JAMSQ @j.a.m_sq

JAMSQ is a mixed media artist working with paintings, moving visuals, sculptures and tattooing. Through the work created JAMSQ explores forms of biological life and how these can be warped and redefined as a new norm. This comes from JAMSQ growing up in a disabled household with both parents being visually impaired, he’s been introduced from an early age to the idea of adapting and finding solutions that allow us to survive, grow and reach our potential. This is something JAMSQ is constantly searching for within his personal life as well as his work, as he sees life as a malleable experience that can be redefined at any time. JAMSQ is originally from London but spending the past 4 years travelling and living throughout Europe he now lives in Athens.

SOFIA ANTONIADOU @sofialak7

My name is Sofia Antoniadou. I am 26 years old and I am studying Fine Arts at HfBK Dresden, in the class of Interdisciplinary and Experimental Painting of Christian Sery.My main occupation is oil painting, although I am experimenting with other materials as well, such as concrete sculptures and contemporary embroidery.Painting is a way to get in touch with my inner self and my emotions.Through my paintings I want to evoke people’s feelings, to pass on my experience while painting, because to me art is the tool to make connections between people. My biggest goal would be to see art being contagious. In my paintings I am working like a dancer, constantly moving all over the canvas, creating abstract shapes, non existing worlds, “documenting” my own artistic experience. Texture is also a very important characteristic of my paintings, as it reminds me of nature and how I see the world.

FELICIA REED RESOR @feliciareedstudio

Felicia Reed Resor explores the interplay of landscapes—both interior and exterior—through sculpture, installations, and works on paper. Through both her material and subject choices, she blurs the boundaries of the industrial and the personal. Found objects and relics from the artist’s home create odes to an artistic process that began as a child making sculpture from discarded materials on her family’s cattle ranch. She has exhibited in the United States, including an installation at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. Resor lives and works in Athens and holds a BA in Art and Environmental Studies from Yale University.

LISA GRABNER Grabner.lisa@gmx.net

Vienna, 2002 Studies painting and printing in the Art School Of Vienna “I developed a relationship to art (mostly abstract art) early on through my artistic family and used art as a kind of platform to express myself without words. What I love about abstract art is that it is unique. You can’t really repaint it, not with the same energy. It’s such an emotional, deep and meditative way of expressing personal feelings. More and more artists don’t paint what they see anymore, their surroundings, like landscapes, but what is inside of them. Modern art is shifting from the outside in the inside. Seeing my own inner world being exposed to the viewers eyes makes me nervous, in the best possible way. I am grateful to be here and for ArtNumber23” Besides art she pursues her passion for languages, philosophy and culture.

DIMANCE @dimance_art

Hi my name is Harry Tseregounis (Dimance ) and I am born and raised in Amaliada city until the age of 22 were i left and come to Athens to work as a graphic designer until now. From my years at High school i always loved to make my unique kind of tribal drawings and its a year now that i can combine the technology (ipad pro + ipad pencil) and my love to draw. The larger part of my art is through intuition i just follow my instinct of what is "nice" or not..every piece of art is a adventure, I don't know how it will end, except the main idea and sometimes not even that. With this way of drawing I am learning to trust myself and my intuition!

TANYA SOUMBASAKIS tanyasoumbasakis@gmail.com

Social Distortion was a punk rock band that was formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California. Their songs always had a political meaning behind them, always going against the social and political norms of the time. They named the band Social Distortion when one of the band members gave his distortion pedal to another band member to help play better than he did at the time. If we think about it society, for decades, has distorted us with its social norms, stereotypes and political agendas that are corrupt. For once, now, we can distort society by questioning everything they have forcefully spoon fed us for so many years. Maybe we should be the ones to Distort Society.

SOFIA ARCHANGELOU A.K.A. L’OEUF @la.poesie.de.l.oeuf

Sofia Archangelou (a.k.a. L’oeuf, b. 1974) is a Greek contemporary artist and painter. Her engagement with painting and arts in general dates back to her childhood years when she started to attend music and piano lessons that she successfully finished gaining a diploma from the Athens conservatoire, Greece. Her inquisitive character and restless personality led her to devote a major part of her artistic endeavors in the field of visual arts and handcrafting. Nevertheless, painting was her ever-unquenchable passion that was expressed ceaselessly over a period of twenty five years. She has since used different kinds of media and artistic forms, ranging from portraiture and depict imagery to abstract compositions.

MARIA KARRA (KARRMA) @karrmathewolf

In my study I use heterogeneous materials in order to depict each subject. I'm interested in telling personal stories/myths, which allows me to intrinsically connect the place where a stimulus is experienced to the emotion that is evoked, which is a vital process for the completion of a project/work. During the production of a piece of work, the words that emerge and occasionally survive until the end pertain to the concept of time, which I intend to introduce. During the selection of materials i concluded with the creation of two words; Dakrigosi= lace+eros+tear+thrilling, (it takes time) Enorgeia= spontaneous+thunder+energy+metal, (sudden) These two words represent the figure that is always present in and out of the painting surface.
