draws your attention towards an art object. A special shape, a special color, the mixture of colors, something which remembers you on other painters or is it a sensation of an extraordinary composition. Or even better, you are discovering a painter, which you didn’t know before. As soon as you are attracted by a certain painting, you will be interested to find out either more about this special object or the painter’s intention behind the artwork. It could easily happen, that suddenly you imagine, how this artwork would present itself in your home. That’s the first step to fall in love with an artwork. You know, investing in a piece of artwork is like investing in yourself ! A painting is something of value. You see every day in your home, which belongs to your intimates privacy. It cannot be equated with buying a piece of expensive fashion, which maybe is out of mode in a few years. Our society needs artists to express the current times values and their specific cultural custums. While on one side artists with their work express, what impress them, if positively or negatively, it’s on the other side in the responsibilities of museums, cultural institutions, curators, galleries, that artwork of valuable and unique caracter will be promoted, supported and preserved as a cultural good for our future generations. Artwork as an accurate diary/mirror of any historical period, shows the whole variety of idealism, individualism, attitudes, lifestyles. So far we have good news for contemporary artists, who are talented, ambitious, inspired, dedicated and willing to spend a lot of energy in designing extraordinary artwork for the upcoming generations. This work has good chances to survive the artist one day and to
put an important impact on a lot of people out in the big World. Artists need the active support and the appreciation of the society, but what they also need to be successful, is enough self confidence, self motivation, self critic, a lot of determination and this immense inner drive to work without hesitation, without questioning him/ herself ‘why do I do, what I do’. Artwork is something so beautiful, but also urging, each artwork a challenge, an artist like her simply has to do! Art is a gift, is love, is passion, is live. It’s a calling.

I discovered that with my welding machine I could create something new, not only paint or draw, but I could do it in three dimensions, and best of all, I could reuse those pieces that I saw as a child with so much wonder! All my works, increasingly, try to catch an essential beauty. To achieve a sensation of movement to escape the rigidity of the materials that compose it. Today I am in the process of learning. Discovering new materials and welding techniques. Finding

new ways to give life and functionality to pieces that for others are lost.
I was about 8 years old when I accompanied my father to work in the fields. I loved to discover abandoned corners, full of junk and artifacts that had not been used for a long time, which I looked amazed and surprised, seeing that such a thing, so beautiful to me, had no use. Just being able to admire it made it valuable to me. Another early memory I have is when I visited one of my uncles who worked in electronic repair. He disposed of many complex components that I was able to take apart, piece by piece, as if it were a puzzle. Each piece had beauty in itself and I often kept these components as if they had an artistic destiny already planned Over the years my interests and curiosity became broader and more voracious. When i found interest in something I found myself learning all aspects of it, almost becoming devoured by it.
So I went through several stages throughout my life: drawing, painting, woodwork, mechanical work, metals, and restoration of objects. Until at some point I learned to weld‌. Despite having an eternal artistic interest in all its facets, my professional career veered into another direction, a Public Accountant. I studied and finished my career but never leaving aside my deep interests and passions. After a few years of pursuing my profession, along with having gone through several artistic stages and personal experiences that served as a base, I moved forward with my passion and taught myself how to weld with my new welder ready to produce the objects in my mind. I began to reuse and weld metal remains that had been in workshop for years.

Mazmanian is one of Armenia’s best-known figurative sculptors. His spatial sculptures, in bronze and marble, have been described as ‘abstract yet contain realism’. They carry intellectual inertia by showing human ambition, cultivation, awakening, and evolution. Mazmanian’s unique style of sculpting and perspective has been shaped by years of exposure to many cultures and artistic styles; although he has learned the most from nature and the human figure. In fact, most of Mazmanian’s work involves the human figure in all its beauty.

