KATE ESPINOZA IG: @thediarywithin

My name is Kate Espinoza and I live in Paris, France. In late 2020, I started making "outsider art" as a joke. I wanted to see if I could sell my pieces at extravagant prices, despite my lack of technique and qualifications. But then I realized that this was never a joke. Every brush of paint was a relief of something I couldn’t speak out loud. I always needed to make art, I just didn’t allow myself to do it.

In the course of her work begins to remove the naturalistic elements and emphasizes the structure and composition of shapes dictated by the display while reaching colour largely saturated. She is dominant theme in the works of ordinary faces by passing them to a more dreamlike word. She has performed over 20 group exhibitions throughout Greece and Italy.
