WELCOME LETTER Welcome to the 16th edition of Art Santa Fe! I’m so happy to be back in this amazing city. It’s funny, when you ask people who appreciate art if they have ever visited, 99 out of 100 will reply, “I love Santa Fe!” It just has a magical allure that can’t be duplicated. Though my first visit to Santa Fe was over 25 years ago, I remember it well. I had been an art consultant for about a year and, as a top salesperson, I had qualified for a trip as a reward. I was enraptured by the city’s food, culture, museums, and music—and so were the many art collectors who were there visiting to scout out local galleries. What a special place. So when my dear friend Charlotte Jackson recently decided that she had taken Art Santa Fe as far as she could and needed a larger entity to take the reins, I jumped at the chance to welcome Art Santa Fe into Redwood Media Group’s circle of art shows. While the show under our leadership will honor audience favorites, we’ve also added new programming to excite the crowds, such as interactive Art Labs, inspiring Art Talks and Meet the Artist events, and the Spotlight Artist Program. We thank you for joining us on our first year at the helm of Art Santa Fe. We welcome you to take in the sights and sounds of this year’s event, featuring the curatorial theme [HORIZON], which showcases a world of artistry and originality stretching as far as the eye can see. Enjoy the show!

Eric Smith President, Redwood Media Group

SPOTLIGHT ARTISTS Artist: JEFFREY BISAILLON Booth: 418 Born in upstate New York into an artistic family that was rich in creativity, Bisaillon is fascinated with making the simplest shapes into things of beauty. Though he has painted in many genres throughout the years, his biggest connection has been with the abstract. The vibrant colors, bold brushwork, and resin finishes Bisaillon incorporates in his modern abstracts combine to create energetic pieces that jump off the wall.

Artist: MARY JOHNSTON Booth: 400 A contemporary landscape painter born and raised on the Great Lakes, Mary Johnston grew up with a sense that the natural world we live in is more beautiful and mysterious then we will ever know. Her large-scale contemporary oil paintings—boasting expansive skies, stretches of land, and peaceful waterscapes—depict a sense of vastness, which she attributes to her time spent in the expansive-skied Midwest and the great open spaces of the Western U.S. and Canada.

SPOTLIGHT ARTISTS Artist: SIRI HOLLANDER Booth: 309 Born in New York and raised by a family of artists in Andalusia, Spain, Siri Hollander began sculpting at the age of seventeen. Her connection to the horses that surrounded her in her youth informed her unique sculptural style, leading her to become a master of three-dimensional equine images. She combines steel and cement in her works, creating a trademark texture that, when cast in bronze, brings them to life, whether they’re grand, life-size pieces or smaller tabletop sculptures.

Artist: HOLLY GRIMM Booth: 110-B Raised by a photographer mother on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico, Holly Grimm grew up with a passion for drawing already coursing through her veins. Influenced by Abstract Expressionism, Chinese painting, and Navajo rug designs, she works to create abstraction from nature in her paintings. Using a plein-air approach, Grimm aims to capture the vital energy of the earth in a way that gives the viewer an opportunity to meditate on her images and feel the life force that brought them to fruition.