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Since I was a child I always liked painting, specializing in pencil and charcoal drawings. Although I was influenced by art, my background was in Electronic Engineering and my life has always revolved around Advertising and Creativity. Towards the end of 2012, I started experimenting with materials such as methacrylate and making cuts with my laser machine. I liked the results and have been experimenting with this technique ever since. www.jayneshearer.co.nz jayne30shearer@gmail.com @ jayne_shearer In 2006 Jayne completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design. While at Art School she was drawn to Pop Art and Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe Paintings and Screen prints. The Luscious lips and his use of vibrant vivacious colour led her to look at the place of beauty and glamour in today’s consumer society and its effect on identity - She was painting and drawing multiple lips with pencil and paint in an attempt to signify the beautiful surfaces of the things we love to buy, to own and to consume. It then evolved into using Jaynes own lips to kiss the canvas and paper using lipstick thus short-circuiting the need to paint and draw multiple lips. She uses her own lips as a ‘printer’. The act of kissing the surface of the canvas represents the love for the ‘beautiful things’ with which we surround ourselves. She started out using just one lipstick colour and composing monochromatic pictures but eventually got her hands on as many colours as she could. Since then Jayne has been collecting examples from the images of beauty and glamour that surround us, constructing images from them as models from which she could paint. With the exaggerated size of the artworks as well as the careful placing and perfecting of each lip print She glorifies the surface and the objects of desire that are portrayed.

OSTOLAZA Pilar Ostolaza’s works look like a single ensemble, like a chain of illustrations for one book. The black contour outlines the figures, gives a sense of motion and leads the viewer from one sheet to another. This outline plays a role of the frame, the main storyline. Bouquets of emotions, a haze of memories, flashes of associations and guesses are already blooming around it. So what is this book about? Principally it is about a woman, her past, present and future, about her dreams and reflections. It is no coincidence that every now and then the black outline turns into whole phrases; and even without knowing Spanish, you can guess what this or that composition is telling us. Pilar’s paintings are an autobiography, a living of her own experience. However, they can make one recognize memories that are common to all, universal, with no age or gender. Take a deep look at these watercolors: perhaps one of them is telling about you… - Alexandra Konshakova Art critic Saint-Petersburg

Built in 1899, it’s magnificence has played host to the likes of Winston Churchill, Howard Carter, Princess Diana and many interesting characters over the years. With little time to unpack and freshen up, I rush to pull myself together to meet the rest of our group for cocktails followed by our formal dinner. While this does not normally sound daunting, it quickly becomes so when the adventure you are going on is a vintage themed excursion set about 100 years ago, 1920’s to be exact. Vintage clothing required. This was the era when glamour and elegance reigned supreme and people took time to dress (something I had precious
This is where our time travel begins. Our group of 25 people made our way to the beautiful terrace to enjoy drinks while taking in the warm desert breezes and watching the sun set over the Nile. It was like something out of a dream, almost as if Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon would appear from around the corner. Once the amber sun disappeared, it was time to dine at the Hotel’s famed 1902 restaurant. The massive beautifully carved doors opened to reveal a most grand ballroom where we would dine on sumptuous Egyptian delights. Hot jazz played in the background and our hosts Dr.’s Colleen and John Darnell took to the floor, which they effortlessly commanded….The fabulous Darnell’s are the epitome of elegance.
Who are the Darnell’s you ask? Well, let me share a little bit about our hosts. First a few steps back. About a year prior I was photographing the Jazz Age Lawn Festival in New York City for a magazine assignment. The summer festival on Governors Island features a huge Gatsby style party. There was so much to photograph but a very well dressed couple in vintage finery happened to catch my eye. The woman looked like she was a silent movie film star. The man had a rugged elegance like that of an early explorer. I strolled over to have my first encounter with the Darnell’s. It was revealed that they were both Egyptologists as well as Professors. Interesting.
During our conversation, they mentioned they were putting together a 1920’s vintage trip to Egypt in the future. Bells went off in my head as I had always wanted to be an Egyptologist but took a different career path. I handed them my card and asked them to stay in touch. Thankfully they did just that! By the way…. there is one thing you should know about the Darnell’s. They live in vintage clothing full time and embrace the simplicity, manners and elegance from that era. A trip to the grocery store - vintage. Teaching at Yale vintage. A night out on the town… you get the idea. New York City is full of fascinating people but Colleen and John are by far the most unique couple I have met while living in New York. Back to Egypt….
The next morning we all met in the lobby ready to depart for our journey down the Nile. Hotel guests were stopping to take photos of us, I suppose we did look quite odd to others dressed in vintage attire. “Who are these people?” We heard mumbles ...some thought we were part of a movie. Someone in our group whispered to an on looker (jokingly) that some were members of the Swedish Royal Family. Any way you slice it, we had them wondering. Our intrepid group consisted of various walks of life, from a darling family, an entertainment attorney, a burlesque dancer, a historical costumer, fine art painter, a world- class mixologist, a 92 year old spunky woman from NYC (who still runs her Wall St. finance firm), a governess from London and other fabulous adventurers. As diverse as we were, we all had several things

