Empowering familiar objects with new meanings and poetic symbolism, she reinterprets the still life tradition by focusing on a single object at a time Almost hanged in the air of canvas, her big little symbols attract the viewer with its dynamic composition, interesting textures, and color relationships

The Oyster series refers to finding the beauty inside, cherishing one s inner complexity and putting on display the fragile side that is usually hidden

Vivianne Paris is an impressionistic artist born and raised on earth. A lost soul born again with a new vision to manifest Her work is inspired by nature, feelings and the acts of the sea Art brings me peace and offers a place to meditate on the beauty of the world and the grace I feel while living in it My highest goal is to convey and express to the viewer the feeling I get from the sea Which it can be only described with two words, peace and power

Artworks and their Meaning

1 La Mer Des Rêves Sea Of The Dreams

The meaning behind this artwork first is to give harmony to a place same as that of the sea Harmony that offered to our soul, our heart, our mind and most important to our dreams, just by looking at the waves and dreaming of the sea

2 Le Cri Des Vagues The Screams Of The Waves

The meaning behind this artwork is to make us understand that our life's and the waves are alike At one moment the waves can be calm and the next moment rough waves could await us Exactly like in our life Be like the waves, wild and serene Able to accept all the changes

PAUL

Since graduating with an MA in Fine Art in 1998 (Winchester/Barcelona) Paul Hartley has produced work that developed from a passion for drawing, printmaking and painting

Initially the mark making was abstract in nature, inspired by artists such as Cy Twombly and Tapies, but now often relates to the fact that the artist wears glasses

Working as a multi media artist he has produced several series of abstract mixed media drawings and paintings, as well as installations, sculptural pieces and videos

The imagery can be considered as an abstract response to the complexity of the world and as a way of depicting the act of seeing and focusing The jumbled marks inviting the viewer to untangle them

LEE JIA-AN

IG: @j anlee https://jiaan.tumblr.com/

Lee Jia An is a painter and writer who peers habitually into broken mirrors for an answer from the unknowable other side She is currently writing and painting stories about the people who walk through life nameless, the Southeast Asian plants and animals of her tropical childhood home and the strange dreams that land upon her when she falls asleep at night

Jia An was also a literature student and her favourite writers are Jorge Luis Borges and Silvina Ocampo It is to both these writers that many of her stories are written (secretly) for

DANIELA ARIZA

Daniela Ariza is a visual artist and photographer In her work, there is a strong interest in issues related to gender and family Her upbringing has given her an idea of the female gender that revolves around ability and strength Which motivates her to address these issues, with the purpose of making visible, exalting and resignifying these stories. Also, she is a faithful believer in the power of connection and female complicity and is interested in showing that special connection in her images.

Within the context of the Tikuna community of San Pedro de los Lagos, in the Colombian Amazon, this project explores the importance of being a woman and the ritual dedicated to them and their lunar cycle: the pelazón. Which consists of preparing them through the pain of total hair removal to assume the moment of giving birth with strength. Through empathy, complicity, and the conscious creative process of the image, this project proposes a look at the essence of this ritual, through images constructed from their own stories and anecdotes Using color as a common thread and an expressive medium; red representing pain and blue representing calm, the two main sensations that describe this significant experience
