Born in Galicia in 1993, she became interested in art from a young age, especially in drawing and painting. As a selftaught artist and a professional in the social field, both aspects of her personality converge in her works. For her, painting is a challenge, a catharsis, and a means of personal expression When painting portraits, she seeks a connection through the experimentation of textures, colours, and constant learning Each piece evolves fluently, following a path marked by instinct and experimentation The pieces have unique characteristics, and the creative trajectory shapes the individual identity of each of them, similar to what happens with human personalities

SMARANDA HUIDEȘ IG @huidessmaranda

Intimacy is a risk which comes with the fear of being honest and vulnerable in front of your own self as well as someone else’s Each interaction with someone close is part of the process of defining intimacy

Hence, intimacy becomes a resource Through the ‘Intimacy’ series, a process was born, whose resources cannot be depleted This offers the artist the occasion to correlate emotions with the image itself, as every emotion sterns within vulnerability

In her painting process, she is the model, the executor and the critic, all at the same time Smaranda explores with the aid of alla prima technique too, creating paintings which express the reactions and emotions of people around her, as well as her relationships with them

LEO FRIEDRICH

+49 15222 457954

ARE YOU SURE OF ANYTHING YOU SEE? DO YOU BELIEVE IN CLEAR PERCEPTION? DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU’VE BEEN TOLD TO SEE? WHY DO YOU PREFER QUESTIONS IN A GALLERY? HOW LONG DO YOU LOOK AT SOMETHING IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND IT? HOW MUCH DO YOU TRY? DO YOU CONSIDER EVERYTHING AS A MASS OF TWO CONTRASTS? DO YOU BELIEVE IN STORIES OF THINGS? ARE YOU A READER? DO YOU SEE WITH YOUR EYES OR LIPS? DO YOU FINALLY REALIZE YOU SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT YOUR LENSES TO LIFE? DO YOU FEEL YOUR SITUATION OR SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOU? DO YOU KNOW THE COLOR OF THESE PAINTINGS? WHY IS IT PAIN AND RELIEF LOOKING AT THEM?

LUCIA NERI

IG @saturnica.art

By twisting her emotions into yet unrecognizable shapes, Lucia Neri evokes a fabulous and dream-like reality otherwise dormant

By juxtaposing human and cosmic or legendary elements she shows how our experience of life is surrounded by other hidden lives kept at distance only because of fear of our most rebellious and consolatory dreams

The result is a variety of different works that range from the traditional oil on canvas, to the chaos of collages to the experimentation of the digital universe

Sometimes she feels the bidimensionality of the support as a restrictive limit that she transcends by going beyond the surface of the canvas through the use of needles and threads