in common - the love of travel, passion for history, a sense of adventure and vintage fashion. Some of the guests were vintage diehards and much attention was given to their wardrobes and a couple of the women designed and created their own vintage wardrobe. Others wore authentic vintage only and some a mix of old and newer pieces. The men were not to be out done. I must say it was easy on the eye to see how handsome they looked at cocktail hour and dinner wearing their suits or tuxedos.
inviting welcome by our crew. As we climbed out of the boat it was rather obvious that we were not the average tourists but instead a group of people dressed in Agatha Christie style 1920s attire. What would they think of us? I’d worried a little that the Sudan’s 60+ crew members might find our outfits eccentric, or off-putting. Instead, they were delighted to find people who cared as much about the boat’s history as they did. Setting foot on her gangway was like a step back in time to the golden era of travel. Few places are better suited to getting lost in the past. It was almost a century ago that the first traveler’s set sail on the Cook & Son’s steamboats. Today, the SS Sudan is the last surviving ship from the steam-powered fleet – the only one still gracing the Nile with her paddlewheels and oiled teak decks.
Early the next morning after a hearty breakfast, a small, brightly colored boat took us from the Old Cataract Hotel down the Nile to the nearby dock where the SS Sudan was waiting. This was to be our home for the next 5 days. As we pulled up to the grand steamship, we were greeted with smiling faces, happy voices singing the sounds of Egyptian music. It was such an
As tempting as it was to spend the entire time on board, lounging in the wicker chairs on the roof-terrace or drinking gin and tonics at the cozy bar, the passage from Aswan to Luxor was so rich with ancient Egyptian ruins and not to be missed. Additionally, The SS Sudan is the only boat to sail north of Luxor to the town of Qena, where we visited the sacred city of Abydos and the Temple of Hathor in Denderah.
The sound of the engines started to hum along with the splashing of the massive paddle in the water. We were off and sailing down the Nile to a week ahead of magnificent destinations. Each day John and Coleen led us to their favorite sites along with our local Egyptologist who provided valuable insight and historical context. As a photographer I was torn between learning about the ruins or capturing photos, it was not an easy balance. It is one thing to see the temples and ruins in books or on a screen but it is entirely astonishing and mind boggling to see them in person. I was completely gobsmacked! The craftsmanship and scale is incredible and awe inspiring.
The relative lack of fellow tourists made our excursions more memorable which was primarily due to the fact that we were visiting at the beginning of the HOT season. During our visit to Edfu, we clocked in at 115 degrees, and yet Coleen managed to look flawless in her chiffon dress, heels, parasol and 20’s makeup. John was in various layers of pants, vest and jacket. Neither cracked a sweat. Me, well, any makeup that I had on had melted off my face and I was downing water like a camel returning from weeks in the desert. Who cared, this was all too fascinating! The week continued with one temple out-doing the next. Each location seemed to top the last and the group grew closer each day with all of our activities on board and off, it was all so much fun. My highlight was Valley of the Kings. I was quite surprised to see how small King Tutankhamun’s tomb was (smaller than my tiny NYC apartment) and yet it contained over 5000 items in it. By contrast, Seti’s tomb was massive and contained the most exceptional hieroglyphics that depicted the journey to the netherworld and passage to the afterlife. . Our week was winding down and our final dinner aboard the SS Sudan was a black tie affair with a sumptuous candle light dinner. After our dinner, we ventured off the boat to go on a special night excursion to Karnak Temple at Luxor. As we entered the temple, massive towering statues loomed large over you. Spotlights shown on the great ones and you could feel an eerie presence of the Gods and of those who walked those stone paths thousands of years ago.
The next day was our last in Egypt and we had free time to further explore Luxor or stay and relax at our hotel, the Winter Palace. Like the Old Cataract Hotel, this was equally as opulent. Designed and decorated to resemble a French or Italian palace. The hotel has a regal aura -- grand hallways and lush tropical gardens that filled the expansive grounds. This 19th-century palace was
once a winter retreat for the Egyptian royal family and where Agatha Christie wrote her famed 1937 novel, Death on the Nile. It was from the imposing staircase that famed archaeologist Howard Carter announced he had discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun. Some of us relaxed the afternoon pool-side while others went back to Karnak for one last archaeological fix.

