GERALD NEZERKA @nae.zerka

Nae Zerka, born 1969, lives and works in Salzburg, Austria. As a traveler of analog digital synthesis, talented visual artist Nae Zerka never stops exploring. The artist's inspiration for his work are from digitalization, along with graphic design and music. Himself he produced electronic music and became a techno DJ in legendary clubs. His work blends the design element with technology, graphic design with a painterly finish. His dynamic paintings represent opposites, they polarize and therefore they are rich in contrast. Things reflect each other and the explosive composition gives an expansive richness of shapes and forms. His work is a mixture of digital photography and painting, in conjunction with soft color gradients and gestural strokes and marks. Warmth, cool, frantic, quiet, dynamic lines and shapes are combined with colors and forms and finally merge into an overall explosive composition. His abstract works of art challenge the viewer, the respective thought building of the viewer counts. In his works, which is often first created in painting and then digitally processed, Nae creates a transformed atmosphere that should let the viewer feel, sense and discover a new reality. His explosive and dynamic approach create a kaleidoscopic reality.

JONATHAN ARMSTRONG @j_armstro

Born in 1964, Jonathan Armstrong completed his Master of Arts Degree in Fine Art in 2020 at Winchester School of Art under Programme Leader and artist Nick Steward. Influenced by Doris Salcedo, Jannis Kounellis, Mark Dion, Andy Warhol and the artworks of Robert Rauchenburg with his notion of the ready made or “Gifts from the Streets”, in making art. Old newspaper articles, abandoned mattresses and domestic relics become charged with significance and saturated with meaning in his art. The unwanted, redundant and obsolete have become his obsession, like fragments of time, measured, catalogued and immortalised. His photographs, collages, prints and schematic assemblages transform these obsolescent items into poignant and commanding testimonies of loss and remembrance. In cataloguing the things we throw away, Armstrong hopes to draw attention to the environment we live in, while prompting the viewer to reconstruct stories, that spark memories and question the fragility of their own life.

DOLORES MEPHISTOPHELES @dolores_mephistopheles

After pursuing careers in several different job directions, I decided to live life driven by the desire to express myself. My paintings are done on paper with colours red, blue black and white. These colours helped me identify and express myself on my journey of looking for freedom from limitations, found primarily in Berlin techno scene. I currently paint on paper that is in theory, not meant for painting and thus, symbolises vulnerability of the pieces. Inspired by life lessons, music and techno culture, I combine energy work with painting, where for some paintings, I use my whole body as a tool. The mission of my paintings is to connect viewers with parts of themselves they might not be connected to.

SIGRID KOERNER @sigridkoerner

My studies in the natural sciences made me very sensitive to nature, its laws and creativity, which uses simple principles to create diversity, opulence and abundance. Despite its irrepressible power, nature is subject to great fragility. For this, art bears a special responsibility, with its means and possibilities, to open up an extraordinary perspective on problems for people and to create an awareness of them in a striking and individual manner. As a qualified color chemist, I know the chemical, physical and physiological foundations of colors, their compositions, structures and optical mechanisms of action, but also their unconscious symbolic power. They offer us orientation, let us see and recognize the world in all its diversity and beauty, and they represent feelings and emotions.
