ELEFTHERIAP @eleftheriap__
My name is Eleftheria I started out pursuing a pre-school teaching career at EKPA and graduated in 2019. Then in 2019 I started to pursue a career in animation, and through pursuing animation I remember how much I loved to draw. I was always involved with painting and I liked it but I never thought until today to pursue it as a career. One of my professors encouraged me to start drawing again and to use colors. I experimented with different artistic tools and a plethora of colors until I found the result that I liked.
CONSTANTINA DIMITRAKAKI @condimitrakaki
Ever since I can remember, ever since I was a child I used to draw. I didn't study arts but that "bug" never left me. For a couple of years I was experiencing a drought season but a year and a half ago I started drawing again. My inspiration comes from people around me. Mostly strangers. The 'Stupid People' reference is an ironic comment about all of us. Our days are so full that we stopped looking at people. We stopped appreciating the simple and meaning- ful things and focus on what others might see or what others approve of us. Through my sketches I'm trying to emphasize the funny, weird, awkward, ironic expression of a face or the bright side of a bad situation.
METE CONCIN @angie_dlt
What passes for hip cynical transcendence of sentiment is really some kind of fear of being really human, since to be really human is to probably be unavoidably sentimental naive and generally pathetic. But still, give yourself a try.
XENI OIKONOMOU @artisnotdead_
I am Xeni Oikonomou and I am 18 years old. I am currently studying fine arts in the Academy of Fine Arts Dresden in Germany. Because I study far from my country, I try through my paintings to capture some nostalgia that I feel for Greece. Politics catch my interest and I try through my art to touch on what is happening and what concerns me. In other words, I try to have an active role. I sometimes felt that everything I paint had to mean something, that every one of my paintings should have a background story. Then I realized that just everything I paint is automatically mine and represents me. Canvas is my soul, take it.
KONSTANTINA ZOMPOLA @konstantina_zobola
My name is Konstantina Zombola and I recently graduated from the University of Fine Arts based at Ioannina, Department of Fine Arts and Art Sciences with a focus on painting. My art can be described as figurative with realistic and symbolic elements. My painting mediums are based on oil colors, canvases and mdf panels. These four paintings are from a series of art works entitled “Indigo”. In an attempt to comprehend human existence and to justify the spontaneity of the thoughts and actions of the human being, I dealt with the inaccessible processes of the mind. As dreams and thoughts are filtered and controlled by the conscious, the subconscious and the unconscious, I have placed all three concepts pulsating to prevail in people's dreams, as well as in their unfamiliar reality.
FLOWERDUST ART @flowerdust_art
Mary Nterou is a ‘90s child, whose love for crafts & creation has been burning in her heart since an early age. Her innate talents led her to experiment with different art-forms until she realized that the freedom to express herself through painting was a feeling she couldn't ignore. Nowadays, she is a self-taught painter who has been honing her skills in different painting styles for several years and has recently created a platform called Flower- dust Art to prove that art can be life-changing when experienced in everyday life. Her recent project illuminating this connection between art and real life is combining her two biggest passions: paint- ing & fashion. The diversity of artistic styles and ideas is a fresh statement for new-age environmentally-friendly creations.
CAMILLE MARQUAND @gabriellamarquand
Before moving to Greece 18 years ago, Camille painted and exhibited in solo and group shows in Edinburgh, UK. Her work is in public and private collections. She started painting in a semi- abstract way 25 years ago but found ways to incorporate drawing. ‘Fire’ and ‘Flood’ are images where the abstract methods represent a threatening/threat- ened environment around the drawn birds. Caring deeply about environmental conservation, Camille has embarked on a series of ‘bird’ paintings, highlighting their charm, vulnerability and even the message they sing to humanity.
KYRIAKI POURGOURI @ispirazione_mondo
My name is Kyriaki Pourgouri, signed as Ispirazione Mondo, (in Italian) “World Inspired”. I have studied Decoration at the Academy of fine arts in Florence, Italy and afterwards I have completed my master at the FDA University of Florence, Italy in the field of Interior Design. I have combined my passion for travel with my passion for art, to create paintings that illustrate my emotions from the unique sceneries that I have encountered. Through my journeys I am constantly discovering and experiencing different cultures, sceneries and emotions that give me fresh inspirations. I hope that through my artwork the viewer can feel the same emotions and develop a desire to travel and explore our planet.
FOTIS MASKAI @fotismaskai
I am Fotis, a self-taught painter, born and grown up in Athens, Greece. Started painting from a young age, I realized the power and the importance of art in life.Paint- ing is a source of salvation to prove that there is a way to escape by making art. For me, painting is an inner journey of self-research and at the same time an outward expres- sion, a voice to the world. Exhibitions:M. A. D. S. Art gallery Milano (2021)
ISIDORA RENTZIKA @isidora.rentzika
Isidora Rentzika was born in Thessaloniki in 1990 and graduated from the School of Visual and Applied Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her artistic practice revolves around the notions of ambi- guity, irony and paradox. She is interested in capturing that particular moment when the figures of her artworks, after an inner revelation, are led to a possible transition, while at the same moment, she invites the viewer to experience something irrational as if it was logical, through a voyeuristic procedure. She has participated in various exhibitions, including: Pikap Community-Art in Thessaloniki, Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki, Inspire Project - Christopher Makos: Face the strange, Macedonian Museum of Contem- porary Art, Thessaloniki, Biennale Larnaca, Municipal Art Gallery of Larnaca.
CHRISTINA KATERGIANNAKI @kat.x_art
I was born and raised in Athens. Studied painting under the instruction of Panagiotis Beldekos, Dimitris Sarasitis, and Vasilis Soulis. I am inspired by the great painters of all time. Their work is the source of my inspiration. Painting has always been a part of me, my passion is Abstract art. For me, it’s the infinite liberation and uncompromising way of expression.
CONSTANTINOS RAFTAKIS @constantinosraftakis
Greek born & resident, insurance executive who started to create works of art with acrylics and abstract mood right after the first lock down (self-taught). The dimensions of my artworks vary from small to very large (240x160) using various techniques influenced mainly by the American Expressionists of the post-war period as well as by the German Gerhard Richter.