return back to our modern day existence but admittedly it did feel good to put on regular clothes without all the fuss. It was truly an exceptional experience that was one of those life-changing trips you never forget. The magic of this Vintage trip was in the escape from digital technology, rich conversations with unique and eclectic people, enjoying a slower, simpler pace, forgetting about politics and the daily grind and to feel so elegant and beautiful in the fashions of that glorious 1920’s era.

KRIVENKO I have created a collection of works whose ultimate goal is to establish the balance between the virtual world and the reality. This project is based on everlasting and irreconcilable fight between realistic and avant-garde painting. I am confident that this concept would let me expand the stripe of art history to a new spiral and breathe new standards and opportunities in it. Touching upon the theme of eternal and transient values, I am coming right up to the perception of the ability of fine arts not only to identify a problem but also to determine how to solve it. In my opinion, this is the quality that will determine further development of arts

When sketching a new design gives me a specific energy, makes me happy and feel right, then my instincts are telling me that its something worth pursuing. The ultimate goal is to create an iconic sophisticated aesthetic spectacle. Remarkable design that strive to balance shapes and geometrics, while also creating abstraction to disruption and contrasts. The signature collection defines key terms as a leitmotif specifying a uniting theme that determines the shape and colours into a conceptual eyewear collection.

Acetate is characterized by its lightness and strength. Its usual vintage feels is redesigned by master artist Will Yaya and his approach makes spectacles a natural extension of forward-looking design, building a bridge between nostalgia and innovation. The eyewear Collection has successfully expanded its repertoire, experimenting with transparent colours like rose and blush blending beautifully with skin tones creating more definitive accents on the curves and the design of the frame.

She studied under the mastership of Aidan Salakhova, Sergey Ossovsky, Yuri Shishkov. After graduating Surikov’s Institute Narine made a step towards booming new media sector of arts and received an internship at the Digital Arts Department in Los Angeles Academy of Fine Arts in 2015/2016. Arakelian held a prime position at the Art Fair amongst the best of show, and was easily amongst the most successful at the fair, both critically and commercially. At the Scope Art Fair, Narine Arakelian displayed two of her favourite pieces of solo show “The Pharos Flower” (Venice, Italy, 2019). The first was her LOVE painting - is an impressive artwork of handcrafted golden silk with LOVE in bold letters throughout. The canvas explores what human nature is at its core, are we beings that moved by programming or by passion? An art collector who was present at the Scope Art Fair said the following. “Her art is fluid. Personal yet with a universality that connects to anyone. It was an emotional experience watching her work.” Whilst showing her art at Scope, Arakelian produced live performance art at the famous Versace Villa, the former home of the late Gianni Versace, also known as The Villa, Casa Casuarina. The artist draped herself in her artwork and performed whilst being captured in photographs by another well known female photographer.
