EVELINA ZACHARIOU IG: @evelynised
My name is Evelina Zachariou and I am an Art Director working at a BBDO advertising agency. Skilled in Illustra- tion, Conceptual Art and Digital Paintings. Strong arts and design professional with a Master's degree focused in Art & Design with photography from University of Wales.
MARA NAFTANAILA IG: @mara151985
The journey begun from an omnipresent feeling which, in time, took the shape of an idea: life is a collage. A collage of emotions, memories, sounds and scents. Everything that we like, everything that frightens, excites or motivates us. Intertwined worlds that give birth to our perception of this reality. This is the idea that guided and inspired me to create the artwork that stands now in front of your eyes - the meta- morphosis of commercial images into food for the soul.
ANGEL SIFONTES IG: @a.sifontes
Disconnected, it is a series of photographs that aims to represent the misnamed “new reality”. Social distance or "confinement",is the rule number one as a preventive method for Covid19, has forced people to stay at home, changing our routines. For months, the only relationship with my community has been through my curtains. Over there, far away from me, I see them go by. Rushed with their purchases so that the virus does not reach them. That omnipresent force that waits for us to remove our masks to attack us. The exterior has become a censored, pixelated and blurry film. A two-dimensional plane, with no depth to support it.
MIRUNA GHEORDUNESCU IG: @gheordu
Miruna Gheordunescu, is a graduate of the National University of Arts in Bucharest with continuity of Master's studies in Poland at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. In this context, the artist wants to make visible a latent state of mind that sets in motion others' natural state of being. For Miruna, the present is obscure, but the future is equiva- lent to the thoughts of the past. The clarity of reality is always lost. Through her personal approach, the works were made employing a harsh hue that will force others to go through another temporary phase.
DEMETRIOS MINA IG: @demetrios.mina
Demetris Mina with his ambrotype plates takes us on a time-travel journey back to the 19th century, using the wet plate collodion method which was introduced in the 1850’s, but at the same time he renegotiates and reclaims the narratives and connotations associated with the prac- tise. At the time of the invention of ambrotype cameras, they were associated with the high, privileged classes, because only them could afford their costly prices. Mina consciously avoids repeating that trope, creating the camera on his own from scratch. This is a very complicated process for an artist who wants to be self-sufficient and master the whole process, especially for the creation of the largest ambrotype camera of the world, with which he developed an almost life-sized photograph (and was recognized by Guinness). Mina’s works have an ‘aura’, reminiscent of Walter Benjamin’s theory in ‘The work of art in the age of mechanical reproduction’ where he argued that original artworks radiate a special energy from the fact that they are unreproducible and singular.
LEON FROUNDJIAN IG: @froundjian
"YUGA - The Spirit of Patience" “YUGAS” are multimillennial cycles of time in Hindu cosmology. In the face of the current pandemic and global crisis, this project responds to the urge of exploring inner states of being in which humanity finds itself now. “YUGA” represents the embodiment of patience, a deity amongst the celestial kingdom, a universal spirit that is now visiting and challenging humanity. This is a photo- graphic series that contemplates the long enduring process of gestation for a transformation to come true. Léon Froundjian is an Egyptian photographer based in Milan, Italy. He applies his filmmaking background to his visual research, which focuses on portraying anthropological and existential issues with a cinematic eye.
PRITHI BRINKLEY IG: @Prithi_Brinkley_Art
I am hugely inspired by the natural world. It feels vast, mysterious and soothing to me. Travel has been a big part of my life and being somewhere unfamiliar allows my imagination to be set free! The short times spent in these places and knowing I may never come back is motivation to make sure I capture the images that I desire! I love to edit in a way that creates drama and these pieces represent my artistic taste fully.
MARIOS KONDIS IG: @marios_kondis
Both pictures were shot on film, which is something I learned and cherished ever since I started it back in Febru- ary. For me photography is time, timing, space and light. When you get all these things together and be patient you end up with a great picture. In this case, I got lucky with both photos. The thrown away balloons on a hot Summer day and the old man leaning on a tree. Random photos in which I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time with my camera. I study Theory and History of Art at the Athens School of Fine Arts.

DANILO ZOCATELLI CESCO IG: @danilozc Visible invisible : This project is the celebration of life in different forms, the realisation and exploration of beauty regardless of disease or sadness. It should encourage both model and viewer to experience the beauty and delicacy of life; to grasp what it means to be alive. Celebrating life today, here, now, means acknowledging and combining our body, tissues, soul and mind, allowing these together to form a single me. Danilo Zocatelli is studying for a BA in photography in London. He is fascinated with human interaction, conduct and emotion. His ambition is to produce a project that represents the beauty that exists in every individual; to realise and represent inner beauty in anyone regardless of socially celebrated norms in looks or circumstance.
NOUMENO FEDERICA BRIZI IG: @_n_o_u_m_e_n_o_
Federica Brizi defines herself as an artisan. She loves working with her hands and experimenting with various techniques. That's why, during the period of pandemic and lockdown, when she could only rely on the materials she had at home, she started collaging, under the pseudonym of noumeno. noumeno is the result of newspaper clippings, glue, scissors and a strong desire to communicate beyond words. noumeno is recycling and rebirth.
MARIA ANDRONIKOU IG: @m_andronikou_photography
Maria Andronikou’s photography revolves around poetic landscapes and narrative discourses that combine various elements. She has commissioned projects from the advertising sector, exhibited and published work of a conceptual and documentary character in the UK and Cyprus. Usual- ly, you can find her covering music festivals, as well as working closely with bands and musicians to pictorialise their vision. For the past few years she works with moving image as a cinematographer and camera assistant for film. Her photographic series ‘Long Exposure Series’ was shot at Governor’s Beach Limassol, Cyprus back in 2013. It encap- tures the apparent motion of the stars in the night sky due to the earth’s rotation.
SYNNE LUNDESGAARD IG: @synnelu
Synne Lundesgaard is a Norwegian dancer, choreographer and filmmaker based in London, UK. She explores the tension inside ideas of togetherness/aloneness, and intimacy/authenticity. After graduating from London Contempo- rary Dance School in 2019, she worked mainly as a mover, but during the pandemic she expanded her modes of expression to include film and sculpture. Currently, she merges these into interdisciplinary projects. «By now (nostalgia for the present moment)» was her first explora- tion into film. IG: @synnelu
