AUGUSTINE KLARFELD IG: @auguskla

Augustine is a 24 years old self-taught photographer from Paris. She only uses an analog camera (Nikomat). She likes the idea of discovering her pictures several days or even weeks after taking them. She likes to discover the imperfections of film which adds a charm to her photos and which means that they will never be as she imagined them for better or for worse. Urbanism, architecture, landscape, portrait ... She likes to take pictures of what she finds naturally beautiful, in the moment. No retouching. Obsessed with windows, she photographed dozens and dozens of them. Here are some of her favorites.

FANI TZIKA IG: @fani_tzi

Fani Tzika, is an Illustrator • Designer, born in Athens in 1997. She studied as an Interior Architect in University of West Attica. Art was always part of her life. Over the years she tried many forms of art, like painting, wood carving, sculpture and many more. What sparks her inspiration and imagination are very simple —observe people, buildings or nature, reading, walking, speaking to fellow artists, etc.— Inspiration is incredibly sporadic. She loves photography and she is also studying Video Art. Her dream is to inspire people with her artwork and connect with them. Producing art is something she truly loves.

MAY APOSTOLOU IG: @mayapostolou

May Apostolou was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She has recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at Newcastle University, mainly practising sculpture. She is currently fascinated by the themes of mythology and how its heroes may be embodied through the combination of different mediums, especially wood and metal. Throughout such study it has become essential to comprehend the heroes’ journeys, so as to externalise aspects of the human experience. Her works is an attempt to experiment with the human form, that has been significantly influenced by sculptors such as Kader Attia, Constantine Brancusi and Jacob Epstein.

BETTINA WILLNAUER IG: @bebtbinat

Bettina Willnauer (*1994) is working as a visual artist in Vienna focusing on the interplay of painting, textiles and installation; digital as well as analogue. The fluid correlation of rigid objects and more tangible textiles fascinates her. Studying Graphic Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna as well as the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Copenhagen influenced her way of working with bold color compositions, the interplay of text and image as well as approaching work in a very conceptional way.

ALEXIA TRIANTAFYLLOU IG: @alexiatriantafullou My name is Alexia Triantafyllou, student of the Department of Printmaking and Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I work as a freelancer in the field of digital illustrations. I have participated in short films as a set designer and illustrator. The technique I prefer is mainly engraving but also the mixture of it with other techniques such as monotype, phototransfer, photography and digital painting. In addition, I have expanded my knowledge in the field of sculpture, mainly with wood, but also in the field of traditional animation with frames from my engravings. The aesthetic result of my work approaches the black and white aesthetics of silent cinema, film noir, and old analogue photographs. The themes range between existential quests and philosophical, universal questions. I approach stories both from the ancient Greek world and from the Orthodox Christian faith, for example, borrowing characteristic elements from either mythology or the Bible and placing the characters in a brand- new existential perspective of my own, acting as a kind of director.

MARIETA ROU IG: @mar.rou

Marietta Rou is a visual content creator, using photography and design as means of expression and exploration. Her holistic approach enables her to produce creative photoshootings & graphic designs aiming to present the vision of each project. KATERINA MAVRIDI IG: @monumentsofdisaster Katerina Mavridi was born and lives in Athens. She is a visual artist with a strong interest in the social character of art. She graduated from the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and then did the master "Artistic Practices and Social Action" at the University of Bordeaux in France. Her practice consists mainly in installation, sculpture and assemblage. Narration plays a big role in her work and she draws inspiration from the curiosity cabinets and prehistorical museum collections. The main theme that always lurks in her work is the concept of the trace, translated either as a material remnant, as a physical mark or as a memory. She also carries out participatory workshops of psychotherapeutic and social character with different groups facing social problems and exclusion. She has taken part in group exhibitions in Athens and Thessaloniki and recently she has been working as an Arts Teacher in middleschool.

TOOMAS SAARNE IG: @atomernasoas

Toomas Saarne is an artist living in Berlin. The project “Atomernas Oas” (2021-), of which a first glimpse is displayed here, is a series of 35mm film exposures. The images explore the role of intergenerational trauma in bodily self-love and harness the artist’s gaze to play with their own taboos and sensuality in daring to travel to a new understanding of intimacy. Hands play a significant role in exploring the fear of being touched by others and by the artist themselves on the one hand, as well as for the quest to heal arcane bruises from past lives on the other hand. Layers of petals, textiles and crystals create a sanctuary to rest in for the remainder of the journey.

Chiara is a documentary and portrait photographer currently working between Berlin and Cairo.
